## What is FuelAware?

Your totalizer knows how much fuel you've burned. It has no idea which tank it came from — or what it cost you. FuelAware does.

FuelAware is an in-flight fuel management assistant for general aviation pilots flying multi-tank aircraft. Enter your totalizer reading at each tank swap and FuelAware handles the per-tank accounting in flight — then converts every leg into hard data: real cross-country burn rates, true cost per leg, and trip-level analysis your kneeboard math could never keep up with.

TRACK EVERY TANK

Live animated fuel gauges deplete in real time as you fly
Log swaps and checkpoints with a single totalizer entry
Swap countdown with two modes: balanced swaps or run-to-planned-empty
Configurable safety reserve with escalating low-fuel warnings

NEVER MISS A SWAP

Live Activity puts your swap timer, leg time, current tank, and GPH on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island — no unlocking mid-flight
Five escalating alerts before each swap, plus overrun warnings
Crash recovery: if your phone dies mid-leg, resume right where you left off

KNOW YOUR REAL NUMBERS

Three GPH views at a glance: current segment, leg average, and burn-cycle average — your true cross-country burn rate across every leg between refuels
Pilot-observed GPH entries refine swap and endurance predictions piecewise
Multi-leg burn cycles tracked automatically: fly three legs without refueling and FuelAware treats them as one continuous data set

KNOW WHAT EVERY LEG COSTS

Every gallon burned is priced at what you actually paid for it — newest fuel first, older fuel at its blended price
Per-leg burn cost locks in at shutdown; FBO fees, parking, and misc charges tracked per stop
Combine legs into trips: total burn, engine time, average GPH, and effective cost per gallon roll up automatically — even across nested multi-day master trips
Receipt reconciliation: compare tracked burn against what the pump put in, color-coded variance per stop

YOUR AIRCRAFT, MODELED RIGHT

25+ templates verified against POH and FAA type certificate data: Cessna 172/182/210, Piper Cherokee through Saratoga and Comanche, Beechcraft Bonanza line, Mooney M20C/J/R
Filler-neck tab support — TOP OFF, TAB FILL, or custom per-tank quantities
Build any aircraft: up to 6 tanks, AVGAS or Jet-A
Fly multiple aircraft, each with its own saved fuel state and price history

LOG IT, PROVE IT, SHARE IT

Professional PDF reports per leg or trip — cost analysis, burn cycles, full swap logs
AirDrop your complete dataset between devices — smart merge, no cloud required

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts. No servers. No analytics. Your flight data lives on your device, period.

FuelAware was built and flight-tested by a pilot in a 4-tank Cherokee Six because the fuel-selector-timer-and-sticky-note system deserved to be retired.

IMPORTANT: FuelAware is a situational-awareness aid. It is not a substitute for preflight fuel planning, your fuel totalizer, fuel gauges, visual tank checks, or POH procedures. Always verify fuel quantity before flight and manage fuel per your POH.

FuelAware requires an auto-renewable subscription to use — $8.99/month or $79.99/year, each with a 7-day free trial. All features require an active subscription.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-07-25

NEW
• Leg routes: tag each leg with departure and arrival airports (e.g. KRAC → KUNU). Routes appear on leg cards, trip details, and exported reports, and automatically name single-leg trips.
• Zulu time: display all times in Zulu (UTC) or device time — set it once in Flight Configuration. PDF exports carry their own independent time setting.
• Smarter fuel costs: the cost form auto-fills price per gallon from the last price you recorded at that airport, and fuel stops inherit their location from your route. Legs that ended before you entered the receipt are now priced automatically once you add it.
• Redesigned trip reports: clearer cost analysis with weighted-average fuel price and burn-based trip cost, a chronological flight log with FUEL ADDED entries between legs, and a per-leg swap log appendix.
• iPad: trip and leg details open full screen, START/END fuel gauges sit side by side, and text layouts no longer stretch edge to edge. Works great windowed or in Split View next to your EFB.
• Subscription: monthly plan now includes a 1-week free trial. Redeem Code and Restore are one tap from the paywall.
FIXED
• A refuel logged during a quick turnaround could be credited to two legs, inflating fuel-added totals. Fixed, and existing trips are repaired automatically on first launch.
• Tank swap counts now reflect only that leg's actual swaps — engine starts, shutdowns, and totalizer checkpoints are no longer counted.
• The leg detail swap log shows only that leg's events instead of the whole burn cycle's history.
