### 3/5 — Amazing App, Bit Too Pricey

*2026-07-29, version 2026.13*

This app is great if you have the money for it. It is wonderful for consistency and accountability. The workouts are well-structured and easy to follow. It’s a really great comprehensive interface. I wish I could use it to make my own workouts.

It’s not really accessible to those on a lower or fixed income, though. Once again, wellness is gate-kept by the well-off. If there were some kind of option to be able to use the interface without a trainer, I’d absolutely go for it. I don’t think it would keep people from using the human trainer aspect. There’s nothing that will beat that one-on-one custom-tailored training, workouts, and accountabili-buddy that they offer. Not even AI. The trainers are all well-vetted and know their stuff. Many have advanced degrees in their field and extremely extensive experience. All are completely human. For someone that can afford it, I’d say this is a better option than whatever your gym or any other app will offer you.

For those that can’t afford it, I’d love to see Future have at least access to the workout environment. It doesn’t have to be AI. Maybe there could be some kind of educational aspect as well to empower people to create their own workouts. This interface seems like it would be great for people wanting to build their own programs. It would absolutely beat the notebook-and-pen system which I’ve found is better than any of the other workout-building apps out there. Even if Future offered workout-building access with the requirement of working with a trainer for 3-6 months at the full price then dropping it down to those that don’t want to continue with a trainer, it would be better than what they do now, which is cut off all access to your previous workouts, knowledge base, and history once you stop shelling out dough.

This app could be truly great for people.

TLDR; The trainers are the best and AI won’t replace the personal attention you get but it’s just too expensive to be sustainable. I wish you could access the workout builder for personal use at a lower monthly price like $30-50 or something.

### 3/5 — Great coaching, meh app

*2026-06-06, version 2026.6*

My coach, Amber, has been great for me. She’s supportive and has helped me grow in my fitness and work through and injury. Her availability for help and sending videos is top notch.

However, the app is limiting. 2 simple examples: I had a shoulder injury- you cannot have different weight for right and left sided workouts, on runs there’s no cue to let you know when you’re at the 1/2 way mark, etc.
for top pricing of the virtual coaching, it would be nice if they’d invest in better IT support

### 2/5 — Continued App Issues

*2026-05-27, version 2026.5*

The Bluetooth bugs have been going on for two months. Either fix it or lose customers.

### 3/5 — Love my coach

*2026-05-26, version 2026.5*

Love my coach, this app has serious limitations great for beginners, but not for those that want to track other matrix. It does not let you control your data and doesn’t let you see your data as a whole. I’ve been with them for a year and a half and I have no idea Mike progression.

### 2/5 — Great but Bluetooth bugs

*2026-05-25, version 2026.5*

This app has awesome personal trainers! My issue is that there is always connection issues with Apple Watches and AirPods. I just wish the app would have less bugs.

### 5/5 — Engagement with coach is awesome!

*2026-05-05, version 2026.3*

I thought my coach would check in every few weeks or something. Instead he is engaged with my travel schedule, work load, and knee issues and adjusts my workouts to exactly what I need that week. And he laughs at my jokes 😏

### 2/5 — Great trainer, app gets worse and worse

*2026-05-05, version 2026.3*

The app was pretty stable for me for several years but in the last few months a bug was introduced that makes my unscheduled workouts no longer save despite being tracked in app (so I lose all my heart rate data), and annoyingly in yesterday’s update the accessibility settings have been overwritten, leaving me impossibly tiny text that used to get scaled up like all apps on my phone, but looks like someone hard coded chat to stay small sized and as most of your clientele is over 40, this is a really dumb decision!

### 5/5 — Future changed my life!!

*2026-05-01, version 2026.2.3*

When you’re trying to reach a goal and can’t seem to accomplish it, you’re often missing a key ingredient: A COACH! Whether it’s for business, nutrition, fitness, relationship, or any area of personal growth A COACH helps layout the plan, holds accountability, and literally coaches through the emotional ups and downs. And it’s in the ups and downs where FUTURE has changed my life. Personal training has always made a huge difference in my fitness journey but most people can’t afford to pay a personal trainer for every workout. FUTURE bridges that gap. Providing a personal trainer, at an affordable cost, along with all the features of the APP, has helped me maintain a consistent fitness routine for nearly 18 months now. And the key for me has been all the times I fell off the horse and COACH RYAN coached me back on the horse every time. FUTURE + COACH RYAN = GAINS I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED BUT NEVER ACHIEVED UNTIL
NOW!

### 4/5 — Watch app is buggy

*2026-04-29, version 2026.2.3*

The app is great overall, but the last few iterations of it made the watch app a bulit buggy and difficult to use. When you tap to move to new exercises, sometimes it simply doesn’t work and you need to unlock your phone to continue. When you report bugs, their team takes ages to answer and usually the problem doesn’t really get fixed.

### 5/5 — Great personal training; buggy app

*2026-04-24, version 2026.2.3*

Have been using future for many years know and the trainers and programming are excellent.

The app goes through periods of being very buggy though. Right now it is causing AirPods to disconnect randomly during workouts, disrupting music and making the experience practically unusable. Given AI coding tools I would expect faster resolution of issues.

### 5/5 — Such a great fitness app

*2026-04-24, version 2026.2.3*

After years of in person Bootcamp classes the pandemic hit and I had to try something else. So I got subscriptions to Peloton and Obé and while both are great apps, I hated being called “hustler” and all the other jargon that went along with peloton and then just couldn’t commit to a schedule with Obé. I was commuted to finding a personal trainer, like an in person personal trainer, when I came across Future. I absolutely love the interface and my coach, Laura, who texts me, checks in on me after workouts and makes sure I get my workout DONE! Accountability is important for me in working out and this app and it’s coach provides me with that!!

### 2/5 — Expensive yet missing many features

*2026-03-22, version 2026.2*

Unable to see muscles worked during exercises, limited exercise selection and inability to jump to the next non-started if I have to change the order.

### 2/5 — Great concept but frequent turnover and glitches

*2026-03-18, version 2026.1*

I’ve been using this for 3 plus years consistently. While the app updates have been good, the subscription price increases, recurring glitches that don’t get corrected for months, and coach turnover is a bit frustrating.

### 4/5 — Great for Accountability & Instruction - $200 is too high

*2026-03-17, version 2026.1*

I’m on month 6 of using this app and my trainer has provided me with clear instructions and programmed exercises that I’ve never done before. This is a great app for anyone who needs accountability and for who wants more structure with their a workout plan. For me, I don’t need the accountability and I felt I learned everything I could have from the app. I met with my PT 1x a month and she sent me messages daily.

I decided this will be my last month and I am creating my own plan based off the information I learned. It’s a high ticket price of $200 a month which is why I gave It a 4 star. I don’t feel it’s worth that high, I would say $100 matches the value you receive.

If you’re starting out or getting back to working out, it’s worth It. But after that, you can do the programming yourself for free or little money.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app did not help

*2026-07-22, version 2026.12*

I’ve been a member of future for two years. I’ve been having post complications from an injury from a car accident. I came to future to address my lower back issue and fix my fitness. My plan was filled with bs workouts and I spent more money doing workouts that reinforced my pain.
$199 is too much money to be spending to not be heard.
I will not be returning to this app unless they give me a partial refund for the 6 months I spent having bs workouts. This app is a joke.

### 1/5 — Longtime User

*2026-07-21, version 2026.12*

I’ve been a member for about 2yrs. Love my trainer but the app, as of late, doesn’t work. I have to delete, reload, repair for the app to play. This has been going on for about 3 weeks. For a premium app that is costly, it should work without issue,

### 1/5 — AirPods disconnect when iPhone and Apple Watch are used

*2026-06-03, version 2026.6*

I like the app overall however, the AirPods tend to disconnect often in the middle of a workout when iPhone and Apple Watch are used simultaneously. This only occurs when using this app. It’s extremely annoying and almost has made me stop using it. Used it for five months it’s great, but the UI could be better for the money you pay.

### 1/5 — Bluetooth not working correctly

*2026-04-30, version 2026.2.3*

Since this last update my headphones now disconnect and reconnect in rapid succession, this pauses my workout over and over. Please fix this and patch Bluetooth issues!

### 1/5 — This is a scam

*2026-04-26, version 2026.2.3*

Do NOT sign up for this or give your credit card. It is extremely difficult to cancel. I tried several times and was still charged.

### 1/5 — weight history not loading

*2026-04-19, version 2026.2.2*

this issue persists for months and I reached out multiple times to no solution

### 1/5 — Scam company

*2026-02-09, version 2026.0*

They keep trying to charge my card after, I’ve canceled and they give you no way to contact them other than email. You can’t even get into your account.

### 1/5 — Stole my money

*2026-02-02, version 2025.27*

I thought I’d try this so I did what I always do and I signed up for the subscription and then I canceled it immediately because I don’t like things to come out of my account unexpectedly. The subscription was canceled the exact same day that I signed up for it. And they still took $199 out of my account and there’s no way to get a hold of somebody so that this could be correct.

### 1/5 — Bilked even though I cancelled

*2026-01-17, version 2025.27*

I submitted a request to cancel through the help feature in the app because there is no other contact information provided but I was billed anyway.

### 1/5 — Disappointed- generic feedback, coaches just copy-paste chat gpt

*2025-12-19, version 2025.26.2*

I used Future for several months with one coach and then switched to another, but unfortunately, I am disappointed and will not be continuing.

The in-workout voice cues were generic and never evolved. Despite repeated requests for exercise-specific feedback based on my actual performance, I heard the same basic instructions week after week. There was no sense that my workouts were being actively coached in real time. In face, one of the paragraphs sent to me before th holidays was very clearly copy pasted from Chat GPT- with the emojis, no less.

Most guidance was pushed into the chat, which is impractical to check mid-workout- I would have to pause workout, go to the cha section, and scroll until I find the guidance for that specific workout. Every single time.
More concerning, my first coach prescribed unsafe programming. For example, after weeks of doing dumbbell chest presses with 15-20 lb dumbbells, I was suddenly instructed to do a barbell bench press at 55 lbs without a spotter. I could barely lift the bar, and it could easily have fallen on my ribs if my husband hadnt been there to help me. That made me seriously question the trainers on this app- what exactly am I paying for here?

For an app that markets itself as personalized coaching, the experience felt static, inattentive, and frankly careless.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nicole is the best!

*2026-07-30, version 2026.13*

Got me out of a multi decade workout funk🙌🏻

### 5/5 — Kaya is amazing

*2026-07-26, version 2026.13*

❤️ my coach Kaya so much. I have been with her almost 3 years and she knows exactly how to personalize my workouts and meet my changing needs and schedule. And I have never had an injury with her. Yahoo!

### 5/5 — Perfect for those with a home gym, but in need of a little bit of guidance

*2026-07-18, version 2026.12*

I used to prefer to go to the gym and work out, but over the years I’ve become more of a homebody. I built up a decent home gym, but really didn’t have a clear plan as to what I was going to do for my strength training. This app is perfect for me for someone who has a lot of tools at home for lifting but needed some guidance to make sure I was targeting all the right muscle groups consistently. The coaches (I’ve had 3) are great and I’ve been with the app for a number of years. I don’t plan on leaving the app because I know if I continue to stick to the game plan I will see the results that I want.

### 5/5 — What I needed!

*2026-06-18, version 2026.7*

I’ve had 4 kids with having two of them in within two years. I needed a way to stay consistent with my workouts and have the accountability without the crazy costs. Future Pro has changed everything for me. I’ve been using this app for the last 5 years and I’ve never looked or felt as strong as I do and now I’m in my 40s. I work out with my trainer on MY SCHEDULE and it has been amazing.

### 5/5 — MBR

*2026-05-27, version 2026.5*

Great app and love the trainers. Like anything you put in the work you'll love the format. Trainers are responsive to my needs and will listen to your goals!!

### 5/5 — ✨Magic✨

*2026-05-26, version 2026.5*

I NEVER do reviews … EVER. They’re so annoying lol BUT my love of Future app leaves me with no choice 😆 I am lazy. Unmotivated. ALL the things that make working out a NIGHTMARE. You name it… I got it lol 🥴 BUT with the Future app and my AMAZING Coach, they take all the guess work out of working out. I’ll I have to do is show up and shut up and get it done. Over 5 years (and counting )in and still going strong. THANK YOU FUTURE APP

### 5/5 — Grateful for Future

*2026-05-26, version 2026.5*

1 month of meal prepping and training with Future and I lost 5 lbs. I have struggled trying to lose the last 10 lbs for almost 8 months on my own and the progress I’ve made with Future in 1 month is something I am extremely grateful for. 10/10 recommend training with Future 🤍

### 5/5 — Transformed my life

*2026-05-22, version 2026.5*

I’ve been using Future for 5 or 6 years and no other form of exercise, let alone another fitness app (I’ve tried them all), has stuck and or so profoundly changed my inertia with physical activity. My coach right now, Anna Foley, is as important a part of my life as my therapist and PCP. She’s helped me through cancer and depression and menopause and all kinds of other ups and downs. I hear from her almost every day. She knows my partner’s name, my work sched, my pets, my hobbies, my dreams, my tells and pitfalls and, most importantly, the secret sauce that actually gets me moving. I live in a rural area so I have limited access to trainers and gyms — but even my friends in Manhattan are on Future now bc they’ve seen the quality and outcomes I’ve achieved through the app. It is worth every penny. $200 a month for a true personal coach?!! An incredible deal. The price of three sessions per month of an IRL trainer. I hear from Anna 20 times a month. Everyone knows by now that consistency is the key to real transformation. Future — and Anna — have unlocked it for me and added years to my life.

### 5/5 — Great experience

*2026-05-16, version 2026.4*

I want to leave a review on Dew my Trainer. He has been so incredibly responsive and taught me so much in a short period of time and taken a 45-year-old guy that just lifted weights and turned me into somebody that technique and understanding of range of motion.

Dew time and attention to reply to my messages and watch my videos on a daily basis has been incredible and worth every penny.

### 5/5 — Best personal trainer ever!

*2026-05-15, version 2026.4*

I have worked with many personal trainers and fitness apps but Future gives you the best of personal training in a way that works for my life. My trainer, Kelsey, is the best I’ve ever worked with and I get the most personalized workouts. We interact all the time that I feel she’s always there coaching me. I love the Future experience and recommend it to everyone.
