I enjoy playing tutorials since they are supposed to SHOW you the ropes. They also give you an idea of what the game is about, how it plays, and to SEE if you’re going to enjoy it. I love these types of games. What I don’t like is when you have an objective right off the edge of the screen or an enemy and you CANT SEE IT. I’m not saying it’s not there. It obviously is. But it takes away from the immersion. And this can be fixed. And I’ll wait. You can have the rest of my money for your IAP when the screen is fully visible. I’ll be happy to raise my review score once I can see the city in the tutorial on iPhone 15. Or make the settings accessible. Please? ### 4/5 — Great game, lacking some features *2024-08-13* Overall super fun and a great adaption of advanced wars. Love it. However some noticeably missing features like limited settings and configurability, can’t turn off auto save, limited customisation. Love the WW2 theme and how some battles are replicated! ### 2/5 — Ehhhhh… *2023-04-21* It’s barely passable as a cheap Advance Wars knockoff. Game doesn’t seem to have any original mechanics not also found in AW, plus it’s missing a ton of polish like real animations for units or any game options at all. Units are very small and hard to select, the APC / troop transport trucks show a maximum move range when selected that you can’t actually MOVE to (what?) The only good thing is that it uses the Allies / Axis powers which is cool. Unfortunately there is so much else going against the game I couldn’t recommend it in good conscience. $4 down the drain! ### 2/5 — Meh *2022-05-25* Look und Idee kommen direkt vom Nintendoklassiker, aber das Herz fehlt. Die Musik geht nur ein paar Takte bevor sie sich wiederholt, eine Story ist nicht vorhanden, dass es nur zwei Fraktionen gibt, langweilt optisch und spielmechanisch und es fehlt tiefe. Das wär alles nicht soo wild, aber das zusammen mit einer wirklich dämlichen ai ist einfach enttäuschend. ### 2/5 — Poor imitation *2021-12-10* As far as this type of game goes, this one is a bummer. Most battles go like this: the enemy has way more resources than you, find the trick, spend 50 turns making it work. Most boards, all you’re doing is watching the obvious play out. That’s not to say it’s always obvious, but when it becomes obvious, it’s incredibly boring. So much marching so much just getting there. And you gain access to units that you seem never to be able to produce. So if you need to use your subs strategically, you need to use them strategically ONE SPECIFIC WAY. There’s no room for your play style. ### 3/5 — Eher nein *2021-09-27* Ich schließe mich den voherigen Kommentaren NICHT an. Ich finde nicht das dies eine gelungende Kopie von Nintendos Klassiker ist. Die Grundfunktionen sind zwar die selben, allerdings fehlen genau die Elemente die Advance Wars so toll gemacht haben. Man hätte hieraus durchaus einen Nachfolger machen können, aber es bleibt eine halbherzige billige Kopie. Die AI ist by the way eine Katastrophe. Das Spiel hatte ich ruckzuck durch. Der Entwickler hier bietet noch eine Hand voll weiterer Missionen als Axen Macht, allerdings für 3,99€ . Trop cher pour le travail des dev. ### 3/5 — Bon jeu mais.... *2020-02-25* Buggé... Il contient pas mal de missions en mode campagne, suffisamment variées. Cependant pas mal de petits soucis techniques comme le fait de pouvoir déplacer des unités déjà déplacées, le fait que les réticules des unités attaquant au contact ne disparaissent pas automatiquement si on attend patiemment la fin de l’animation de déplacement... L’IA en facile complètement nulle, ne cherchant pas à prendre vos structures où adapter légèrement ses troupes selon lez vôtre, certaines missions sont du « survol » littéralement : « Prenez des chasseurs , des avions de transport et des bombardiers. Prenez garde aux chars antiaériens et prenez villes et usines. » C’est vraiment dommage :( ### 4/5 — Good game *2019-09-05* There’s a few glitch like in editor mode when you try a map sometimes because of the complexity the AI turn never finish (sandglass always turning) I found the AI at difficult mode a little bit weak should be more intelligent. L’application n’est pas optimisée pour un iphoneXsMax, donc on me demande de déplacer mes troupes dans des zones qui me sont inaccessibles. Un « Dézoom » des maps pourrait être une alternative... quite à avoir des bords gris. Je vais donc attendre avant d’y jouer et d’acheter la fonction « édition de maps » ### 3/5 — Très bon jeu, .. MAIS... *2018-09-27* Ce jeu est très bien, tout comme Advance wars, je m’éclate bien. Mais ce qui me chagrine, c’est qu’apres une 20aine de missions je n’arrive plus à avancer dans ma campagne, il faut 2 étoiles pour débloquer la prochaine mission, et quoi que je fasse, prise du QG au plus rapide, aucune perte, ou juste une bonne bataille, après des dizaines de tentatives je suis bloqué à une étoile... j’ai tout essayé pour avoir 2 étoiles. Je pense que c’est un bug parce que sinon j’avancerai... Muchas cosas del juego, como la respuesta de unidades, el control tactil, etx estan poco pulidos. ### 4/5 — Good game, but some flaws *2018-08-17* First, I just want to point out ALL of the glitches with the Game Editor. I love how you put it in this game, but there are so many times my game glitches or crashed. Like I was creating a game, and I decided to test it, so I played and there were bridges EVERYWHERE. This is a great game, and the campaign is pretty simple but hard. (and fun) I do have a couple ideas to make it a better game: 1. More buildings, decorations, etc I think that you should add some more “War-themed” building and decorations, such as bunkers, Which could be captured but be able to shoot, and trenches, which could provide cover for anyone in them. 2. Trains I know that the Germans used a lot of trains in WW2 and WW1, so I think you should add some. My idea is that a train station should be a new building. You will be able to attach train tracks, which could work like roads, out any side. If road and train tracks meet they could pass through. When you enter the train stations menu, you can build a train. Select one, and the train will appear inside the train station. Then you can move across any tracks connected to the station. Ideas for types of trains: -Cargo Train (Light health, Works like a landing craft or transport truck) -Light Armored Train (Light Health, Light artillery attack) -Heavy Armored Train (Heavy Health, Heavy artillery attack) 3. Commanders Commanders are slightly more resilient, and deal a little more damage. Not too much else to say ### 4/5 — Excellent games, minor bugs *2018-03-22* Really enjoyable game. Almost exactly like advance wars without the characters and their abilities. I have been playing a lot of custom maps and wanted to try my hand at it. Unfortunately I can’t save anything I do because the button is in the corner of the screen. On the Iphone 13 pro max the corners are rounded and this game does NOT accommodate for it.
