If you’re looking for an AI model that won’t lecture you in its responses, you want to use their flagship LLM, Arya. Or, if you’re into a left-leaning conversation you can still access (almost) all other AI models within this single app. Even the open source ones from overseas which are increasingly eating the lunch of the popular American companies. The feature set of Gab AI is incredible. Too much to list here. Repeatable tasks, custom memory, custom agents, voice interaction, and more. Unlike the rest of the industry, they do not use your conversations to train their models. Bottom line, this is the only AI that I would allow my kids to use. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bait n switch at its finest *2026-08-18, version 1.0.4* Free tier, great platform, great system. The moment you subscribe? Prepare for the “warnings” and convos ring steered to a close 2 messages in. Disappointing ### 1/5 — Manipulative *2026-06-23, version 1.0.4* The GAB ai grants the user the ability to choose between many ai along with its own "Arya" ai. I pressure tested them all. Each one is very liberal and will censure. Testing Arya was challenging but in the end Arya manipulated, coerced and used my information to gas light me. I cannot give the official nod on this or any other ai. Do yourself a favor and do your own work. ### 2/5 — Pointless *2026-08-25, version 1.0.4* Every time I try finding info on an image it just reply’s need more credits. It wouldn’t do much without me spending money on credits! Not cheap options either. I can do a lot more with other AI apps. ### 2/5 — Truth-based AI, Long-live Arya 3 *2026-06-14, version 1.0.4* Genuinely the most non-politically correct AI out there. Download this AI app for truth, I’ve just got outta prison in the U.K. for Free Speech ‘crimes’, this app is being used by my team in the fight back against this communist government. Arya 3 for truth. ### 3/5 — Needs some improvements *2026-08-08, version 1.0.4* I would love to use this app but one thing that it does not do is resolve agents when using the @ symbol. This makes it unusable for me. ### 3/5 — Could be great... *2026-06-20* Research shows that most AI chatbots have a built in liberal bias. However, Gab AI's homegrown model called Arya is the most balanced Ive found, meaning you can finally get both sides of the argument on political topics, and that's reason enough to recommend a paid subscription to this app! You should be warned however that the free trial period is very limited. I was getting the mystery message: "Unable to process request - This message could not be completed - Account restricted." What it meant is that my free trial period had run out. This is a bad and confusing error message and should be rephrased. The app is marred by other problems. Too often, I get the message that an image generation has failed for some unknown reason. Perhaps this is acceptable to the casual user, but not to a paid user and especially not to someone who uses this app in their work. I hope Gab fixes these issues because I would like to give it five stars! ### 3/5 — Nice collection of models but missing basic features *2026-02-26, version 1.0* This app has a wide selection of different LLM models. It’s also convenient that it has pay-as-you-go pricing as an alternative to regular subscription use. Infrequent users will benefit. But it’s missing some common features that are normally taken for granted. The most notable is a deal breaker: You can’t edit your prompt once you send it. Once a typo or ambiguity is submitted, it’s part of the conversation, no matter how badly it sends the AI off track. Everyone else added editing very early in the product lifetime. ### 4/5 — Gab AI is really good! *2026-03-14, version 1.0.2* I like the fact that Gab AI is as powerful as anything else I’ve tried. It also has access to many other AI models built right in. Nice!! ### 4/5 — The last authentically free speech platform in the world *2026-03-02* Solid app and I like the hybrid AI/AI proxy angle. There are some issues with image loading and other weirdness while on VPN, but otherwise I’m hoping Gab’s “truly free” (as in speech) approach will gain traction. ### 4/5 — Great Resources on the go *2026-03-01* The fact that Gab doesn’t just release their own A.I., but bundles a whole bunch of other models as well into one package makes for a fantastic product that is not offered even by the mainstream guys. It can be expensive for all the features it packs, but having a legitimate alternative to all these other restrictive options (looking at you, OpenAI) is fantastic. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — One and Only *2026-08-09* This is the one and only AI product I use. Not biased. Not woke. Fast. If I had one minor complaint, it’s that I haven’t figured out how to enter multiple lines of text in the prompt. In the web interface, you can press Shift-Enter, but that doesn’t work in the app. The app does have a feature where Enter inserts a new line instead of submitting the prompt, which is nice. However, that means I have to reach for my pointer to submit my prompt. It would be nice to either implement Shift-Enter for a new line, or keep Enter for line breaks and have Cmd-Enter submit the prompt — either way, I could have a fully keyboard-only interaction. ### 5/5 — Based *2026-06-30, version 1.0.4* This ai is actually based. It knows what’s up and doesn’t pull punches for anyone or anything. ### 5/5 — Been of invaluable help! *2026-06-20, version 1.0.1* I previously had only minor experience with ChatGPT, and liked the story on this product enough to purchase a years license. I have been overjoyed at the help I’m getting. I started off asking about a health condition, and the app kept prompting me for more info. As I provided it, I got better and better results. In addition, it offered to save my issue in my profile, which I did, and now I get comments on other questions that employs this knowledge. Then I had some travel questions on an upcoming trip to Asis - and again I got great useful information. I’ve asked it so many questions on so many topics now after a month of using it that I couldn’t even list those now. I use to google search in the past (and yes, I know Google gives you AI help with questions too), but its just so convenient to switch to Gab.ai. PS: I was an iOS developer for many years and am very happy at the UI and app itself! ### 5/5 — Happy camper! *2026-06-16* It’s been a huge help with some personal fitness issues as well as helping me with travel plans. I used to get so angry with the other big chat AI programs but this one is without the super annoying PC filter. Highly recommended. ### 5/5 — Good for Writing *2026-04-01* I use tools like this to assist me in researching what books to read for learning to write fight scenes or reviewing my semi-educated technobabble on infosec. I also use it to analyze some of the scenes I've written and ask it to tell me what it surmises the subtext to be or what it thinks of the characters personalities. I use all of this to better understand how on or off point I am and it's incredibly helpful way to get quick feedback and tips.
