There’s a form that will pop up an error message. To the UX Designer: When I’m on a trip, the chat is the most important part of this app and it’s annoying to have to click Chat from the nav, then pick the active chat from a list. Also, all the photos shared get deleted within a day without warning. Beyond some basic information and a chat message showing the number of people on your tour (and their names), the app isn’t reliable and frequently changes information. You’d think a company like G would have it together by now, especially when travelers expect accurate, accessible information right at their fingertips. ### 1/5 — 10 yrs never worked *2025-06-13, version 4.10.5* I’ve done multiple G trips these past 10 years and each time I download the app hoping maybe THIS TIME FINALLY it will work, but nope. Uploaded the latest version on Sept. 13, 2024 - and still it is of little use. The upcoming trips you are booked on do not show up at all. I keep getting added to a group chat for a trip I’m not on. Future trips should not transfer you to the web. The CEO should be added 10+ days before the trip to allow for communication. Kinda confused as to why there is an app (or what it actually does) but if this app does do something I'd adjust the rating. There’s many many options for widely used chat systems that provide plenty of privacy safeguards. You can’t edit anything after the fact. When I tried to send an inquiry about it within the app, the drop-down menu for the subject didn’t work, and it wouldn’t send the help request without it. When I tried to delete my account to start over, twice, the request was ignored and I’m still a sitting duck. The interface is easy to navigate and lists relevant information all in one place, including your trip’s itinerary, vouchers and your flights. I just wish the optional activities were broken out for each day. ### 5/5 — Everything in one place *2025-02-18, version 4.9.6* This app is super handy. It has all my travel details and documents, packing lists and flight info. Best of all is the currency calculator which is super handy. The app works perfect, and even has info that the online website doesn’t have so I recommend downloading for the additional features. For ex, the mobile app will show the exact calendar dates of your itinerary instead of just “day 1, etc”. It also has really visually appealing and functional visa info, maps, packing list, and more about your trip itinerary. One of the best features is the Itinerary so you can see what the actual date is for say, Day 6 of trip. I see there have been lots of revisions lately (summer of 2016). There is a place in the app to report crashes (when some maps open) and to request new features. I was panicking on not know what to pack, what was going to happen day by day out there and if I needed extra money for little day trips. The app gives you a list of primary things you should take, the app also gives you a breakdown to the hour of what happens during that day & if there any activities to go on and also a map of where you are going on that day. It's a wonderful app and a MUST HAVE for anyone with a tour with G Adventures. ### 4/5 — Worked great! *2023-08-09, version 4.6.6* I used this app when travelling Iceland and I found no major issues. In the past, it has been buggy, but I believe most of the problems have now been resolved.
