The app has a decent concept, but the execution is poor. It feels clunky and outdated, and several core features don’t work as expected. The bookings section is particularly frustrating—it only shows tee bookings for vouchers, with no way to see all your bookings in one place. Event bookings aren’t visible at all, so you’re forced to rely on emails or hunt through event pages just to check what you’ve booked. Badges are rarely up to date, and the leaderboard doesn’t show any results, which makes these features feel broken and neglected. Overall, the app lacks polish and reliability and doesn’t feel fit for purpose. It really needs a serious refresh to be useful ### 2/5 — Usability & Delayed Response For Assistance *2026-03-18* I’ve found the app quite clunky to use, where I’ve experienced issues upon check in at the pro-shop after having booked through the app. It doesn’t appear on their system. I’ve then had to pay for the round. Also experiencing very long response times (if at all) to requests for assistance via the support email address. ### 2/5 — So many bugs *2026-01-31* That apps concept and what it offers is great but I couldn’t log a handicap score because of a bug so I deleted the app and reinstalled it. From there was another bug that was preventing me from logging in and when I went to file a complaint, the drop down menu for the complaint section wouldn’t work so I couldn’t even do that. I never leave reviews but I’m frustrated that this app has not worked on so many fronts. Please sort your stuff out. ### 1/5 — Worst effing app *2025-08-26, version 2.0.0* Worst effing service. I’m leaving the membership mostly because of these infuriating issues. Twice now they have broken my golflink number when trying to link it to my gsm account. On top of that, the booking process varies from course to course, which makes the whole system quite confusing. The more popular courses are almost always fully booked. It honestly feels like I’m paying for a membership that I can’t even use." ### 1/5 — App crashes *2026-06-07* This is a fantastic idea if executed well the problem is for every round I have played the app has crashed in some way shape or form. It is clunky and buggy, I have caught myself being frustrated to the point of asking for a refund cause of this. Fix the app and it will be a far better experience and value. ### 1/5 — Borderline unusable *2026-06-07* The Future Golf app has been a major disappointment since signing up. The member benefits are good, but the app itself is so buggy and poorly designed that it seriously undermines the whole experience. After around a dozen rounds, not a single one has worked properly. The app constantly crashes, logs you out, forces tutorials to replay, loses scores, and makes live scoring almost unusable. Joining matches regularly throws errors, hole navigation breaks, and some partner courses don’t even show available tee times without contacting support. On top of the bugs, the app feels cluttered and confusing for new users. Basic functions like setting up handicap rounds, using vouchers, and managing incomplete rounds are unclear or impossible to fix once started. Unless there are major improvements soon, there’s no chance I’ll renew next year. ### 1/5 — App useless - tee times impossible to find. Unless you’re retired / can golf mid week, I’d pass *2026-04-15* Initially really liked the app. Easy to use, relatively easy to find tee times Recent updates and an influx of subscribers creating a demand far greater than the supply have ruined it. Functionally - when viewing a courses tee times, navigating back takes me all the way to the top of the list of courses. Are there actually way less tee times being offered to FG members by the courses? Or are there just far too many members for the tee times FG gets access to? Anyway, reeks of greedy management thinking about maximising the subscriber base without considering / caring about maintaining the quality that brought people here (and made it worth the money) in the first place. If you’re retired and can travel all around the state playing rounds mid-week, you’ll love this. If you’re not, I’d steer clear. Can’t see myself renewing unless the discount they offer this year is substantial. ### 1/5 — FIX YOUR APP *2025-12-26* You guys love to promote this app a lot on Instagram and Facebook talking how good it is once you join up and all the perks that come with it. But the app itself is so bugged and takes too long to load or even type one word. I won’t be using this app anymore because it is unreliable and a scam. ### 1/5 — Horrific App *2025-10-27* Constantly breaks. Have to delete and re download. Have been emailing support to assist with the app erroring when trying to load. Ontop of this - Future Golf has drastically gone downhill in value for money for weekend golf around Metro Melbourne. When I first joint it was great. Now there’s a handful of 18 hole courses able to play on the weekend without driving more than 1hr. Tee times for main draw cards are always fully booked. Not worth it anymore. ### 1/5 — Is it just me? *2025-10-09* Now trying the app on a new 17ProMax, and once again, I get nothing but the blue loading page. Between this and website being error laden, I have no faith in the product. Since then I have had endless issues with the app where now I can no longer book a round in QLD as the app doesn’t recognise my location. No Drummond Golf voucher received and despite submitting social rounds, no handicap has been provided. The support from Future Golf is a disgrace. Happy to take my money but then leave you high and dry.
