I put my phone down once I seen what books I had checked out. A few minutes later I was signed out and for the past 6 hours I close it out and repeated the app is not opening/loading. All I see is the green screen with the leaf. Nothing else shows up or loads. ### 1/5 — Bummed *2026-07-05* Unfortunately, I have to give this app only one star. If even that. I use this app all the time - but lately I either can’t log in, or it boots me out before I even get to that step. The library IT helped me once…worked ok for a couple weeks, and now I can’t get in at all. PLEASE FIX THIS! ### 1/5 — Painful to use *2026-05-25, version 26.04.00* This is one of the worst apps I have ever used. It is painfully slow to load, it is often unresponsive to touch inputs, results load very slowly, if you open the app switcher and focus back in the app, it takes you back to a past screen, etc. Feels like an app built 20 years ago with zero user testing. Don’t bother using this app. ### 1/5 — Awful *2026-04-20* The app won’t even let me sign in, and yes, I’ve deleted and reloaded the app multiple times. It used to work, and now it just doesn’t. Do better! ### 1/5 — Search *2026-02-14* Poor design. Search bar is worthless. **Developer response:** I am sorry you are having such a frustrating experience with the app. I have been working with the developers to resolve this frequent logging out issue. You should not have the same problem with the most recent release 25.04. You can contact me at kjohnston@gailborden.info if you continue to experience trouble or for any other feedback you wish to provide. ### 1/5 — Can't even scan barcodes anymore *2025-10-06* The only thing I've used the app for since the switch to this new app is to scan the barcodes to check out books. That stopped working a few weeks ago. The camera opens but it never identifies the barcode and checks out the item. The only way to do it is to manually key in the number which is worse than just using the check out machines in the library. **Developer response:** I am disappointed that you did not like the new app. The latest version 24.06.01 has solved the notification popup issue. I will ask the developers about a solution for the screen reloading after each browse category is toggled off. I agree the experience could be better. When accounts are linked the account is identified with each item: Title, Author, Format, On Hold For/Checked Out To. You can also sort the holds lists by library account so the items are grouped together. How would you prefer to identify the different items? One of the reasons we choose this new app and catalog is because they are more customizable so we can make changes based on community feedback. Automatically says server error and screen with leaf is all that shows up. Can’t get past it. The app on my phone says that the app will discontinue on Aug 29th! ### 1/5 — Never Works *2025-09-03* Used it for a bit but it was never user friendly. Now it just doesn’t work at all. ### 1/5 — “Update” *2025-04-12* Ever since they changed the site, I’ve encountered many problems. The MOST annoying is that I have to enter my card and password 75% of the time. 2nd, the search is practically worthless. Before I even start to sign in, even with full connection on my personal phone and wi-fi, it says that I have a “server connection problem and to try again later”. Once I start to sign in, I can’t because of “server connection issues” and other issues that shouldn’t be, like my password and library card info. I want to use this app for years yet this issue has never been resolved.
