I don't have to rummage through old newspapers or buy no local newspapers to keep track of obituaries I want to read. ### 5/5 — Great App! *2014-05-20, version 1.4* This is a great app. It’s really solving a need out there today. I’m able to view obits in my local area and don’t always have to come across a paper. They push new obits directly to my phone. Nice work! ### 5/5 — Awesome app *2013-11-30, version 1.3* Finally there is an app and I don't have to just happen across an obituary in the paper to know if someone I know or care about has passed away. There have been so many times in the past where I didn't know someone passed away until well after the funeral. Now even if that person doesn't live where I live, I can find out by just opening an app on my smartphone. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Does not find all obits in Amarillo Texas *2019-07-31, version 2.8* This app does not bring up obituaries for all funerals or funeral homes in Amarillo or Canyon Texas. Obituaries that it pulls up are for only one funeral home and they are 6 to 12 months old. This app 4-6 months ago it was always updated and listed current obituaries. ### 1/5 — Not useful *2017-12-27, version 2.8* This app sounded good in the description, but it doesn't actually allow you to search for a person's name. Without the ability to search by name, this app is nothing but a waste of time. Don't bother to install! ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2017-06-21, version 2.8* Very time consuming to use. I assumed it might be all CURRENT obits active in Chicago but I was wrong. Perhaps it only pushes new obits out to my phone? I would like to see all current obits and be able to search them all. I live in the sixth largest city and doesn't seem to pick anything up. Navigation isn't good and just leads you in circles without realizing it's the app that has no info. Felt like I was doing something wrong but alas it wasn't me. Saw a presentation at a convention and the presenter couldn't get any info out of the app either. This app has a lot of work ahead of themselves. They have potential but it isn't realized yet. ### 5/5 — EXCELLENT *2017-06-20, version 2.8* This is an awesome app! You simply type in deceaseds first and last name which pops up tap name and ob appears.I highly recommend! I have been following it recently and fortunately I have had alerts on funerals in the town where I reside. It looks like the app people are making improvements but it also appears that funeral homes need to get with this app to share the obits for their own clientele as well as the public. I don't take the newspaper any more so this is a great service.
