### 3/5 — Loging in

*2024-08-21, version 2.2.23*

The app is not letting me log into my account

### 3/5 — Not bad

*2024-06-22*

I bought my rod at Universal Studios Island of Adventures when my battery level was around 11%. I end up going to 32%. Now and then, I still took pictures, which could have caused the battery charge to slow down. I'm not sure.

Overall, I don't regret buying it because my phone never went out, which kept us safe. It's not suitable for your phone's battery life to go out when you are split from your family. I gave it three stars because I expected my cell phone to have a 50% battery life due to the amount I paid.

### 1/5 — Support

*2023-01-29, version 2.2.20*

I have sent 2 separate support requests - never heard back.

### 1/5 — Good idea. Poor execution.

*2022-11-29*

This would be great if it wasn’t such a terrible battery. A “full” pod straight out of the machine only added about 25% charge to my iPhone. For $26 the battery should be good for at least one whole charge! Silly me for assuming the battery would be decent given the price of the kit. Currently regretting my impulse buy at the Boston Logan airport and wishing I could get a refund.

### 1/5 — They will overcharge you!

*2022-08-27, version 2.2.18*

I purchased a membership. They charged me twice and now I’m getting the run around in terms of me getting my money back. They are CROOKS!!!! Buyer BEWARE!

### 3/5 — Buyer beware. Only 2600mAh

*2022-06-26, version 2.2.18*

Fuel Rod barely contains enough juice for 50% Charge.

Things to know,
2600mAh capacity (IPhone 11pro has 3969)
Costs 30.00 plus tax (Universal Studios FL)

Pro, it’s good for emergencies

### 1/5 — Rip off!!!

*2021-10-11*

Just bought one at Universal Studios Hollywood and I didn’t even get 2 hours’ worth of a charge!
$30 for 90 minutes of phone use…
CROOKS!!!!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2021-07-17*

I’m a legacy customer so I’m supposed to get free exchanges. However, app has locked me out preventing any exchanges. Guess the company saved money this way.

### 1/5 — Too bad app doesn’t work on Android.

*2020-07-15, version 2.2.0*

App will not allow account creation on android

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2019-10-30*

I finally purchased one of these at Logan Airport due to it being only $21 so that way I had to ability to use it at WDW/DL and swap it out for free. Now as of November 1st I will he charged $3 EACH ANS EVERYTIME I swap it out. That’s ridiculous! I want my money back! I can buy a charger cheaper online or even at a store and it will even hold a better charge than the Fuel Rod!!! Shame on your company for doing this!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — BE CAREFUL DON’T GET SCAMMED

*2026-03-17*

Accounts created on the app don’t work on the website and accounts created on the website don’t work on the app

This means if you sign up for a membership on the website it won’t work in the app. And the membership sign up in the app doesn’t work so it’s tempting to run to the website. DONT!

### 1/5 — Please don’t purchase these, seriously, Don’t!

*2025-04-02, version 2.3.1*

This is the slowest charging power bank I've ever purchased. It charged my phone from 30% to 32% in 15 minutes! Really disappointed and I don't understand why this brand is allowed to have kiosks available at reputable places like Disney and Universal. The last non-Fuel Rod power bank I bought on Amazon, from God only knows where, works 100% better and charges faster than these glorified paper weights! I'm going to Universal Studios tomorrow and I will place these in the first kiosk I come across…keep them, don’t want anymore!

### 1/5 — Stupid impulse buy

*2024-09-16*

I’ve been trying for weeks to get them to fix the app. Logjn attempts just bring me back to the login page repeatedly. Promise if a $5 bonus for signing up but without getting into the site it can’t be claimed.

### 1/5 — Charged 9% then died

*2024-08-02, version 2.2.23*

These used to be free to swap now it’s $3 every time. Really disappointed.

### 1/5 — Cant Use App

*2024-06-08*

App wont let me login, reset password just to be safe, tried the alternative methods to login and same result just back to logon screen.

### 1/5 — I would NOT recommend

*2024-05-22*

I did an impulse buy while at Walt Disney World, and I regret it. I paid $30 plus tax. Each one barely charges the battery, and I must keep swapping them out. When I use their app on my iPhone 14, it keeps crashing. If you haven't bought it yet, I would not recommend it!

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2023-12-30*

Gives you 50-75% of a charge, then you have to pay $3 to swap it out after buying it

### 1/5 — Way to expensive

*2023-09-09*

The price is way to expensive can go to another store any buy it for much cheaper.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2023-09-05*

Everything says Undefined or Error. No way to login, sign up, view locations. Pretty useless

### 1/5 — Great idea, poor execution

*2023-04-16*

Bought my first one In Philadelphia. It powered iPad for about an hour. Was it fully charged when I got it?
Then, in Atlanta I wanted to swap. The app crashed several times. And it said there was a kiosk at F10. There is no forking kiosk
Fail.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-04-12, version 2.3.1*

Awesome

### 5/5 — Extremely useful!

*2024-04-17*

I live in the Orlando area and frequently visit the theme parks. I never leave home without my fuel rod. Being able to just swap it for a new one is absolutely amazing. I really love this so much.

### 5/5 — Six Flags

*2022-08-20*

Works well if you buy season passes.
Waiting for kids on roller coasters dinner with music lol

### 5/5 — Worth the money

*2022-01-29*

I paid $30 initially and it gave me 50% or so I was on my phone the whole time so I’m sure it would be near 100% if not. My phones always dead and this for sure saved it a few times. Also it’s $2 a refill couldn’t ask for anything more convenient.

### 5/5 — 100% a great investment @ disney

*2021-07-07*

this is a great investment at the disney parks since they have them all over. so no worrying about your phone dying on you.

### 5/5 — Great system!

*2020-08-18*

I have purchased six of these fuel rods over the years. We use them when we visit DISNEY. When we have a large group and when somebody needs to charge their phone, mostly our grandkids. we can easily let them recharge and then when we pass the station we can swap them out. yes it may cost a little bit however beats the heck out of not having a phone all day, and that would really ruin the theme park visit.

### 5/5 — Easier process!

*2020-03-04*

So much faster and convenient to swap out my fuel rods!

### 5/5 — Helps Find Swap Locations

*2019-10-21*

The app includes free credits for places that charge for swaps and also has a better map for finding Swap locations.

### 4/5 — Good For A Day Out

*2024-04-17, version 2.2.23*

I personally bought one off amazon for 22 bucks a few months back and just swap it while i’m out at theme parks. While i do agree that sometimes the pods come out of the machines less than fully charged I do find the 5 dollar swaps much more convenient. Plus you can take them home and recharge them to use daily.

### 3/5 — Dissappointed

*2025-05-03, version 2.3.1*

Location WDFL61 not dispensing. Bummer.
