A Godsend! ### 4/5 — Great plugin - just needs an AUv3 version! *2026-06-27, version 4.22* Great plugin, killer grooves and solid sounds. It's like I've got a legit funk drummer in my iPad. The only downside is that it isn't a proper AUv3 plugin, so here's hoping that they implement that soon. That's the only thing keeping it from being 5 stars for me! ### 5/5 — Pocket is Deep! *2026-05-13, version 4.22* A+ ### 5/5 — Cool and groovy *2026-04-23, version 4.18* I like it ### 5/5 — Awesome drums. *2026-04-22, version 4.22* So good. Best on ipad. ### 5/5 — Great App *2026-04-01, version 4.22* I use it daily. Live gigs and recording. Has the best feel of all others I’ve tried. ### 5/5 — great App *2026-04-01, version 4.22* Use it daily for live gigs!! ### 5/5 — Excelente pegada *2026-03-30* Muitas opções de bateras e pegadas! **Developer response:** Hi there Thank you so much for this feedback! Glad you're enjoying the wide variety of drum kits and grooves Funk Drummer offers on iPad. Thank you for your review! ### 5/5 — Nice but... *2026-03-17, version 4.22* Several issues... doesn't have any way to export, and when you straight record it, the timing is off the first beat on recordings. You can't import your own sounds, but at least it has midi. There are a few things i would set up more flexibly, but this developer doesnt like to listen to feedback. Oh well... ### 5/5 — Great Funky App😀 *2026-03-01, version 4.22* Having fun with this app. I’ll post another, once Iget to grips with it ### 5/5 — Awesome app!! *2026-02-26, version 4.22* Again, when the app is restoredMy to-go drum app. No minuses, only pluses. Thanks, Lumbeat! Just change your restore task - no need to write reviews again and again…. ### 5/5 — Organic raw drumming *2026-02-08, version 4.22* I got all the apps and brilliant stuff This is incredible! Thank you so much ### 5/5 — Awesome *2026-02-04, version 4.22* I love this app so much it’s the perfect tool for a bassist needing some drums to jam along to when working on ideas ### 4/5 — Great but no 6/8 *2026-01-22, version 4.22* Seems these guys believe in every odd time signature but for some reason they have an aversion to good ‘ol 6/8. Ah well, you can’t have everything… ### 5/5 — Sweet stuff *2026-01-10, version 4.22* Try it now! ### 5/5 — Fabulous! *2025-12-15, version 4.22* Like all the Lumbeat apps, as far as I’m concerned, worth every penny (or cent). Very realistic, flexible to make your own kit and your own colouring with fills and swing. Have had them for years and still love them. ### 5/5 — My go to *2025-12-06, version 4.22* This is the best realistic drummer I’ve ever seen ### 4/5 — Will be 5 star with AuV3 *2025-11-30, version 4.22* Fantastic app for those who would love to get up and go with some groovy presets, though you can also create your own of course, Plenty of nuance with Humanize Velocity settings, and great DAW mixer style control over sounds. Fantastic tool for practicing bass with, when you don't want all the palaver of adjusting Logic's drummer (which is the best for DAWs, btu not for on the fly changes) Just needs to get that AuV3 support, and ideally some way to control with a bluetooth (typing) keyboard - especially for use on mac desktop, and i'd definitely give 5 stars. ### 5/5 — Cool mo dee *2025-10-18, version 4.22* KooLr than KooLr. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t restore purchased Drummer *2026-07-28, version 4.22* I’m giving this app one star until the developer restores my previously purchased Clyde drummer on my new iPad. It hangs the app every time I try. No response when sending feedback on website. De l'argent gâché 😔 ### 1/5 — Tremendously disappointed *2017-09-08, version 3.02* Was using this app on the stand for over a year and loved it. The last update took away the ability to be triggered by another devices start and stop midi commands. (Boss Looper) The only way now to trigger start and stop is to send midi note or cc commands. App is now useless to me. Updates are supposed to improve, not take away features. Software development 101. So sad. ### 2/5 — Nice but *2021-11-29, version 4.18* This app no longer loads into AUM since iOS 15 and is not Auv3 compatible. I could not figure out how to get support from lumbeat, so I had to do it this way. Good app when it works. Gary ### 2/5 — Nice but... *2021-11-29, version 4.13* Several issues... doesn't have any way to export, and when you straight record it, the timing is off the first beat on recordings. You can't import your own sounds, but at least it has midi. There are a few things i would set up more flexibly, but this developer doesnt like to listen to feedback. Oh well... ### 2/5 — Midi in broken *2021-03-22* The concept of this app is great, but there are several things wrong : user interface is very clumsy, you can’t use it as drum pad, and most important : midi in is completely broken despite several updates : you can’t control individual sounds from an external source like AUM. Moreover, communication done by the developer is very poor ### 2/5 — Sick! *2018-12-14, version 3.46* Funking awesome ### 2/5 — Nag screens on a $25 app??? *2018-06-29, version 3.1* Unacceptable to nag for reviews on a paid app. While the app is good, no developer response on a support query and nag screens forced a low star review ### 3/5 — Nearly perfect *2024-12-07, version 4.22* Amazing sounds and grooves and so many options to fine tune everything. YT videos have successfully demonstrated midi out working with third party apps but this does seem to work anymore. Still needs AUv3 as the app will be redundant when IAA is phased out. Come on developer you will make so many people happy when you do this and these wonderful tools for musicians can finally reach their true potential. Deserves 5 stars when the changes are done. ### 3/5 — Nearly perfect *2024-10-01* Amazing sounds and grooves and so many options to fine tune everything. Just like having a drummer at your disposal. Just let it jam then chop it up. One of my favourites ### 5/5 — Cool grooves *2026-08-30, version 4.22* Fin to jam with! --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
