### 4/5 — Very nice but

*2024-09-13, version 1.3*

Another game where protagonist wakes up after being in some kind of institution with amnesia.

### 4/5 — Grammar check

*2020-01-25, version 1.2.2*

Why is this game if the day? It came out years ago.

Old review: Decent puzzle game. The ending falls short because of sloppy editing. “there is no exceptions” should’ve been “there are no exceptions.” Or “there is no exception.” I know. It’s a stupid thing to comment on. Otherwise, the game is an interesting method for raising awareness.

### 4/5 — Really cool game

*2019-12-01, version 1.2.2*

Enjoyable experience

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2019-07-13, version 1.2.1*

Powerful story! Really good puzzles and a great double story imbedded into it! Loved it!

### 5/5 — Amazing, new way of thinking

*2019-07-05, version 1.2.1*

Very good logical game for kids and adults

### 3/5 — Flawed

*2019-07-04, version 1.2.1*

At times it becomes quite frustrating when there is no apparent answer to the puzzle. It’s also extremely frustrating when it’s impossible to go back and fill in some of the words you missed in a previous level; I made the mistake of trying to do this and was unable to return to where I left off. I had to restart the entire game and lost my progress, which was INCREDIBLY ANNOYING. But the one thing I would beg the developers to improve about this game is the godawful grammar. For a game that relies largely on words, you really should get this part right. It reads like it was done by a non-native English speaker. Hire an editor!

### 5/5 — Cool!

*2019-07-04, version 1.2.1*

Just very cool and interesting game!!!

### 5/5 — G30

*2019-06-28, version 1.2.1*

У цій грі прекрасно все! І навіть відсутність расєйського язіка. Молодці! Респект!

### 5/5 — Muy bien chicos

*2019-06-15, version 1.2.1*

Es un juego desafiante pero divertido con un final inesperado

### 5/5 — Stunning and addictive

*2019-05-21, version 1.2*

Truly stunning game. The music is immersive and the puzzles are addictive. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Love this game!

*2019-05-19, version 1.2*

I love playing this game. Lots of fun and will buy more from this developer!

### 5/5 — Almost inspiring

*2019-02-27, version 1.1.1*

First app review but this game is weirdly witty

### 5/5 — Dope

*2019-02-12, version 1.1.1*

Yup

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2019-01-26, version 1.1.1*

What an elegant game. Intriguing story, cleverly assembled and beautifully presented. Although the English is slightly odd, it seems to me that this is deliberate, to fit the style of the story.

Update - having completed it, it’s all the more remarkable and poignant. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Brilliant execution of a challenging idea

*2019-01-10, version 1.1.1*

How do you replicate the fractured world of someone with memory loss in puzzle form? Well, like this. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better marriage of game mechanics and subject matter. As you work through the puzzles, watching words appear and disappear, you search for meaning; yet, as soon as you think you have grasped the story, it becomes a different story altogether. It’s incredibly empathetic, and I defy anyone with a soul to not experience a sense of the frustration and anxiety of not...quite...knowing who you are, and whether the pieces of your memory are even real. I get that doesn’t make it sound very appealing as a game, but it is, and a very positive experience overall.

### 3/5 — It’s okay

*2018-12-28, version 1.1.1*

The graphics are really beautiful and the story is captivating. The music is very nice as well. However, the actual puzzle part of the game is lacking in my opinion...I feel like I’m just turning things randomly, hoping for more words to appear. I don’t do any thinking, more just guess and check. So in regards to gameplay, I’m just not that into it and I don’t see myself wanting to play more. If it was free, I probably would have deleted it already but I feel committed after paying.

### 5/5 — Beautiful game

*2018-12-19, version 1.1*

The game has a message at the end that really shook me. The puzzles themselves are engaging and beautiful. You’re left confused for most of the puzzles and very frustrated. Sentences keep changing as do the pictures. You can’t quite remember where you left off or what turn did what...and then you finish and realize it was all supposed to be like that. I highly recommend you play it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Way too short

*2020-01-06, version 1.2.2*

There was like 5 puzzles. Not worth the money

### 1/5 — What a waste of money

*2018-11-21, version 1.0.3*

Downloaded the app. After the intro screen, all I get is a never ending loading screen. Tried contacting the publishers twice through App Support and still no response.

### 1/5 — Another regretful “puzzle” game

*2018-05-20, version 1.0*

Boring, unimaginative, non rewarding.

### 2/5 — What am I missing?

*2020-01-03, version 1.2.2*

Can you even call this a game? You spin the design around until it matches a predetermined shape which unlocks some sort of very poetic hard to follow text story. It’s incredibly repetitive. I don’t get it. Little to no direction while playing makes it even more boring. What is my goal? What is the point?

### 2/5 — Eh

*2018-11-28, version 1.0.3*

It’s a good game overall but very hard at times something I would suggest is a hint system and not of the cryptic sort. right now I cannot get past the fountain level as for I have gone with the logic I used on the other levels does not work the logic I used was “make the thing look like the starting word

### 2/5 — Busy work

*2018-06-06, version 1.0.1*

Sort of a graphical version of password hacking. This seems really lame to me.

### 2/5 — It turns into a glorified Rubix Cube

*2018-06-06, version 1.0.1*

The beginning of the game is interesting and it feels like it’s teaching you how to play it. Then it seems to just turn into a Rubix Cube (if you move this it moves that) except it’s unclear what the final “picture” is supposed to be. I tried to follow the clues in the text but it wasn’t very helpful. I’ll probably never finish it. If I wanted to solve a Rubix Cube I would’ve done it in 1980.

### 2/5 — Pretty, but not very fun

*2018-06-05, version 1.0.1*

I’ve seen a lot of these stylish “contemplative” games, and they all seem to end up feeling more like a chore than a source of enjoyment. This one is okay, but quickly lost my interest. Not worth the price

### 2/5 — Charming Puzzle game / Battery killer

*2018-05-24, version 1.0.1*

Which looks amazing on an iPhone X
However the battery depletes at an alarming rate and the back of the phone gets quite warm whilst playing...!!

I’m running the latest version and only hope another future update will solve the problem
Certainly worthy of 5 Stars if this issue is fixed
But until then will just be in a folder awaiting an update hopefully sooner than later

Also played the first level several times but still missing a word right at the end to complete the first part of the Story..?

**Developer response:** Thanks for playing the game!
Glad you enjoyed the style and hope you could give the game itself some more time - it actually gets challenging and more and more complicated with each level.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Puzzle game

*2024-04-28, version 1.3*

It’s quite hard when you start but when you touch it you can not stop solving it.

### 5/5 — An actually magical experience

*2024-01-26, version 1.3*

Gameplay is perfectly simple, but the way it moves a central narrative forward and builds on previous ideas is nothing short of magical.

What a brilliant game.

### 5/5 — :)

*2022-12-18, version 1.3*

Trippy game, not your average app
Effort went into this

### 5/5 — Need to urgent update

*2021-04-12, version 1.2.2*

Pls add full support to 12 inch iPad Pro screens

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2020-12-21, version 1.2.2*

It has some great gameplay and relaxing music. So far I've been through 10 levels and they all were great to play

### 5/5 — Worthy, melancholic.

*2019-11-04, version 1.2.1*

A unique, occasionally challenging puzzle style and aesthetic provide a slow, confusing story that resolves into something both more and less.

### 5/5 — A masterclass in storytelling

*2019-10-11, version 1.2.1*

I struggle to describe how amazing and unique this game is. It transports you into the mind of a mentally ill person trying to make sense around them. It’s hypnotic, all-consuming, an absolute gem of game design and experience you’ll likely never forget.

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2019-08-19, version 1.2.1*

I have never played mobile games before as I though it’s just waste of time. Although this game is not the case! Amazing idea, implementation and I had really nice time playing this game. It’s almost meditation! Don’t try to play it in public transport, you’ll miss all the atmosphere. Better to be played at home on couch with just you and you headphones!
The only thing which i would add is some hints as for final figures, sometimes I had bad times understanding how final figure should look like for puzzle to be resolved.

### 5/5 — The game of my life

*2019-08-02, version 1.2.1*

The very game I longed for so long

### 5/5 — Not only an incredible game, but an incredible experience.

*2019-08-01, version 1.2.1*

This is the rare game that truly takes you into its world with all of your mind. Often, a puzzle game will claim to have an underlying plot, when in reality the plot is totally unrelated to the game and serves only as a distraction. This game is not like that. The puzzles *are* the plot, and they tell the story without the need for the player to ever take their mind away from the puzzle. The story itself is incredible, eschewing the traditional Western narrative structure in favor of a looping, ambient format which largely original, at least in my own experience, and which fits the tone of the game as if they were made for each other, which of course they were.
The gameplay is just as incredible, playing out in multiple layers simultaneously, with levels looping back on themselves, and a perfect difficulty gradient which kept me from ever feeling as if it was either too easy or too hard.
This is the needle in a haystack. This is a truly amazing game and a truly amazing journey, and I am so glad I discovered it.
