## What is Frost?

Frost kills overnight. We warn you the evening before.

Set your place once. Every evening Frost checks the night ahead, and if the forecast dips toward frost you get one calm notification around 6 pm — in time to bring potted plants inside, throw frost cloth or an old sheet over anything tender, or clear the windshield before morning.

- One notification, not a feed — the evening before, while there is still time to do something about it. Nothing else.
- Frost above freezing, freeze at or below it — on a clear, calm night frost forms while the air is still above freezing. That is why the app warns before the forecast reaches freezing, and why it says "patchy frost possible" instead of pretending nothing is happening.
- Honest about risk — we say why ("clear and calm — frost forms easily"), not just a number.
- Severity at a glance — * frost likely, ** freeze. Readable on a lock screen at night without your glasses.
- More than one place — the garden, the raised beds, the community plot. Each with its own threshold.
- The nights ahead — the coming nights at a glance, so a late spring frost never catches the tomatoes and basil out.
- Fahrenheit, the way you read weather — degrees in °F from the first launch, with °C a single switch away.
- Reliability you can see — a "last checked" indicator, always.
- Private — your locations never leave the device. No account, ever.
- Quiet out of season — through the summer, when frost cannot happen where you are, the app says so and stops bothering you.

Frost is an estimate from a forecast, not a government product — cross-check anything that matters. Free with a single small banner. One small purchase removes it forever. No subscriptions. No plant database to feed. One job, done properly.
