He responded immediately that this is not available, but he suggested emojis at the beginning of specific entries. Just trying to figure out how to do that because it would be perfect for separating types of entries. But he was so quick to respond and I'm grateful because this is the best budget app I've used - having tried many! This shows me what my ongoing balance should be weeks in advance - months as well if my spending habits remain the same. It is a necessary daily tool for me to stay on track with my spending and saving goals. I have not found another app that adapts as well to the way my brain works. It is simple but flexible, with space to get creative and evolve with the ever changing needs of a budget. I have gotten so many of my friends to use this app. At this point they all think I have a weird relationship with it. It included the features of income and expense etc and it meant I didn’t have to go on a subscription. Unfortunately it’s forcefully updated and I now have to pay for the features I already had access to before. Disappointed with this result. Felt like a slap in the face to have a “25% off discount code” on the subscriptions when the whole purpose I got this app was for a one time purchase. ### 1/5 — They switched to Subscription model *2026-05-30, version 2.0.25* I was an early supporter of the ORIGINAL app, was an awesome tool to use for a ONE TIME PURCHASE. But greed conquers all with the ‘subscription model’ for literally every app, even a budgeting app. Pathetic. Fudget Classic was the simplest, no non-sense budgeting app I found after trying many others. I was surprised that Fudget 2 is no longer free. I thought about creating an Excel file instead, but I would rather pay for the convenience and spend my time on other things. It is quick and easy, and I always know where things stand with my finances. I recently transitioned to Fudget 2, and it is even better. I love that you can choose to automatically move your ending balance from one month to the next, and re-sort your budgets.
