## What is Func?

You already know the drill. You wake up early, check three different apps, stare at swell charts and wind graphs, and still have no idea if it's actually worth paddling out.

Func Art fixes that.

We take everything — wave height, swell direction, wind, tide, and how your spot actually breaks — and turn it into one clear answer: POOR, FAIR, GOOD, or GREAT. Glance and go.

San Diego's spots, from Trestles to Imperial Beach. Every break pinned at the actual takeoff — checked against satellite imagery — so the forecast you read is for the wave in front of you. Updated every hour. No guessing.

Check the 24-hour forecast to find your window today, or look ahead with the full 7-day forecast so you know which morning this week is worth setting an alarm for. Tap any spot on the map to see what's firing nearby, and read a plain-English summary of exactly why conditions rated the way they did.

Plus: Func Art connects to a physical light for your place. Glance across the room and know before your feet hit the floor.

Surf today. Ski, kite, sail, and wake — next.

### 5/5 — Great app!!!

*2026-03-24*

Love this app. It’s very easy to use and super accurate - it actually tells you if it’s worth driving to the beach. Checked Blacks Beach this mornin… said GOOD with a 1p-3p window and it was spot on. Simple, fast, no fluff.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.0.8 — 2026-09-02

A completely redesigned home screen.
Your forecast is now three clean charts — Waves, Wind, and Tide — instead of five. The quality rating runs right under the wave bars, night hours dim so daylight pops, and the peak window shows you the best time to paddle out at a glance. Tap any hour to read exact conditions across all three charts.

View on Map. Every spot page now has a button that jumps straight to that spot on the map.

A better map. Sharper basemap, smoother browsing to far-off breaks, and tap any spot's popup to open its full forecast.

Plus more accurate spot locations across San Diego, and plenty of fixes and polish.

### 3.0.7 — 2026-08-30

A completely redesigned home screen.
Your forecast is now three clean charts — Waves, Wind, and Tide — instead of five. The quality rating runs right under the wave bars, night hours dim so daylight pops, and the peak window shows you the best time to paddle out at a glance. Tap any hour to read exact conditions across all three charts.

View on Map. Every spot page now has a button that jumps straight to that spot on the map.

Plus a sharper new basemap and more accurate spot locations across San Diego.

### 3.0.6 — 2026-08-28

Spot locations are fixed. Dozens of breaks were pinned in the wrong place — one by more than seven miles — so the forecast you were reading wasn't for the wave in front of you. Every spot has been re-checked against satellite imagery and corrected.

Also in this update:
• New map that's actually legible
• Day ratings now agree with the hourly bars
• A plain-English reason behind every rating
• Spots saved during setup always get a real location

### 3.0.5 — 2026-05-11

Func Art tells you whether to paddle out — no
data overload, just a color. This update polishes
the home screen, fixes saved spot reliability,
and corrects a few pin locations on the map.
Same simple question, sharper answer.

### 3.0.1 — 2026-03-19

Better UI flow for spot exploration.
