It’s like the phone and TV think the content is playing at a different time. Means I can’t use playback controls E.g +10 seconds button, as it will usually launch me somewhere completely different in the episode - I’ve had the TV jump to the next episode when it didn’t finish due to above too - Seems the app struggles to mark episodes as watched. This may be another issue related to airplaying frontend masters on TV Fyi: the above happened when using the airplay button shown in the frontend masters app - next to the close captions and PIP button Would be great to have this fixed. But this one works perfectly and instantly. I download my courses while on Wifi and watch on my hour subway ride to work. It’s the most consistent I’ve been learning a new subject matter every day. Not sure why but rewatching a course for not the first time seems to exacerbate the problem. Please let us know if the issue persist. ### 5/5 — Extremely life changing resource! *2023-10-13* Front End Masters has changed my entire career and my life as a result of the intelligence, skills, and knowledge the instructors share. Teaching tech is really different than coding, and I’ve had some teachers who really struggle to explain advanced concepts, but the quality of instructors here is top notch. My phone enables me to watch, learn, review before interviews, or anywhere I am. The desktop app is what I use to practice the skills and I love the ability to read the transcription as well. Life changing education here. 💥 ### 4/5 — Bug in play and pause *2023-10-12* Hey developer, I was trying to pause the video, instead it muted the video while video was still playing. I couldn’t see the icon change on play pause. It’s just pause icon every time. I am on iPad Air M1 with latest iPadOS version. **Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback. The app and the content is amazing. However, after the update I can’t pause. On click, only the sound is muted and the video just continues playing. Unfortunately, I have noticed when playing downloaded videos on iOS 17 the pause button does not work. I cannot get the app to play videos without having the audio glitch and drop out, and lots of things like changing video speed don’t work. Super frustrating. Extremely expensive for something that functions like a hackathon project. Also I find it pretty bizarre that the UI/UX is so out dated when all of the content is about Frontend development. It looks like a forum from the 2000s. Also when I reported issues they hit me with the classic IT Croud line “try turning if off an on again” reffering to my phone, that seems like a bonkers thing to have to recommend people in 2023 when an app isn’t working. Also it of course did not help. ### 1/5 — Unable to login *2023-07-01, version 1.27.1* Website works fine but this app is broken. ### 1/5 — A very annoying bug *2023-03-23* If I come out from the app or if I lock the phone and unlock it In both the situation I am not able to play the video again no matter what I do. Now I have to restart the app then it works. You are charging a lot of money 3300INR is huge for Indians after paying this much money we are not supposed to have such experience. The solid cloud icon on the video player gives the impression that downloading all videos of the course is completed, but it is not. ### 1/5 — Terrible UX by a company that teaches UX design *2020-06-23* For an app that is dedicated to learning front end design, I find it inconceivable that the initial user experience upon first launch could be this terrible. Immediately forced into a user registration page, unable to preview courses like you can on the webpage, and the form doesn’t utilize Login with Apple, or any other SSO provider. Form fields aren’t even appropriately tagged so iOS can’t auto fill basic information like my name and email address. Password fields aren’t tagged correctly so iOS Keychain can’t auto generate and store.
