## What is Gadius?

Gadius shows who is nearby and lets you say hello. See a grid of people around you with a rounded distance, never an exact location. Tap someone, or tap the exact photo, prompt or voice answer you liked and say why. When you both tap, you are connected.

Profiles are more than a photo: answer three prompts from a curated list, in words or in your own voice, and add the facts that matter to you (position, tribes, body type, what you are looking for). A verified badge means someone's grid photo matched a selfie taken live in the app.

Private by design
- Safe zones: set home or work and you drop off the grid there. The places stay on your phone; Gadius only learns that you are in one.
- Disappearing messages: 24 hours or 7 days, per chat, and the chat says when either of you changes it.
- Photos from people you have not replied to stay blurred until you tap. With Sensitive Content Warning on, your iPhone also blurs nudity it detects, on the device.
- One screen shows exactly what others can see about you right now. Go incognito, hide your distance, your age or when you were last active.

Clever, on your iPhone
On devices with Apple Intelligence, Gadius can suggest an opener from someone's profile, help you sharpen a prompt answer, and ask "send anyway?" before a first message that might land badly. It all runs on your iPhone: your messages never go to an AI server.

Safer meeting up
Plan a safe meetup and share a link with someone you trust. At the time you pick, Gadius asks you to check in, and if you do not, the link says so. Share your live location in a chat for 15 minutes or an hour. A lock-screen countdown keeps the check-in in view.

Every photo is screened before it appears, every profile, photo and message can be reported or blocked, and a human reviews reports within 24 hours. Choose who sees your private album and for how long. Works on iPhone and iPad, with a home-screen widget that shows counts, never names or photos.

Your location is used only while the app is open. Notifications are yours to shape, with quiet hours. Delete your account and everything with it at any time from Settings. Gadius is for adults aged 18 and over.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-10-23

New ways to explore and keep track of people nearby.

Save profiles for later, and move to the previous or next person straight from a profile. Quick filters on the grid jump to who's active now, Right now, or your saved profiles.

Unlock one profile free each day in Taps and Who viewed you.

You can now sign in with a 6-digit email code, finish setup without a photo, and browse a city even when location is off.

Chats due to expire after 30 days show a reminder with one tap to keep them, plus reliability and privacy fixes throughout.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-13

Improved profile setup and chat reliability.

Completed profile setup is remembered when you reopen the app, and unfinished setup restores your saved details.

Message notifications return to the right conversation without opening a duplicate chat. Chat loading and error screens display correctly, and failed loads can be retried without leaving the conversation.
