## What is Frost Alert?

Frost Alert is a focused frost-risk app for growers, gardeners, orchardists, vineyard owners, nurseries, and lifestyle block owners.

Instead of acting like a full weather dashboard, Frost Alert answers one practical question: could frost threaten your growing location tonight or over the next few mornings?

Add one or more growing locations, choose the sensitivity of your plants or crops, and see a clear frost risk status:

Safe
Watch
Frost likely
Severe frost risk

For each location, Frost Alert shows the expected overnight low, the forecast frost period when one is available, a three-night outlook, and practical actions such as covering sensitive plants, moving pots inside, checking frost cloth, or protecting seedlings.

Frost Alert can also schedule local evening and morning notifications from the latest refreshed forecast, helping you act before the coldest part of the night.

Forecast temperatures and frost risk levels are now clearer and more accurate. Frost Alert uses forecast air temperature—not the human “feels like” value—when assessing plant risk. New info buttons explain why ground frost can still occur above 0°C. Severe frost considers both how far and how long temperatures fall below your plant threshold, while Safe nights keep the dashboard cleaner.
