Connection to the device through home WiFi is so much better. In any case, it typically works very well for me and connects quickly. It did not when I first got it and I would have given this app 1 or 2 stars. I really like the device. I’m using it outside hitting into a net so can’t speak to indoor use. It takes up some room and I feel like it’s very good for backyard or driveway. I leave my mat and net set up at all times and a tripod to hold my iPad and have my (secondary purchase) leveling base sitting in the correct location too. So setup isn’t anything—I just turn it on, put the iPad in place, and when the blue connection light comes on I’m good to go. I usually turn my device on inside and by the time I’ve walked to the mat it’s often connected. I do wish they’d add a few different ranges to the FS Golf app—a chipping range or at least a green and you could adjust distance or whether you’re in a bunker. Or even green slope and you could chip to drop zones and watch it roll to hole. ### 3/5 — Used to be better *2026-02-25* I am unable to look back at any of my previous sessions with review session on my Mevo gen 2 in the app. The page is completely frozen and I can’t manipulate anything within it. This didn’t used to be a problem so I don’t know what is going on but I hope it gets fixed soon, because i love the product when it works. ### 2/5 — Unfortunately buggy *2026-02-22, version 9.5.0* When this app is working it is great. However I constantly have issues with connectivity and missed shots. I recently changed my password and had to delete the app in order to sign back in losing all of my data. It has all the main features you’d want. However it needs more guidance on optimal set up to get accurate results, and connectivity issues need ironing out. Useful and insanely insightful. What the app needs are a full revamp - maybe a new app with modern ux and cleaner look. This app looks good if its 2015. The app doesn’t do the company justice. You need an app and ux that fully showcase the capabilities and looking polished in every way. I hope there are works on the way. Competitor’s app are more modern, smooth and fully optimised for modern devices. Please - this needs attention. ### 1/5 — App won’t open… *2025-05-07, version 9.1.0* Just spins and spins. ### 4/5 — Pretty strong *2025-04-23* The unit works consistently indoors but has some glitches outdoors. Even with a full charge, it tends to shutdown at the range so I started plugging in a battery back up that seems to solve the problem. If I had to do it all over again, I would have purchased separate units for indoor outdoor. There’s no doubt this has helped me understand my game and lower my handicap. One final note, I rarely play rounds on the simulator so could have gone with another version ### 2/5 — No audio on videos *2025-04-04* App is feature rich and has lots of potential but it WILL NOT record audio on an iPhone. It asks to use the microphone but it won’t actually use it. The only time it requests access to the microphone is when you select the slow mo rear camera but once again it will it record any audio no matter which camera you use to take videos. This needs to be fixed. ### 1/5 — Crashes All the time *2025-04-04, version 9.1.0* Can’t create an account because it crashes every time I try. Based on the app reviews, looks like it’s been an issue for years. I’ve had connection problems, device crashing problems, data-reading failures, and other intermittent problems. Steer clear until Flightscope gets it together. I really thought we were past the point where companies didn't invest in their apps. It's not often you run into an app on the App Store that works so poorly. You would think that if a company asks you to spend so much money on a product, the least they could do is ensure the application that supports the product works well All I want to do is go into my yard and practice some golf, but this little device won't connect to my Wi-Fi. The app keeps crashing. ### 1/5 — Horrible SW!!! *2026-05-23* The latest Mevo 2 feels like a product that should still be labeled as “beta.” The hardware may be capable, but the software is lacking. Using it outdoors is frustrating, setup takes around 5 minutes every session, and yardages seem overly generous even when following all recommended parameters. The unit also disconnects during longer sessions, and I’ve had repeated issues with both the iPhone and iPad apps. With no meaningful updates in months, the overall experience feels unfinished. I got about thirty shots into my first session before it froze, i restarted it and it crashed, then froze again, then i gave up and left the range because fighting with your phone isn’t conducive to a good range session. I’m upset that I paid over $1300 on a piece of hardware and it doesn’t even seem like they spent as much developing the software to use it. The Mevo+ works great through GSPro connected to my Lenovo laptop, but the Flightscope app for iPad is horrendous. Worthless ### 1/5 — Terrible crashing and required internet - Mevo + *2025-05-11* The app ALWAYS requires an internet connection to use, or else it freezes badly and crashes constantly. I live in an area where there is no cellular service, my WiFi in home is the only source of connection/internet. Since the Mevo+ requires WiFi to connect to my devices(iPhone/iPad) the apps freezes and it USELESS. If there was a way to just use basic features(full swing mode) withought requiring internet connection than this app would be great. It deserves less than one star. I really like it. It is very helpful to pinpoint my swing issue。 I do have some wish list items: If I can configure the setting I used very often, that will be great. For example. I always use top view with data margin turn on. If I can save my preference. Then I don not need to set them every time. I also want to show more parameter and still stay in top view, if I can adjust font size smaller to have more parameters, I will be very happy. Anyway , I like the product. Able to hit the range, play target games, and rounds of golf in my garage. You get accurate feed back on distances and ball spin. 16 data perimeters and three apps out of the box, with endless possibilities in upgraded software. ### 5/5 — The app works great *2023-06-07* A lot of reviews saying it crashes but mine has yet to crash ever after 2 weeks of using Mevo+ pro 2023. The app is super in depth way more than I expected with the amount of ways to look at your data. Drains battery on my iPhone 11 somewhat fast but it’s to be expected since It’s always on and I’m also using AirPods. I assume the poor reviews are from mevo owners who expect X3 performance. I rarely use my phone for this but I’ve had the same experience on both. Only complaint I have is not being able to have a double vertical row of stats and making it easier to swap views. i.e. to the club data (D Plane) from the range. Also I have noticed the voice will come and go announcing the yardage and it would be nice to be able to select what stat or stats it announces. ### 5/5 — Support will there be a par 3 course added in the future? *2022-08-16* Great piece of work.
