I hate this app *2025-09-08, version 5.3* The service at our local GAC is always great. But….I absolutely hate this app! ### 2/5 — Faulty Rewards Scanner *2025-08-20, version 5.3* I frequent GAC and would like for my reward points to be counted. An error occurs every time I scan my rewards QR code in store. I always end up having to scan my receipt or manually enter my barcode numbers on the app, but the process typically renders an error message. I'm not pleased with this experience at all! My points never migrated the first time. This time I am stuck on the verification code screen as I never receive one in order to proceed. The only reason I downloaded it a second time was because I received an email about a birthday reward. It can only be claimed through the app so it’s a completely useless reward. ### 3/5 — Still Needs Work *2021-12-16, version 4.6* I am able to order cookie cakes without issue. I don’t like that of I want to add M&Ms to my cake I have to go into the selected cake to add them. The option should be in the main screen like on the website. Also the app doesn’t allow me to redeem rewards while checking out. I tap to redeem via ordering abs the reward doesn’t apply. Very frustrating. ### 1/5 — Pointless App…Just buy in store *2021-11-28, version 4.6* This app is HORRIBLE. Only gave it one star because there isn’t anything lower. Cant even order a cookie cake slice because it tells you to select frosting when there is NO option to do so. Then on another occasion I took the time to create my order, once I hit checkout it said the location was closed. I decided to call and they’re open until 7. Such a joke of an app. ***DO NOT DOWNLOAD. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND HEADACHE BY JUST BUYING IN STORE*** ### 1/5 — What is wrong with the stores and company working together *2021-11-04, version 4.6* You can not order on the app and send the order to the store so what is the purpose of the app. The store says the company keeps updating the app and the store can not adjust to this so there is a huge miscommunication between the two and the app is pointless as well as the website for ordering. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App doesn't work properly *2026-02-22, version 5.4* Every time I try to use my Sweet Spot Rewards in store, the system never recognizes/finds me in the system whether it's by providing my phone number or scanning my QR code within the app. It's very frustrating for me and the lovely workers who are always kind enough to honor my birthday rewards for myself and my son. It's also usually a toss up on whether the app will accept my receipts or not. I usually have to manually enter the barcode numbers because the in app scanner does not work properly either. Purchased a cookie cake today. Couldn’t login so I had my pw reset then started getting an error msg after reset. I ordered the cake, no $5 off code nothing. The app however needs work. Whenever I forget to scan the app for points I have tried using the app multiple times to try and get points for orders the same day. I’ve tried the scan the barcode feature and it always says invalid. I’ve also tried entering the barcode manually and get the same error. Please fix this ### 1/5 — Several years and same issues *2024-12-05, version 5.3* I haven’t been able to log into the app for years. I have reset the password multiple times and it tells me when it is wrong or when it is right it sends me to “the next step” to put in my phone number. Once I put in my phone number it says that is already in use and won’t let me proceed but isn’t that the point of logging in, because I already have an account with my phone number? I am frustrated and there is ok way for me to check the balance which is probably decent since I buy several of the cookie cakes a year. ### 1/5 — Smh rude *2024-11-21, version 5.3* Guy was rude as heck soon as I entered the door then wasn’t able to comply with my rewards offer also did not want to serve me as well I didn’t like the guy service 👎🏿 ### 1/5 — Access to acct *2024-10-25* The app is confused when trying to change a password, or simply logging on when phone nbr is stored on the system. Can’t log in, can’t reset pwd, and when deleting the app to start over, it hangs with a phone ‘already used by another account’ message. So, can’t use, can’t fix. First, I have been prompted to re-download this app 4 times now over the years, not update it, but completely download a whole new app requiring all new login credentials. Registers in stores don’t always mirror the rewards my app shows I’m eligible for; therefore, I don’t get to redeem rewards I have received. It appears this app suffers from syncing issues. Disappointing. Inconvenient. I was told to download the new one at our favorite GAC and within 5 minutes I had downloaded the new app and migrated my points from my old one. The new app is much easier to navigate and a much cleaner and fresh look. It’s also nice to know which GAC I can earn points at and which ones I can’t.
