### 3/5 — Review / things to improve

*2026-08-24, version 12.11.1*

There are things that are very annoying about FL
I hate combo teacher. Art music pe is more descriptive
Often contact and location info is incorrect. No excuse for that.
School times are almost always wrong. No excuse.
Sometimes teachers are associated with previous schools. No
Excuse!
I would like to know who, if anyone reads those reviews you ask for. I have never meet a person who has.
Sub services needs help. They don’t answer questions at all.
Is there some system that keeps track of substitute problems. If so how can a substitute question this?
Your policies lack clarity.

### 3/5 — Lost Sub job

*2026-08-18, version 12.11.1*

I just lost the possibility of a Sub job because your app was so incredibly slow.

### 2/5 — Unsuccessful

*2026-08-17, version 12.11.1*

I use this app to login and out for my time card & I would like it to be more dependable.

It can’t always find the wifi in my building.

Some days it kicks me out & I have to re-login.

Today I am unable to login at all!

I’m sure it’s not an easy fix/solution but I’d be very grateful if the app were given an update for these issues.

I also deleted and reinstalled the app to try and fix the problems…

Thanks for your help…

### 3/5 — what’s going on?

*2026-08-06, version 12.10.1*

When there was a job post , I used to get notification sound but now I’m not getting any so I’m losing work because I don’t get the sound. I do get no notification but not the sound when I noticed five or 10 minutes I saw the job is not available more. What is going on?why I don’t I get the sound notification? I checked the settings and everything looks fine so why am I getting the sound notification?

### 3/5 — Unhelpful

*2026-08-05, version 12.10.1*

Several times a day it says new jobs available and they’re the same ones I’ve seen for weeks. Finally turned off notifications because they’re a useless interruption.

### 3/5 — Delays

*2026-07-28, version 12.10.1*

I love the idea that there is a platform to pick up substitute jobs, but I am constantly having a delay for the position to show on my end. For example, I get the notification, but when I open the app, it takes forever to load and by the time it loads: the position is gone. I am having a challenge picking up positions and I am constantly being logged off! This is frustrating!

### 3/5 — Don't get the best jobs

*2026-05-27, version 12.9.2*

For some reason I'm not able to get the jobs that I see other subs get. I don't know why. Often if I even get a decent one on which to click somebody's already taken it

### 2/5 — Logs me out frequently

*2026-04-26, version 12.8.1*

I have never had an app that logs me out like Frontline does. It’s very frustrating! Can someone please fix this? I will even get a notification for a job and then when I open the app, I’m logged out, likely causing me to miss a job!!! Jobs go quickly so being able to open the app and be logged in already is crucial. Also, can I please recommend being able to save your log in and password? It takes so much time to type in a lengthy school email and password. You guys could fix so many things to improve this app.

### 1/5 — Sllllow

*2026-04-23, version 12.8.1*

This app is slow in updating substitution assignments and slow to load them.

### 1/5 — Horrible App

*2026-04-22, version 12.8.1*

They pass the buck to school districts. I have been going around and around with them for at least a week. Terrible terrible app.

### 2/5 — Slow

*2026-04-21, version 12.8.1*

The app is convenient but when I immediately open the app at the notification to see the job it’s already taken. Unfair disadvantage.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Faulty app

*2026-08-25, version 12.11.1*

This app does not display notifications properly. They should consider reaching out to Sub Alert to find out how to make notifications appear as the job does. 90% of the time no job is there even when I have the app open waiting. It is very frustrating for a substitute teacher who relies on this for a livelihood. Would love to see it improved, but would rather the districts returned to the phone call model. Worked much better than this.

### 1/5 — Seldom works

*2026-08-19, version 12.11.1*

I don’t know how anybody could be getting onto the app faster than I am. It must notify some people sooner than others. I am seldom ever able to sign up for a job before somebody else does.

### 1/5 — Incredibly slow

*2026-08-17, version 12.11.1*

App is slow to load and refresh and by the time it actually works right the job is usually gone.

### 1/5 — HORRIBLE!!!

*2026-08-17, version 12.11.1*

This app doesn’t even deserve one star!

From day one, the lag in job notifications has caused me to miss dozens and dozens of substitute jobs every semester. It got so bad that I started using SubAlert, a third-party app that could pull jobs from Frontline and alert users within seconds of the district posting them. We’re talking up to 10 minutes faster than Frontline’s own notifications!

Apparently, Frontline didn’t like that, because they eventually blocked third-party apps from accessing the jobs posted by districts. I hoped that meant Frontline would improve its own notification system, but unfortunately, it has only gotten worse.

It’s incredibly frustrating to miss job opportunities simply because the app is so slow. I wish my district would move away from Frontline and use a system that can actually get the job done—literally!

### 1/5 — Inconsistent, Infuriating Performance

*2026-08-07, version 12.11.1*

Logs me out randomly and sound notifications are either followed by a delay before showing the available job or a job never even appears! Subalert is far superior and now that their contract is ending I hope Frontline can get it together because I don't want my income effected by their inability to fix these issues. It seems they have too much on their plate and Subalert was the solution. Now what?

### 1/5 — Performance issues constantly

*2026-07-01, version 12.9.2*

Slow loading.Freezes.Ghost alerts.Logs users out randomly, jobs are gone by the time you log back in,sometimes even makes you re-enter your credentials!

Terrible.DO BETTER FRONTLINE!

### 1/5 — Worst App EVER !!

*2026-06-30, version 12.9.2*

For almost 2 years, this app has FAILED to send me SOUND NOTIFICATIONS. I have lost money and jobs because of it. When I contacted customer support numerous times two years they failed rectify the situation. I have even threatened against them because their app is causing me to lose money assignments, and a piece of mind!!

### 1/5 — Slow and rejecting fixes

*2026-06-30, version 12.9.2*

I’ve used this for three years now and instead of fixing the problems they have, they ban third party assistance services like Subalert that strive to provide solutions. I don’t know whether it’s pride or pure laziness, but if it wasn’t given a monopoly over the jobs in my district, I’d use anything else.

### 1/5 — App is glitchy and inconsistent

*2026-05-05, version 12.8.1*

This app works for a while then it doesn’t. My biggest problem is that the audio alerts for jobs does not work. It does for a little while then it goes away then you have to reload the app and then it works for a while then it goes away, etc. etc..

### 1/5 — ZERO stars

*2026-04-29, version 12.8.1*

App is 100% unreliable, flawed, and archaic. Not even deserving of 1 star.

### 5/5 — Good service

*2026-05-15, version 12.9.2*

They called me to assign a job and continue it. This is good service

### 5/5 — Easy

*2026-05-09, version 12.9.1*

The application is so easy to use

### 5/5 — Quickly identify

*2026-05-05, version 12.9.1*

Access to accept or cancel with the strike of a finger!

### 5/5 — Flexible work where and when you choose

*2026-04-16, version 12.8.1*

I enjoy choosing where and when I work. The Frontline App allows me the flexibility to accept or decline a job based on my schedule for the week. I can take days or months off for travel by scheduling non-work days for an indefinite period and then resume work when I return. I prefer partial days so that I can go to workout in the mornings or socialize with friends. It’s a win, win situation for my schedule.
