## What is FuelRadar?

Finding the best fuel price shouldn't rely on guesswork or outdated crowdsourced data. FuelRadar is a comprehensive fuel map and price comparison app designed to find the cheapest petrol, diesel, and more across Australia, made locally on the Gold Coast.

FuelRadar uses official data to ensure screen prices reflect the exact, real-time cost at the bowser. Whether you are managing a daily city commute, planning a long-distance regional road trip, or operating a commercial fleet, FuelRadar equips you with professional market intelligence to lower your running costs across Australia.

GO BACK IN TIME WITH REPLAY INSIGHTS
Understanding the Australian fuel price cycle is the key to genuine savings. FuelRadar features an advanced historical pricing tool that allows you to review and analyse past price cycles, up to 90 days back in time, directly on the map. By studying past market conditions, you can accurately predict the best days to fill up and avoid sudden price spikes.

OUTAGE TRACKING & LIVE STATION AVAILABILITY
Do not waste fuel driving to a station only to find the pumps are dry. FuelRadar actively monitors live supply levels across the network. If a station lacks your specific fuel type, the app will notify you before you arrive. This feature is essential during long weekends, supply chain disruptions, or periods of high seasonal demand.

TRUE COST COMPARISON CALCULATOR
A station advertising a lower board price doesn't always result in savings if you must drive far out of your way. Simply input your vehicle’s tank capacity, and FuelRadar will calculate the exact out-of-pocket cost for a full tank, factoring in the driving distance required to get there.

INTELLIGENT ROUTE PLANNING
For long-distance drivers and those towing across regional Australia, route optimisation is critical. Enter your destination and FuelRadar will analyse your journey. The routing engine factors in proximity, live pricing, and stock levels to identify the most cost-effective places to refuel.

DISCOUNT & LOYALTY STACKING
Factor in your supermarket dockets and loyalty programs before you arrive at the pump. Apply your Everyday Rewards, Flybuys, 7-Eleven Price Lock, or Reddy Express discounts directly within the application. FuelRadar automatically updates the map to reflect your final, post-discount rate.

NATIONAL AVERAGES & PRICE CYCLES
Stay informed with our national averages dashboard. Track how your local servo compares to state and national pricing benchmarks. Furthermore, FuelRadar provides dedicated historical pricing charts for major capital cities, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin, and Canberra.

COMPREHENSIVE VEHICLE SUPPORT
FuelRadar offers extensive filtering for all vehicle types. Customise your search by individual fuel grades or combined views, including:

Unleaded: U91, E10, Premium 95, Premium 98

Diesel: Diesel and Premium Diesel

Other: LPG, E85, and Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers

NATIONWIDE BRAND COVERAGE
Access reliable, real-time pricing for every major retailer across the country, including Ampol, BP, Shell, Reddy Express, EG, 7-Eleven, United, Puma, and Liberty. Our coverage extends to hundreds of independent operators across NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, NT, and the ACT.

Data Notice: Victorian price data may experience delays of up to 24 hours depending on the source feed. If you encounter a pricing discrepancy, please use the "report incorrect price" tool within the app to help maintain network accuracy.

### 3/5 — Freezing

*2026-05-02, version 1.0.57*

Good app but freezes a bit a needs to be restarted. Love the trip section so you can see where stations are. Trying to cross the Nullarbor

### 1/5 — Not working

*2026-04-08, version 1.0.56*

App is not working at all

### 1/5 — Intrusive ads lock up the UI

*2026-03-26, version 1.0.55*

Intrusive advertisements lock up the app with no way to cancel them. You have to force close the app and reopen it. Very greedy.

### 1/5 — Feedback

*2026-02-09, version 1.0.54*

Some immediate criticism after trying the app:
- During the onboarding, the user is asked their preference for the start page (dashboard or map)—for an app that they have never used before (that’s why it’s called onboarding)! That doesn’t make sense. You’re asking me about something I haven’t seen yet.
- Default appearance is light, not system, which is an unusual default for apps.
- When you zoom out, the bubble for the price is partially covered by an even smaller red bubble for no. of stations. The small bubble covers the part of price so that you can’t read it. It doesn’t matter that it’s the last digit: Not being able to see the full price is confusing and terrible UI. The text inside the red bubble isn’t correctly aligned either.
- The fact that petrol stations are grouped together when you zoom out can be very confusing, especially in the route planner. (The route planner is a great idea, of course.) It makes me think that petrol stations are somewhere where they aren’t.
- The app doesn’t highlight the very cheapest station among the cheaper ones.
- Contrary to what the developers claim in a response to another negative review, the app still does *not* remember the fuel type you select in the map view.

There are many more UI crimes. Whoever designs this doesn’t know much about interface design and doesn’t follow any of the design guidelines published for free by Apple. It’s sad to see something that could be great but is so badly implemented.

And this is only what I saw after trying to use this app for a few minutes. I think this is an instance of where the people designing and programming the app don’t ever use the app by themselves.

### 2/5 — Recent Update??

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2023-08-27, version 1.0.36*

Couldn’t even get it to work on my iPhone. No problem with other fuel apps.

### 2/5 — Fake email address

*2023-03-26, version 0.0.28*

The app is as good as far as it goes but forget it if you have questions or a problem regarding payment - the email address provided as “support” repeatedly bounces.

### 4/5 — Keep losing fuel type

*2023-03-10, version 0.0.28*

Good app, but every time I open the app. I have to go and update my fuel type. A pain.
