My Visa card would not work on the app. The app told me to contact my bank. My bank told me it was not their problem it was an issue with Visa and European anti fraud measures. I was able to get it to work with a Mastercard. I wish there was a way to reserve the car with one card and pay the driver with another. That would solve the problem since the driver’s device uses the chip reader. Or G7 tech support can get with Visa Tech support and they can solve this known issue. Driver arrived a few minutes early, loaded my bags for me, and I arrived happy and calm for my international flight. I did have to use a Mastercard instead of my Visa as there was a verification error that kept popping up with the Visa. ### 5/5 — Excellent *2026-05-29, version 10.16.0* We used the G7 Taxis more than a dozen times on our recent trip to Paris. The drivers are professional and the car’s high end and spotlessly clean. The app was a great help and removed the stress if trying to chose a safe and good. Company and its automatically debited after your journey - so no worrying about having enough cash on you. The rates are fair. The driver was on time which I was very happy about and he drove safely. The problem was that the meter in the cab read 72 euros, but my account was charged 89. Euros. It was easy to book exactly what we needed and vehicles were always available, even wheelchair vans. Guess what? I had already done that and I got the same response as everybody else: the G7 developer blamed Visa and/or my bank. Despite the dozens (hundreds?) similar complaints from potential users. Despite the fact that all the complaints point out that the G7 app is the only one with that "3D failure" problem! Why doesn't the G7 developer talk to Visa himself??? ORIGINAL REVIEW: The app will accept all your American Visa card information in the settings. It's only at the last minute when you desperately need your taxi that it kicks you out because of "3D failure". Don't bother writing to their help line, their response is to blame Visa, even though the G7 app is the ONLY ONE that returns this error message in France. ### 1/5 — Would not authorize payment *2026-07-20, version 10.18.1* I added my credit card for payment and it was verified, but every time I went to use the app, I was unable to hail a cab due to some issue with my card. American paying with Barclays, my family had the same issue. Uber worked fine. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-06-26, version 10.17.1* Driver asked me to take another cab, and app apparently cancelled and charged me full fair. ### 1/5 — G7 scam *2026-06-22, version 10.17.1* Yesterday I had a horrible encounter in Paris at Gare de Lyon I went to the Taxi stand and was pointed towards the next Taxi, which was G7. I said I wanna go to CDG airport taxi driver told me €65 as you are on the right Bank I said no I’m not. I’m on the left Bank. I’m not some idiot tourist I’ve been to the city before I know it’s €56 to the airport. He told me I didn’t know I didn’t know what I was talking about and it would be €65 or get out of his Taxi. So to all fellow North Americans do not use this app. Do not use G7. They are scam artists and they will get you. ### 1/5 — Worse app and service ever *2026-06-22, version 10.17.0* The taxi ordered never came the driver to assigned told me he never got the order . Asked him to cancel the ride he said I had to do it waited more than 27 minutes to talk to someone and got cut off. And they charged me 75 euros instead of the 63 i agreed. Now I cannot get reimbursed The WORSE TAXI COMPANY ### 1/5 — Registered and validated payment but could not use *2026-06-15, version 10.17.0* As so many others have reported, the payment system would not work when I went to actually make a booking. This despite even having international travel cards (Revolut and Wise), not just my regular US CC. Registering went fine, it validated my Revolut card (even had to go to Revolut to approve this), but then when I went to make a booking, I could not get the payment to validate with that previously validated card. Like everyone else is reporting. So - this app is unfortunately a waste of time. Ended up booking a more expensive private airport transfer. ### 1/5 — 3D security fails *2026-06-08, version 10.16.0* As other reviewers have recently mentioned, I also had two different credit cards fail with a message to call my bank. When I checked with my bank, I was told that the 3 digit security code was incorrect but I had entered it correctly for each card. Ended up having to use Uber. We scheduled the night before for a pickup for our flight out the next morning early and they arrived a few minutes early! The gentleman loaded our bags with more care than we would load ourselves. He also confirmed the gate for us as we don’t live in France, and he also gave us tips on where to go once instead.
