## What is Fumenru?

Snap a photo of sheet music and hear it play.

Fumenru reads the notes on printed sheet music with AI and plays them back on the spot. Even if you can't read music yet, you can hear how a piece is supposed to sound.

SNAP IT, HEAR IT
Point your camera at a score and press the shutter. The notes become sound in under a minute. For two-piano scores, just pick which piano to read.

NOTES THAT FALL ONTO THE KEYS
Notes fall onto a full 88-key keyboard, so you can see which key to press and when — without reading a staff.

RIGHT HAND ONLY, LEFT HAND ONLY
Play one hand at a time. Repeat the harder hand until it sticks.

START SLOW
Play at the tempo printed on the score, then slow it down to a speed you can manage. Pick a first and last measure to loop a difficult passage. Turn on the metronome and count-in, and lower the piano volume to play along with the click.

MAKE IT EASIER TO PLAY
Transpose by semitones and show note names on the notes. Transposition is remembered for each score.

FIX WHAT IT MISREAD
Recognized music is shown on a staff. Tap any note to correct its pitch or length — rests, time signatures, key signatures and repeat signs too. Notes the reader was unsure about are shaded, so you know where to look first.

FINGERINGS, ONLY WHERE PRINTED
Fingerings printed on the score appear next to the notes. We never invent fingerings that aren't written.

YOUR LIBRARY STAYS
Scanned scores are saved to your account, so they open on any device you sign in to.

WHO IT'S FOR
- Piano students, and adults picking it up again
- Choir and band members learning a single part
- Anyone with a score but no recording

GOOD TO KNOW
- A free account is required to scan sheet music. Sample and blank scores work without signing in.
- Photos are used only for recognition and are not kept on your device.
- Please only scan music you own or have permission to use.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-29

- Two-piano scores: turn on "Two-piano score" on the page check, then pick Piano I or II.
- Practice settings in the player: metronome, count-in, note names, transpose (per score).
- Tempo is set with ± in %; lower the piano volume to hear the metronome.
- Set loop ends measure by measure, or drag them on the seek bar.
- Unsure notes are shaded light orange in the editor.
- Tap a long title to read it in full.
- Scores still being read reach your list after a reinstall, once you sign in.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-09-27

- Playback now uses a recorded piano, so it sounds much closer to the real thing.
- New Loop button in the player: tap it at the first and last measure to repeat that section.
- Add score now shows tips for taking a photo that reads cleanly.
- To answer support questions faster, the app now records which kind of device you use (iOS or Android). Only the kind is recorded, never the model or anything that identifies your device.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-25

- Repeat signs and 1st/2nd endings are now read. Playback and the falling notes follow the repeats, and the staff shows the signs and brackets.
- Add or remove repeat signs while editing: tap an empty spot in a measure to open its panel. An ending can be none or 1st to 3rd. Use it when the reading missed a repeat, or on scores you imported before.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-22

- Duplicate a score from its menu. It takes no photo, so it costs no tokens.
- Merge a score into the end of another, for a piece you imported in parts.
- Better reading: broken chords are less often misread as triplets, a short measure is widened to its time signature so you can fill the gap with notes or rests, and 64th notes are now read.
- Reading notes now appear in the app's display language.
- Pull down on your library to refresh it.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-09-21
