I had to use Future Energy to charge at a Hilton Hotel, and let me make everyone aware: it has one of the worst charging and pay structures I've ever experienced. You pay for $20 in credits, that you then use to pay for charging, and that are non-refundable. The setup was a nightmare compared to similar services. I would advise people to also avoid hotels that use this disreputable company.

We also want to clarify that the credit-based option isn’t required to charge. That said, it’s clear we haven’t made that obvious enough in the app, and we’re actively working to improve the user experience so payment options are clearer and more straightforward.

### 1/5 — Why do I have to add a balance before charging?

This is a dumb money grab. They’re perfectly capable of just charging my card directly because they’ll do it in the event of an overage. Just a poor business method.
