### 2/5 — Pretty freaking awesome

*2023-07-17*

This app is amazing. It's not complicated, it's not super fancy and distracting, and I like that there's no ridiculous summary graphs on it. I feel like those are just a waste of space, and I never refer to them anyway. The ads are bearable bc it's only a little banner at the bottom and you forget they're there. There are no pop-up ads. It does the calculations for you automatically, and it sums up your total income, your total expenses, how much you've paid so far, and what you have left over at the end of every month. It's awesome. The only thing I wish they'd add to it is another person option. My husband and I keep our money and bills separate, and it would be nice to be able to switch over to his finances and see how we're doing. Other than that, I HIGHLY recommend it.

Unfortunately I had to lower the stars. This app used to be great. But it is bugging out so badly now. The names of expenses/income keep going blank. Bars are appearing in random spots as I scroll. The total expenses/income at the bottom keeps disappearing and reappearing. And then I get asked to upgrade. NO lol fix your free version first 🤦‍♀️

### 5/5 — Love the simplicity.

*2023-05-11*

I have tried at least two other budget apps and they both gave me and my spouse headaches. They were just too complicated and involved too many steps to manually update my budget. Fudget is much simpler. My only gripes are that I wish I could mark part of a budget item as paid (like if I only spent $100 on a $400 grocery budget) and I wish there were more colours but I don’t think those are big enough complaints to warrant the loss of a star.

The only downside is that my spouse has updated to the latest version of iOS and so her balance bar has disappeared. Mine is still there because I’m on a lower version and not planning on updating anytime soon because of that.

We emailed them about the issue and they responded back saying that the app can’t be updated without deleting everyone’s data and that they’re working on Fudget 2. I hope that’s soon because I really like Fudget 1.

### 5/5 — Want to love it…

*2023-04-06*

After seeing the five star reviews, I did not hesitate to download this app. It is easy enough to get started with and most importantly there is no account setup requirement and I don’t have to sync to my bank account. I also like there is no subscription and the one time purchase price is good. These are the features I love. The problem I am having, is trying to swipe left to edit the budget name is really wonky. It doesn’t consistently respond when trying to swipe on a budget to change the name or to access the delete option. This is frustrating and ruins an otherwise hopeful budget app. I would easily give it five stars and purchase the pro version were it not for this concern. Maybe it will get fixed.

Update: The problems stated above have been fixed. It is a worthy app! So far best I have discovered. It would be nice to have a feature to separate out savings or other types of funds (like emergency fund or new dress fund) from the running balance. This would make it easier to compare balance in Fudget to my actual checking account without having to subtract. But this is not a deal breaker, but would easily take it to the next level.

### 5/5 — Cannot Recommend App Enough

*2023-02-16*

I’ve been looking all over for a good, simple budgeting app. All of the ones we have nowadays are extremely complicated, and often do not allow you to keep track of more than one budget. I actually did find one I liked a couple of years ago, but because it had such little traffic the developers had to wrap it up and take it down. I really hope that doesn’t happen with this one! I’m in my early 20s, and doing my best to develop good spending habits.

This app is straightforward, effective, and easy to understand. I love that I can set up multiple budgets to keep my eye on without having to pay a bunch of subscriptions. In fact, once I save up a little bit of money, I plan to buy the one time payment for the full app experience (the payment is definitely not a lot! It’s less than $10. I’m just a very broke 20 year old haha)! That’s how pleased I am with this app!! I hope more people will be able to find this app and also support the developer :)

### 5/5 — I love this ~ a lot

*2022-09-23, version 1.9.2*

Multiple budgets with a running total let’s you drag and drop items and see how it affects your budget & if there’s enough to cover what’s due and when it’s able to be paid. Also use it it to track current balance due on monthly payment accounts without having to log into the account to see where you stand. Tried a lot of budgeting apps that were more trouble to use than functional. This does everything you need without over complicating things with potentials, maybes, suggestions, pointless charts. Everything in this is designed for simplicity and accuracy.
It also makes a useful basic checking account register.

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for!!

*2022-09-14, version 1.9.2*

I just installed this app and purchased the Pro upgrade. After using a few other apps that missed the mark with too many features and complicated processes, this app does exactly what I do with my personal budget spreadsheets. The only features I immediately thought would be helpful would be a setting for an expense's and/or income's due date and/or reminder. But for now I can keep my personal calendar settings for that. Otherwise, great app!!!

Update: Now after having used this app for years, I would like to see a feature that would allow me to sort the list of budgets created. I have so many that I now have to scroll down very far to get to the most recent budgets. I keep everything and now am resorting to the backups that are not fun to do.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2022-08-04, version 1.9.2*

Absolutely my go to-app to plan out all of my expenses. I love everything about it. First of all, I love that it doesnt request any accesses to your bank accounts and credit cards. You give it data you want. You can also opt not to share or save the data with anything/anyone/anywhere outside of the app. Love that, too. Secondly, it’s just so user friendly. It’s got all the numbers at your fingertips (like how much you spent so far, how much you have left, etc.). I have multiple “budgets” going… like my base monthly budget, monthly “fun” money budget, travel budget, etc. I love it. Like for example, I budgeted $320 for my hair appointment this month and I spent “only” $285. I never used to track expenses like that, but since I started using the app I actually started being cautious about my “under budget” money and now transfer it immediately to my savings, and then invest.

The only suggestion I have is that it would be nice to have the ability to copy/paste a budget. As I mentioned, I keep a base monthly budget with all my monthly bills and anticipated monthly expenses and I usually re-enter the same expenses for each month that I wish I could just copy and paste.

### 3/5 — I just started using the free version today

*2022-04-10, version 1.9.2*

So granted I don’t have a lot of experience with it. No budgeting app I’ve tried so far really does what I need it to do but this one seems to give me enough to work with, that I can work it by doing a lot of stuff manually.
My main complaint about these apps is they don’t give you anyway to include expenses charged to a credit card. I wound up making a second budget for my credit card and Jerry-rigged it so I can use the pie charts from my bank account budget and credit card budget to see what I’m actually spending and where, by manually adding the categories. Tedious, but hey… better than nothing. I don’t need to share my data across different devices and I can sort the categories with the pie chart so I don’t really need the features you charge for. If you figure out a way I can combine the expenses from my two budgets without screwing up my balances I’d pay you for that. And give you another star. Also, line graphs of my different categories of expenses over time would be awesome. Like which months am I spending more on the horses, on my supplements, on my truck, etc etc That’s worth another star for sure!!
But thanks! Best, most user-friendly effort I’ve tried so far. 😎👍

### 4/5 — Simple, easy, and gets the job done!

*2021-06-27, version 1.9.2*

This app is very easy and straight forward to use. It is pretty basic, which is not a bad thing—makes it simple enough that anyone can use it. I’ve had other budget apps that are overly complicated and too difficult to edit and use, but this one is exactly opposite. It does not connect to your banks and credit card accounts to track your expenses, so if you’re looking for that feature, its not here, but I actually like that it doesn’t. Its basically a simple spreadsheet that is so easy to edit and write my budget down, and export data to and from if I wanted to. One feature that I wish it had but it doesn’t, is a debt tracker for credit cards and loans, and perhaps a tracker for assets such as investments and real estate which would be helpful for tracking net worth. For this reason alone, I only give four instead of five stars. I supposed you could roughly track this at a snapshot basis by creating another “budget” and list your assets as “income” and your debts as “expenses”—so that the calculation at the bottom of the screen will represent your net worth at any given time—though you will have to manually update this each moment you want to see where you are at with things. It wouldn’t be very useful for creating a smart plan for repaying debts or account for interest accrued or anything fancy like that. Overall, I like this app a lot for its simplicity and ease of use. Well done!

### 5/5 — Elegant and simple

*2021-06-03, version 1.9.2*

This app has a very user-friendly interface, tutorial, tools, and functionality. If takes moments to learn and setup. Useful additional features at a one time, low, price. It's not overly complex, unless you want that level of detail (I do not). You are able to easily setup, create, name, edit, and delete any item/record and track what you wish without trying to fit things into prenamed items or categories.

So far it's been the only budget app I've found that let's me create a basic budget, an overview of income vs living expenses like bills. And does the math. I don't want to track transactions and itemized spending - I have an app that does that from my accounts. It's not useful.
