So frustrating. I finally get a verification code, and once I submit it… it never goes through. Been trying for over an hour. How are you suppose to buy a pass if you can’t even get into an account. ### 1/5 — ⚠️WARNING DONT GET⚠️ *2021-10-08, version 1.5* This app works the day before you go to the State Fair but when you try and open the app at the Fair it takes over 7 minutes to get access to your tickets after each ride. I had my tickets scanned too many times and went from a balance of 110 tickets, then went on a ride with my friends for 30 tickets, then when I tried going on another ride I was told I only have 4 tickets!!! Don’t get this app, please, I want people to have a good time at the State fair. This will ruin your experience. Typed it exactly and even copied and pasted but still doesn’t work. Deleting. If they can’t even match up probably don’t want to use the app since must have lots of bugs. ### 1/5 — Stole my money *2019-08-12, version 1.5* I downloaded this app thinking it was a good idea, because you get a free ride on the ski lift. It turns out it took $10 worth of tickets from my account, I had 20 tickets ($10 for 20) and I checked half an hour later there were somehow 0 tickets, and when I used the free ski lift ride, they said that they stopped doing that. I was very disappointed with the app. And when I explained to the staff, they said they are not affiliated with the app, and I said every single stand, every single ride, and every single ticket concession had a sign on it saying Download the app for a free ride on the ski lift and add your tickets. This was the worst experience I had at any fair, even though I won 5 prizes, it wasn’t worth it. ### 1/5 — Does not show history properly *2019-08-03, version 1.5* App won’t show history after being at the fair 2 hours I wasn’t able to see the history anymore of transactions on the pass, it said I met the maximum quota for messages. The point was that I could see where my kids were who wanted to do different things. Lame! ### 1/5 — Don’t even bother downloading *2019-07-26, version 1.5* App crashes and always logs me out. Imagine trying to scan your ticket to go on a ride and the app logs you out and now you have to log in again. And if you decide to stick with the old school ticket, make sure to keep track of how much you have left. OC Fair cheated me. Played only 2 games but was charged 3. Worse part, customer service was horrible and unprofessional. Said maybe next time I should download the app to keep track. But I did! Not my fault your app is buggy and your workers double scan my ticket. Do not give them your data!! *2023-04-09* Downloaded initially a year ago for the local fair to buy passes for rides… app force closes whenever doing anything. Downloaded again just now to try to be better prepared and have passes before I go to the fair again… same problems. No way to request a new verification code. Seems even if you can get verified other users have just as many issues with every other function of the app anyways. Signs everywhere around the fair say, “Don’t wait in line, use the app!” I wish I could. I wish I could. ### 1/5 — Truly incompetent people created this- 0 stars if possible *2022-05-29, version 1.5* The app rejects credit cards like it’s there’s no tomorrow. Even when you do get it to work it’s flaky. If you ever want to purchase more tickets much later on you cannot add the same amount or it says it’s a duplicate payment. If you go to add another card to process it prompts you for your pass again (it forgets). The coupon code thing doesn’t work. And it never let me past the registration page. I’ve been waiting almost 72 hours for this to work and it won’t even let me put in my verification code. 🙄 delete this and try again guys cus this isn’t it I’d give .5 a star if I could ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Good idea *2022-07-27, version 1.5* I was thinking from the reviews that it was going to be a bad idea but no it was a good idea because I was able to just pull my phone out and then bam I was able to go on the ride and now I don’t have to hold my tickets I can just pull out my phone. ### 5/5 — Worked great *2022-06-25, version 1.5* This saved a lot of time from waiting in lines at the San Diego Fair. Easy and fast. ### 5/5 — Worked just fine at the Arizona State Fair 2021 *2021-10-29, version 1.5* I admit I was reluctant to use this app because of all the bad reviews, but decided to give it a try anyway. I used it for the Arizona State Fair, and I can say I had absolutely no issues with the app. It worked fine and did what it was supposed to do. In fact, it was a lot more convenient to use it rather than stand in line to buy tickets. There were also a lot of people just using it at the fair, having their phones scanned at the rides as well as the games. ### 5/5 — Simple but effective *2021-08-15, version 1.5* I was kinda skeptical and worried using this app because of the rating and poor review. I used it today at the OC Fair and had no problem at all. What made me change my mind to download and use the app was seeing that the tickets were sold by the same company as the app. Tickets were being printed out on a small paper with a barcode. All the ride and carnival game operators were using their phone to scan the tickets. I might as well just use the app on my phone. It was super convenient. The app updated after every scan and let me know how much I had left. It showed me a history of every scan. I could reload my pass right on the phone. I didn’t need to go back to the ticket booths or self serve kiosk to check the amount remaining or to reload. Anyways super impressed considering the reviews this app has. The app never crashed on me. I also went during peak time too. Second to last day of the fair towards the early evening all the way to almost closing time. ### 5/5 — The Best!! *2019-06-27, version 1.5* I love going to the OC Fair and it’s so convenient to have the Fun Pass on my phone! That way I never lose my pass! 😊❤️👍🏼 ### 5/5 — Worked just fine! *2019-06-06, version 1.5* Went to the Del Mar Fair aka SD County Fair... bought my tickets in under a minute with relative ease! Very straight forward app. Glad this exists because now I don’t have to carry paper tickets and it just subtracts tickets on the app after I use them! ### 4/5 — Worked at 2019 OC Fair *2019-07-14, version 1.5* Worked very well on opening day the OC Fair this year. Best features are the ability buy your tickets before arrival and to add new tickets as needed throughout the day with just a few clicks. Because of the sunlight, the handheld scanners sometimes took a bit longer to scan the bar code but 100% of the time it eventually scanned. My recommendation to the developer is that they work with the fair organizers to have incorporate “scanning boxes” were a phone can be inserted out of the direct sunlight to make the process more seamless, or better yet add NFC technology into next year’s version!! ### 3/5 — App crashes after clicking pay. *2019-06-05, version 1.5* Frick you ### 3/5 — Internet dependent *2018-07-15, version 1.2* I used this at the OC fair, it was all good but when my ATnT service stopped working because of heavy network traffic I couldn’t use my tickets. I suggest they put in WiFi at the info both to avoid this issue in the future. Otherwise it’s a handy application ### 2/5 — Poor app *2021-07-18, version 1.5* App freezes and need a lot of bandwidth for a simple app. Had trouble using it that OC Fair. Luckily I got it to work so we could use our pass to play games. But it could never update to tell us how much we had left on our pass.
