### 5/5 — Excellent resource!

*2019-04-30, version 1.6.4*

As a CNC programmer, I use this app/pc software on a almost daily basis, with a wide range of tools and materials. A great machinist resource!

### 5/5 — Easily the best app for Machinists

*2019-01-21, version 1.508*

Best app for machinists, period... use it every single day.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2018-09-08, version 1.508*

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-08-29, version 1.508*

Works great for fast calculations on the shop floor. More accurate than my trig skills.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2016-03-10, version 1.43*

Clean interface and useful functions

### 5/5 — Great App! Use on a Daily Basis for Hobbyist Machining on a Tormach

*2015-03-16, version 1.40*

This is a great app I use on almost a daily basis as a hobbyist machinist. Great apps are updated often to fix issues and have a free version to test out before purchasing the full version. This app has both and has exceeded my expectations.

As a new hobbyist machinist, I do not have years of experience to draw upon or immediate access to experienced machinist for feeds and speeds. This app takes the guesswork out and allows me to immediate pick feeds and speeds that will, in general work on the first try, for my Tormach CNC mill.

Savings up a bit before I buy the full version, the trial is enough to get me started, although I hope to upgrade soon. Will leave a follow review to the full version if I do upgrade.

### 5/5 — great reference app

*2014-11-07, version 1.37*

handy for quick reference of drill bit sizes/taps/etc. simple and straightforward

### 5/5 — Cool

*2014-05-14, version 1.27*

I'm working on my CNC machine. Great app!

### 5/5 — Very usefull

*2014-02-22, version 1.24*

Vet well thought out useful app.

### 5/5 — Excellent!

*2014-02-14, version 1.21*

Very helpful app, much appreciated.

### 5/5 — The best workshop app I have found

*2013-12-05, version 1.21*

This is by far the best app I have found for workshop use. I have been using the fswizard website for a while now and this is great for being away from the computer. The only thing that let's it down is not having the full materials list like on the web and also I personally would like to be able to change the settings to be metric as standard. But hopefully that will come in a later version.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 2/5 — Manque un petit quelque chose

*2020-03-31, version 1.7.0*

On peut rentrer les valeurs en mm mais les résultats sont en inch.
Un peu fastidieux.
A essayer en vrai.

### 2/5 — вопрос

*2019-12-10, version 1.7.0*

когда будет на русском?

### 3/5 — Good but error for speed

*2020-06-07, version 1.8.1*

My understanding is that speed is RPM * pi * tool diameter

When going from inches to feet, add a / q 12

For 24k rpm, 1/8 inch, tool return 170 feet/min
Correct answer is 780

Fusion agrees with the 780 number

Please fix

### 3/5 — .

*2018-06-04, version 1.508*

После обновы перестал адекватно работать калькулятор треугольника, что очень расстраивает) Ещё неплохо было бы накатить русский язык, удобства ради.

### 3/5 — Handy, but

*2017-02-05*

This app is handy, but the feeds and speeds don't match those on their website or hsmadvisor. So it doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the numbers.

### 4/5 — So far, so good.

*2021-07-12, version 1.9.0*

I have just started to “thumb” through this app., and what I have looked at in detail, gives me confidence in your organization, and it’s people.
This is layer out in an orderly fashion. After a bit more use, an upgrade to the pro level will be likely. Thank you all, again.

### 4/5 — Almost great

*2020-05-24, version 1.7.9*

A new feature is center drill depth very nice but .......... center drills come in both 90 and 60 degree included angles. With no reference on the drawing we do not know with which we are dealing. Maybe you can add the nomenclature or note in a upcoming revision. And hint, hint have the feature to compute either in a further revision. Also you might reference the point length and angle. As you know by your advertised ‘tonns’ of experience - it is the little things in machining that are the biggest help! But overall a nice go to app and thank you!

### 4/5 — Machinist’s friend

*2019-01-27, version 1.508*

The most useful information in this app are the feed rates associated with the materials in the material library. I wish the GD&T section was more developed but I do appreciate what is available, since it is a free app. Thank you FSWizard!

### 4/5 — Very good.

*2018-11-28, version 1.508*

This app is actually almost perfect.
As a hobby machinist I use the feeds and speeds mostly but the reference section is also really useful.
Suggestions. Please add BA specs to the threads. And I would prefer an optional, shorter, simplified materials list, even if that requires using slower feeds/speeds.

### 5/5 — Лучшие!!!

*2025-04-26, version 2.3.6*

Просто приложение гениев

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2023-06-02, version 2.3.1*

I use it almost everyday, comes in super useful for unfamiliar material and great for working out overrides. Been using it for 3+ years and honestly couldn’t be happier, spot on 👌🏻

### 5/5 — Best Money Youll Ever Spend In Machining

*2023-02-15, version 2.2.5*

Been using the product for probably close to a decade and I still use it. Immediate ROI. Best money ive ever spent on a tool for machining hands down.

### 5/5 — So useful

*2023-02-07, version 2.2.5*

Unreal good, everything I need and more for a manual lathe and mill with a simple to follow ui.

### 5/5 — Language

*2022-01-14, version 2.0.9*

Bonjour, peut-on changer la langue des paramètres pour les personnes qui ne maîtrisent pas l’anglais ?….très cordialement

### 5/5 — Customer service is top notch, app is amazing as well.

*2021-06-26, version 1.8.1*

Bought pro on my Android device, have used it for the last year +. Definitely an amazing starting place for feeds and speeds. I like it cause I’m always dealing with random materials, and the library is quite large. I don’t use anything besides the feeds and speeds, and of all the similar apps I’ve tried, this stands out as getting the feeds right the first time.

Switched to IOS and was having an issue getting the pro version downloaded, shot support an email, and within a day I was taken care of.

Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — This and HSMAdvisor are great

*2021-01-26, version 1.8.1*

I bought the HSMAdvisor program (it’s their full desktop program) and they give you the Pro version of this app for free. They both work great. The desktop program is the best I’ve tried for feeds and speeds and having the Pro version of FSWizard for nice for quick reference. I definitely recommend it

### 5/5 — I like it 👍

*2020-09-04, version 1.8.1*

Works a treat on my Hurco

### 5/5 — Вещь хорошая

*2020-01-23, version 1.7.0*

Вот бы ещё марочник прикрутить, чтобы не вспоминать, сколько там HB у 40Х или ХВГ. Можно в Про версии. А, да, tool material ещё бывает CBN. Особенно в токарке

### 5/5 — Excellent app!

*2019-05-30, version 1.6.9*

Like the expanded material list. Even though free materials are enough for me, will buy PRO just to support the developer.

After the last update it is even better than before! Scientific calc now works perfectly.
