Maybe when you get to last level you get kitty cash when you love cats levels, or for every time you collect 5000 stars or something. I have hit max level (56), and have collected all available decor. I can still get new items and cats in events, but would really love it if there were new sets. I absolutely love this developer. Such an ethical and charitable company. Check out their other games! “Old Friends” is based on an actual senior dog rescue, who I discovered isn’t too far from me! Highly recommend!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Can’t Upgrade Cats Anymore *2026-02-19, version 3.184* This is a great game but after the last update (6 days ago) there’s an error every time I try to upgrade the cats. They also don’t recharge sometimes anymore after putting them in an activity. These are two basic activities of the game so it is nearly unplayable. There’s an option to Report Error, but like others have said, that doesn’t work either. If they fix the update, it’s a 5 star game on arcade! ### 1/5 — Rewards aren’t consistent *2026-02-05, version 3.173* So apparently the way to keep leveling up is to collect XP points by matching cats & by nourishing them… but XP points aren’t always added. For example. We can select a level 4 gentle cat for a customer who’s also a level 4 that’s looking for a gentle cat & no points will be rewarded. Then we’ll pair a level 2 shy cat with a level 2 customer looking for a shy cat & XP points WILL be added. It’s very confusing. Some mechanics were clearly designed around micro transactions and interrupts gameplay. 1. The baskets take way too long to unlock and costs premium currency to speed up without a way to reliably gain said currency. Either take away the opening timers or make random events like petting cats grant premium currency. 2. Cleaning, playing with cats, and serving customers grant next to no rewards. You get 5 coins for a 5-10 second interaction when a basic chair costs 150 coins. 3. Customer cuddle time needs to be shortened or there needs to be a way to shorten them, ie by fulfilling food/drink orders. Basically there’s a bunch of timers that don’t add anything to the game other than frustration and actually playing the game feels pointless. You play for 1-2 mins and all thats left to do is wait 15-20 mins to do something again. In its current state I feel this game is not really worth your time.
