I had an error installing the server on my PC which was fixed by installing C++ redistributable from Microsoft website. The developer helped me with this fix super quickly. ### 5/5 — Simply outstanding! *2020-12-29, version 1.1.0* New install this morning. After a couple of hours I have decided to write this review. I am running this app on my iPad so I can see where I am at in Flight Simulator 2020 and all I can say is that so far it has been simply outstanding. I ran my Malwarebytes on my PC after installing and it found no security issues. Windows Defender didn’t want to run it but I pushed through anyway per the instructions. The app runs very well and the maps look great, tracking my aircraft flawlessly. I am still getting used to the user interface of the app but it really is simplicity at it’s finest. I like that it doesn’t seem to install itself into the game itself. There are some tweaks the developer could make to the controls in my opinion but so far I am very happy with this. To the developer: Keep up the great work! ### 5/5 — Great Flight Sim tool *2020-12-06, version 1.1.0* This is a great app to let you know where your aircraft is in the world. Not being able to fully zoom out of the VFR map, this app helps a lot to get the position of my aircraft. ### 5/5 — Just what FS needs *2020-11-22, version 1.1.0* A great mapping tool for FS that’s easy to set up. For those having problems, make sure the PC tool has connected to FS, the icon in the system tray should be green. Also make sure the phone app is connecting to the correct IP address. One suggestion for the app is separate zoom buttons. It’s easy enough to pinch to zoom but it turns off the aircraft tracking. ### 5/5 — Brilliant & Useful Tool *2020-11-18, version 1.1.0* I’ve tried two or three similar maps for the new Microsoft Flight Sim. This one is so easy to use & simple to setup. It runs faultlessly on my old iPad & now you can even add waypoints. It’s brilliant! Probably the best I’ve seen. It flips to portrait mode randomly. The + and - keys seem to just relocate the view to a random more often than not. They work sometimes, but the zoom zooms off, then returns and barely zooms in or out. I anticipate that the developer, like many others, will duck out of any tech support because I’m on an ipad. ### 3/5 — Gut, aber nicht wie erwartet *2023-05-29, version 1.3.1* Die Ansicht ist gut und die Installation unkompliziert. Ich hatte allerdings erwartet, dass die Wegpunkte aus dem MSFS auf der Karte angezeigt werden. Das wäre vor allem für Wildnisflüge praktisch. Deswegen hatte ich mir die App eigl gekauft. Geht nun nicht. Sehr schade. Paar Verbesserungsvorschläge: - Zoom hakt manchmal oder reagiert zäh - Wäre schön, wenn der Server automatisch mit dem MSFS starten würde (wie bei FS Realistic) - Heading stimmt teilweise nicht ganz mit der Anzeige im Flugzeug überein - wie gesagt: Die Wegpunkte/Flugroute aus dem Simulator wäre echt klasse. - Eventuell eine Suchfunktion wie bei Google Maps, sodass man nach POIs oder Straßen oder Städten suchen kann (die im Text der Wildnisflüge genannt werden) ### 3/5 — Idk *2020-12-26, version 1.1.0* I don’t know why it doesn’t work ### 4/5 — Great app with one missing feature *2023-04-09, version 1.3.1* I love this app - it is the first only properly functioning and easy to setup for use on iOS. However I am missing the feature of seeing my flight path line on the map which would be expected for a payware app. Would highly appreciate if this comes with a future update. Cheers and keep up the good work! ### 4/5 — Tolles Tool mit Potential *2021-09-11, version 1.3.1* Die Anbindung an den MSFS2020 funktioniert auf Anhieb und problemlos. Die Kartenanzeige ist übersichtlich und funktional. Die Waypunkte Funktion ist gelungen. Was toll als Ergänzung wäre: 1. einlesen von FS Flugplänen und Anzeige in der Karte 2. Layout umschaltbar um optisch ein MFD zu simulieren 3. Aufzeichnung der geflogenen Route in der Karte mit anderer Farbe als Waypoints oder Flugpläne. Mach weiter so die App hat echt Potenzial 👍🏻 ### 4/5 — Works as intended *2021-07-18, version 1.3.0* Needs an exception written into MS firewall or it cannot communicate. Also comes up as malware, something the author recognises and denies. Prob doesn’t want to pay for MS verification which I can understand. It has also just received an update, this shows the dev has an ongoing interest. I use this for 90% of my flights in MSFS. So money well spent in my case. 4 stars is for lack of MS verification. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Works nicely, a few bugs *2023-11-10* I’m using this with MSFS2020. Working fine. Zoom ‘in’ is a “-“ and zoom ‘out’ is a “+”, which is backwards. Plus usually means more zoom in. Minor nuance. Landscape mode only works if after connected and you go to the map, you exit the app, turn your iPad to landscape, then start the app up again. But it eventually works. Zoom out “+” sometimes zoom all the out to maximum but I have not found a pattern yet. It would be nice to have 1) a search facility to find a location and 2) clear all waypoints. Nice app, though and thanks for doing this. Would be nice if: When you enter the IP address, the check button to enter it is hidden by the keyboard, would be great if you could just hit enter or if it automatically took it. The IP address . Periods/dots don’t automatically get put in as they do in almost all networking entry forms, would be nice but no big deal. Die App bindet den aktuellen Standort (Flugort :-) in MS FS an die Google Maps an, so dass man immer sehen kann, ob das überflogene Tal das Ahrtal oder der gezeigte See wirklich der Möhnesee ist… Man kann also dann seine Navigationskünste im VFR mit der Karte vergleichen und die FS Map besser lesen.
