### 2/5 — Quite Expensive, and a subscription, really?

*2026-03-25*

I highly respect your work, but having an xpro1, I have no idea how many recipes worth I actually get, because the filter options are disabled in free. Onetime purchase would be ok, but not a subscription for 22€ per year.

**Developer response:** There are only 15 Recipes directly compatible with the X-Pro1 in the app. You can find these on the Fuji X Weekly website, too, all for free.

### 3/5 — Great App but would like some change

*2026-01-30*

The app itself is great and I am a subscriber for a few years now. I am not a big fan of subscriptions but its price/value is good enough that this is one of the few I keep.

But what I do not like is that his camera app requires a 2nd subscription to use the same simulations.

So I have two feature requests
1: allow exporting of simulations as LUT to use with other apps and cameras.

2: add some way to get access to the simulations you already payed for. In his camera app.

**Developer response:** I appreciate your support and feedback. I'm not sure I understand your requests, though. The first (as I understand it, but maybe I misunderstand what you're asking) seems like an impossible request, something Fujifilm themselves would need to create. For the second, are you asking about Early-Access Recipes? As a subscriber, are you having difficulty viewing those?

### 4/5 — Automatic upload

*2025-12-14*

The app is fine, but as a product story it feels unfinished. It needs to go further and support automatic preset uploads to the camera, so users don’t have to enter everything manually.

**Developer response:** That would be amazing, and I hope to bring that soon. It's important to note that any app or software that is not Fujifilm's official products or is licensed, connecting your camera to that will void the manufacturers warranty.

### 2/5 — App fails to open

*2025-12-14, version 1.12.0*

Was able to use this app when I downloaded it a few weeks ago, but now it crashes on opening. Bummertown.

### 4/5 — Love the app but one major flaw

*2025-12-09, version 1.11.0*

Having to type everything is tedious work and takes a fraction of the time in the fuji style app. But that app has some flaws too. Id like to see an upgrade for users to just select from a drop down or something

### 4/5 — El precio no es muy fiable

*2025-10-23, version 1.9.0*

### 2/5 — Receive requests for Korean language support

*2025-09-04*

We need Korean language support. There are many Fujifilm users in Korea. Please provide convenience to users by adding Korean support. It’s very inconvenient that the app is only in English. It would be great if multiple languages were available, but Korean is the most important.

### 4/5 — helpful tool

*2025-08-25*

Very tiny helpful tool to organize the filters. Would be great if iCloud sync could work, as I‘m using different devices.

**Developer response:** You can do that now, but it is a manual process and not automatic.

### 4/5 — Essential toolkit for custom film sims

*2025-08-19, version 1.8.0*

There are some great recipes on here. As a complete noob to Fuji and cameras in general; it has helped me learn the process behind creating a film recipe based on a desired aesthetic for straight out of camera shots, and it has been fun experimenting with them.

### 4/5 — Awesome app

*2025-07-27, version 1.8.0*

This app is pretty awesome to get all your recipes.

It would be so great if you could copy / upload the recipes directly to your camera. If the will be integrated I would definitely get the subscription.

### 4/5 — Great App but lately….

*2025-06-17, version 1.8.0*

I changed to the iphone 16 pro with IOS 18.5 and placing simulations as widgets is not working… probably it’s me that I am missing someting but wanted to find out if someone else is experiencing this. Thank you.

*2025-06-03, version 1.8.0*

### 3/5 — Usually great but one big flaw

*2025-02-08, version 1.8.0*

I love this app and have had it for multiple years, including the subscription— but one day all my recipes one day just vanished. Multiple years of tweaking recipes and saving them to the app, completely gone. Couldn’t get them back. Great app but I’ve learned my lesson, put your recipes in another place that won’t randomly decide to get rid of them one day.

### 4/5 — Beware Losing All Your Recipes!

*2024-12-29, version 1.7.2*

I got a new iPhone and the recipes from my previous model didn’t transfer over. Make sure you have your recipes backed up somewhere.

### 5/5 — Recette film

*2024-10-02*

### 3/5 — No problem with the subscription fee, but a few things could be much better.

*2024-09-21, version 1.7.2*

I appreciate it takes effort and time to make apps, and I think the app sub fee is fine, though it should have a monthly option.

That said there are some things that need work.

First, custom recipes lack slots for certain elements. For example there’s no entry space for grain size

Second the entries on custom recipes should be drowns for available options. So grain size should have a small / large drop down, dynamic range should have auto / low / high drop down. This is REALLY easy to implement, so I don’t know why it hasn’t been

For new Fuji users a bit more help
Would probably be appreciated, for example, choosing x100vi may not show all the relevant xtrans filters.

It’s a good start, but given the requirement to commit for a year, I think it should be improved, and can be easily.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Tried and tested

*2026-08-30, version 1.15.2*

Crashes instantly using the “new” transfer recipes to camera. Literally shuts down instantly.

### 1/5 — Teurr

*2025-07-30*

### 1/5 — Not helpful

*2025-06-24*

Half of the settings in the recipes are not on my Fuji camera even though my camera is compatible with the recipe.

### 1/5 — Useful app run by a weirdo

*2025-03-28*

I was a subscriber for a while because I wanted to support the idea of the app and found some of the recipes useful but then I started actually reading the sites posts and the guy that runs it is a weirdo who thinks way too highly of himself and I unsubscribed after I saw his unhinged post about the Nikon recipes app stealing his work.

He seems to think he invited the idea of camera presets. I mean in my high school yearbook class in 2005 we were talking preset settings to make our DNG files look like the film we normally shot. If you want actual community check out some of the other amazing creators out there and hopefully Fuji will eventually add official support for uploading recipes to their app one day.

### 1/5 — app does not work on MAC.

*2024-08-13, version 1.7.1*

does not work , keeps closing after 2 searches.

### 1/5 — Utilité ?

*2024-04-03*

Aucun bouton..

### 1/5 — Stop asking for location data

*2023-07-26*

It's unnecessary and gross. If we don't want it always on we shouldn't be asked to have it on. Ruining a great product.

### 1/5 — Still only in Spanish

*2023-06-18*

There was an update but they’re still on the Spanish. I delete the app and install the new so many times.

### 1/5 — Money grab

*2023-05-24*

Requires you to pay $19.99/year to filter the list of recipes. Can’t even sort by what works on my camera, which is like 1/10th of these recipes, so this app is pretty useless

### 1/5 — Language

*2023-05-21, version 1.5.0*

I updated the app but it changed from English to Spanish. And can't switch back to English?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — New transfer feature is awesome

*2026-08-23, version 1.15.1*

I’ve tried probably 4 other apps with the transfer functionality. No surprise this is the first one to actually get it right. Ritchie’s functionality here is exactly what a real Fuji user would do. Not to mention the core functionality of the existing app which is excellent.

### 5/5 — Tolles Update

*2026-08-22*

VIELEN DANK! 🫶

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2026-04-21, version 1.13.2*

The Fuji W Weekly app saves me so much time. It’s a lot of fun to use recipes and there are so many to try!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-04-21, version 1.13.2*

This app is essential for Fujifilm photographers. Well done!

### 5/5 — World of possibilities

*2025-11-29, version 1.11.0*

This app has opened a world of enjoyment for me. If you own a Fujifilm camera like I do (XT30), then this app is a must.

### 5/5 — For the search bar

*2025-11-01, version 1.9.0*

I like the app. It summarizes everything you read on the website. I also like that you can write notes for each recipe. One thing i would suggest is to INCLUDE WHAT’S WRITTEN ON THE NOTES when the user uses the “Search” feature. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Interesting app, for Fuji explorers 🙏

*2025-04-26*

Interesting app, thx.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2025-03-06, version 1.8.0*

Lots of great film recipes which you can access and use on your camera. Having quick access on an app is very useful. Clearly lots of work has gone into this app which has so much available for free. If you want more and it is worth it then you can pay for a year’s membership.

### 5/5 — Extra mile

*2025-03-03, version 1.8.0*

Here es an example of what dedication and commitment to the Film cause is about

### 5/5 — Must-have app; I love this for my X-T5

*2024-12-22, version 1.7.2*

Fantastic app all around, well worth the annual subscription. It would be awesome to sort sims by clarity too.
