### 4/5 — Harder than it seemed.

*2024-09-30, version 2.8.0*

Harder than it seemed.

### 4/5 — Beware

*2023-09-12*

Not all these puzzles are able to be solved..the few that I found are in the 6 x 6 grid..so don’t be disappointed if you spend lots of time and do not succeed.
It would be appreciated if the designer would rectify these errors

**Developer response:** This is the first time someone told me there are unsolvable puzzles. Please let me know which puzzles are unsolvable so I can fix them or show you the solution.

### 4/5 — Frustrating

*2023-06-22, version 2.7*

A good game. Very clear easy to play but hate the way it records mistakes as errors are because of motor control and visual issues and years of playing a better version which removes numbers once they are all used. Cannot see any need to give stars as this is very babyish or nerd competitive idea.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2021-10-31, version 2.7*

Great game, gets the brain going.

### 4/5 — Still fun

*2021-09-28, version 2.7*

Wish it would automatically remove penciled numbers that are found. Wastes lots of time to erase the penciled numbers. But love this game!!

### 4/5 — Good but too many adverts

*2021-03-06, version 2.7*

Enjoyable game but too many adverts spoil it,

### 4/5 — Good

*2020-11-21, version 2.7*

Enjoy

### 5/5 — Cannot stop playing

*2020-11-12, version 2.7*

After playing other Futoshiki apps I like this one best. I really enjoy solving the puzzle even though I am not very good at it. This is my first review. Thanks for a great game! Xo

### 5/5 — Nice game!

*2020-05-23, version 2.7*

Smooth operation and lots of free games!

### 5/5 — Well laid out, fun to play.

*2020-05-02, version 2.7*

Fun to play. Nicely laid out and easy to put in and remove possible numbers. Best Futoshiki app I’ve found.

### 4/5 — Nice app but needs to remove pencil marks automatically

*2020-04-14, version 2.7*

This has a nice interface and is easy to use. I would like it to remove pencil marks automatically in the rest of the row and column when a cell is filled in.

### 4/5 — Enjoying The Game

*2020-03-19, version 2.7*

I read through the other reviews before writing this one. I agree with the players who say they wish the app would automatically erase pencil marks for any number whose correct location has been found and entered. It’s kind of a useless time effort to go through and erase those now erroneous pencil marks. I feel that the reply you’ve been giving them doesn’t actually address what we’re asking for. Thank you again for a great number puzzle though. I’m loving it.

### 4/5 — Good

*2020-03-11, version 2.7*

I like the game. It’s a bit irritating when you accidentally press the wrong row of buttons and it gives you an error. But other than that, I’m a bit addicted.

### 5/5 — Great Variation on Sudoku

*2020-01-11, version 2.7*

This is a terrific game providing hours of game play. I would pay to have a save feature and a check feature. If you like sudoku, you should definitely try this.

Update: I find myself playing this game so often I paid to remove ads even though the ads didn’t bother me. I just felt like I owed something to the developers.

If I could make one suggestion for improvement it would be to change the error buzzer sound to something that wouldn’t scare the bejeezus out of me when I forget to turn the volume down. I don’t make a lot of mistakes but DO occasionally hit the wrong button.

### 4/5 — Good game. Needs to save.

*2019-12-29, version 2.7*

Great logic game. Good interface. Except ads obliterate part of keys. A wee bit too pricey to remove ads AND unlock levels

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Nice game ruined by two flaws

*2023-12-03*

This is a nice game but I will be uninstalling due to two flaws. First, the full screen ads are so annoyingly intrusive that it is imposdible to enjoy the game unless you pay to remove ads. Second, the game is always asking me to submit a review, even after I have done so. Fix these problems and I will reinstall

**Developer response:** I am really sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with my app. If you contact me via the email address in the app, I can quickly solve the problems you are experiencing.

### 1/5 — Paid to have no ads but still seeing ads

*2020-06-29, version 2.7*

I enjoy the app and decided to pay $8 to have no ads. The money has been deducted from my account and I am still seeing ads. Not impressed and would like a refund.

### 1/5 — Very disappointed

*2019-04-07, version 2.2*

I enjoyed the game until ads started popping up on top of the numbers. The ads block the numbers making it impossible to play the game. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Please Fix

*2018-10-14, version 1.5*

This app is exactly what I was looking for, but unfortunately it is so very broken. Nothing is centered the way it’s supposed to be on screen so you cannot see half of anything. I have an iPhone 7+ so I’m not sure if this is happening because it hasn’t been optimized for my phone specifically or if the developer just stopped caring. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Pay twice for removing ads and getting the puzzles?

*2017-08-15, version 1.5*

No thank you!

And, I have not seen this level of shameful advertising in anything.

### 2/5 — Rip off to buy

*2020-11-09, version 2.7*

Have to pay twice to remove ads? Ads got worse once I paid.

### 2/5 — Great game

*2019-04-12, version 2.2*

I like it, but I wish the numbers would cancel out the pencil marks

### 3/5 — AJBT1

*2024-09-15, version 2.8.0*

Should I be able to find each number logically, or do I have to make intelligent guesses?

### 3/5 — Idiotic ad placement

*2021-02-11, version 2.7*

Idiotic ad placement covers the pause/settings area despite there being plenty of unused space at the bottom of the screen. It’s not game breaking but really tarnishes what is otherwise a good app.

It feels like the devs are trying to force people to pay for the ad free version.

### 3/5 — Can’t check answers

*2019-05-13, version 2.5.2*

I don’t like the fact that you can’t check to see if you made any mistakes. I also had a lot of difficulty sending this in. It took me well over 20 times before it would accept a nickname.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best version of Futoshiki

*2025-11-13, version 3.1.0*

This is by far the best version of Futoshiki on the app store. There are enough levels to present an excellent challenge and the presentation and mechanics of the game make for a very pleasurable gaming experience. Superb.

### 5/5 — Nicely presented and simple!

*2025-02-05, version 2.8.0*

After playing these puzzles in the daily newspaper it then found this app. The free version was quite generous, but after many years I returned to the app once again and purchased all the levels. Great value. Would have been nice if there was a deal to unlock all and also remove adds, but can’t grumble at a few quid for many hours of content.

### 5/5 — J’adore

*2024-07-13, version 2.8.0*

Bien fait! Avec les petites notes que l’on peut placer.
Par contre, ça serait bien que les notes s’´efface lorsqu’on place un gros chiffre.
Merci pour cette application

### 5/5 — Lots of challenging fun!

*2023-05-10*

Really enjoy this as an alternative to Sudoku. Different mind set, especially with the two variations. Different levels make it fun for anyone while options in puzzle size make it easy to select based on available time. Give it a try!

### 5/5 — Very Good design

*2022-10-31, version 2.7*

I've used many futoshiki apps
and THIS ONE is the BEST

### 5/5 — My favorite Futoshiki app

*2022-08-31, version 2.7*

Versions of this game are thin on the ground, but this one is the best. That said, I do have some gripes. First, it kills my phone battery. Even with no ads, it’ll go down 20% in 10 minutes which is ridiculous for such a simple app. Second, I like to play to calm down before bed, but if I make a mistake, the error sound makes me practically jump out of my skin. I wish it wasn’t so harsh so I could keep sounds on.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2022-08-23, version 2.7*

Only just discovered these puzzles and am loving them. Finding the easy levels seem to vary quite a bit in difficulty but that’s fine; good to get a tough one now and then. Like the option to put in draft numbers and agree with another reviewer it would be good to be able to choose whether you want the automatic flagging of errors to be on or off. Minor point though - overall I love this app!

### 5/5 — Terrific!

*2022-06-02, version 2.7*

This game is simple and fun. I’m surprised it’s not more popular!

### 5/5 — Really Good

*2022-04-02, version 2.7*

I’m thoroughly enjoying these puzzles, especially the more challenging ones. Great way to pass the time and exercise the brain cells.

### 5/5 — I love this game...best app for Futoshiko

*2022-02-14, version 2.7*

The app allows you to put either guesses or final answers which really helps. I’m getting better without entering guesses.
