With constant updates and multiple devices using the same app, the lag in sync time is causing issues with over writing joint records. Was extremely happy with the app till the last update has caused major issues ### 2/5 — Not good *2023-06-02* I do not like the new look of it. It’s harder to see the road and road names. The houses no longer have addresses on them. I preferred the older look. The app is hard to figure out, I ended up using a different data collection method. When notified that my plan would be renewed and I would be billed, cancelling the subscription was almost impossible. Web app is no better as it’s just a simple copy of tablet app. Could be so much more! ### 5/5 — Customized mobile forms solution *2018-10-31* Using Fulcrum for mobile data collection saves so much time! It’s super easy to use so even the technologically challenged (like me) can learn it quickly. But if you dive in deeper, it’s very powerful and adept. You can create mobile forms for just about anything! Their support is amazing. ### 5/5 — From idea to reality in 15 minutes *2018-10-23* Fulcrum has been built with thoughtfulness and purpose, primarily with the field data collectors in kind. However, enabling project managers and administrators to conceive of an idea, design it, review it, change it as needed, and deploy it globally with a single click in 15 minutes or less makes Fulcrum the premier mobile data collection platform available, by far. If it crashes while you’re in the middle of editing a record, any changes are not saved, so you better remember what you edits you made! It also freezes EVERY time I go back into the app. The keyboard also typically freezes too (this is ONLY an issue with Fulcrum. This never happens in any other app I use). If you use this app for business purposes (like me), please, for the sake of your and your coworkers’ sanity, do not use this app. ### 1/5 — Buggy and expensive. *2022-12-05, version 3.2.18* This guys sting you on price, and regularly release updates with major bugs and issues that cost your company time and money. I can assure you that this would have been an isolated incident as we have historically had very high levels of customer satisfaction with our support team. I would invite you to contact our support team again, and if you have a similar experience, please ask to be directed to the Director of our Customer Success Team. ### 1/5 — Mobile app hasn’t worked in months *2019-06-29* I’ve used the mobile app to collect field data for work, and it worked fine for about the first month that I used it. After that, the app started to crash every time I tried to sync. Even if it’s just one record with 3 or 4 pictures, it’ll crash about 15 seconds after I hit sync. Then I have a useless file that I can’t send or upload anywhere. That was a bad deal for our field techs who at one time would exclusively use fulcrum for data collection. I installed all the latest updates and it hasn’t fixed it. Everyone else that used it at work said the same thing. We’re starting to ditch fulcrum and use another site for our field data. **Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback, Hustler. We’re always striving to improve and will take your advice to heart. Over the last several months we've gone to great lengths to improve performance, reliability, and capacity. We’d love to have you back! ### 1/5 — Needs work *2019-03-04, version 2.19.0* Format of exported PDF reports is awful. Quoted $1950 to produce a custom report format. Exported ESRI shapefiles modify the time and date on photos and waypoints so that the exported date are incorrect. Exported ESRI shapefiles take on the name of the app you have created, not your project. As a result, shapefiles for every project have the same file name. Doesn’t accept .pdf or .msg files for upload, only .jpg. Exported image file names are random 30+ characters. ### 1/5 — Mr *2016-12-09, version 2.12.2* It is not free app ### 1/5 — instantly crashes *2015-04-01, version 2.8.0* DO NOT DOWNLOAD NEW APRIL 2 VERSION our entire day is nearly ruined. can't figure out how to go back to earlier version. awful software. ### 1/5 — Canceling Fulcrum Service *2014-12-04* If you're looking for a paid mobile data collection service that is stable and reliable, I recommend saving your time and money and looking elsewhere. I've been using Fulcrum's paid services to conduct home insurance inspections for almost a year using both the iPhone and iPad apps. The apps have crashed on me mid-inspection several times on both devices, losing the data I've collected and the photos I've taken. The last straw was when it crashed twice during the same inspection... I had to retrace my steps, re-do my forms, and retake all photos... TWICE, wasting my time, the homeowner's time, and my client's time. Though I've been happy with Fulcrum's services otherwise, their services are essentially useless since the mobile apps are unstable and buggy. I can't successfully run my business with something this unreliable. I'm canceling Fulcrum's service and looking elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Needs work *2013-11-02* The 1.x versions were great. This update is slower, buggier and confusing. previously the map view was limited to 500 pins, which maintained performance. The new map view attempts to display everything which buries the current location marker and slows everything to a crawl (iPhone 5s). Icons have been unnecessarily updated or moved making the UI disorienting. Finally, I've discovered at least one bug which is prohibiting me from editing text fields in saved entries. Please Fix! ### 2/5 — Service has gone downhill drastically from what it once was when this platform first started *2025-06-27* I am an early user of the platform as I have been using it for over 10 years for a local government natural resources agency. I appreciate the customizable data tracking apps, and ability to upload and download data. However, every year there has been significant pricing increases and changes to their policy regarding device logins. We have been priced out of using this platform as the cost has increased by well over an order of magnitude. Furthermore their billing department has abysmal service. They charged our credit card when they were supposed to receive ACH payment and they refused to reverse this erroneous charge. We are looking at alternatives even though we have been a long time client. I miss the early days when the support staff and customer service was exceptional. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Mobile *2025-10-25* Excellent source on mobile phones while working in the field. Would recommend keeping a tablet with the app too just in case of any minor issues with your phone. I haven’t found a way to duplicate reports from mobile yet . I’m sure it’s an option somewhere. Keeps my hands free instead of having to tote a tablet up and down landfill slopes and makes for quick and easy uploading of photos for documentation . After using Fulcrum for six months for and with my employer, it seems that this app could use a plug-in for Maps or add navigation to Fulcrum so we don’t need to jump back-and-forth through apps it would make so much sense if this was possible. Being able to see the polls on Apple CarPlay would make for a much safer and fluent travels. Overall, the app has improved a lot in six months and does not crash as frequently. ### 5/5 — Great app *2022-11-15, version 3.2.17* Great app. Have been using it for 8 years and haven’t found anything better. It integrates really well with the website version and syncs well between our various users. I was looking for something like this for a long time and I’m so glad I finally found it!
