### 3/5 — Annoying ads

*2026-08-29, version 11.3.1*

I’ve used this app for years and always liked it. They recently added ads so now before you set a new alarm they force you to watch an ad, which is completely annoying. I’m going to find a different app that doesn’t play ads.

### 2/5 — Used to be better

*2026-08-21, version 11.3.1*

I loved this app because iPhones I believe don’t let you set an alarm for more than 24 hours later, therefore I needed an app to organize all my alarms throughout the month. Now every time I go to try and add/edit an alarm, it makes me three ads, (which is new) and on the third ad there is a X at the top left of the screen and no matter how many times I push it the ad page does not move. Therefore I cannot edit or add any alarms so I’m stuck with what alarms I have and cannot add/edit any more. Really was the perfect app but now they really need to fix this.

### 4/5 — Ad is too long

*2026-08-10, version 11.3.1*

Totally enjoyed it when no ads. Now, ad display at the start seems to be too long. Can you just show 1 ad instead of 2?

### 2/5 — Ads defeat otherwise good app

*2026-08-09, version 11.3.1*

The ads are fine if they’re a little shorter and not so hard to get out of without a bunch of other junk. I used to love this app, but the implementation of too many ads has caused me to switch to other options that are free and do not serve a ads I get it that ads support the free product, but it’s one thing to have ads…and it’s another thing to have super annoying time-consuming ads that force you to get rid of the app. This Developer has chosen the super annoying ads.

### 2/5 — Intrusive ads

*2026-07-30, version 11.3.0*

Worked great at first, then the ads started. Each time I opened an alarm to edit it, an ad popped up and would not let me proceed. Had to close, go out, and start over. Then it happened three times in a row today while trying to edit one alarm. Deleted app.

### 2/5 — Almost good

*2026-07-29, version 11.3.0*

I like the concept of the app a lot. Being able to schedule alarms is super helpful as a shift worker whose schedule is constantly changing. I do think the app description is misleading- I downloaded from the Apple App Store and it states that you can add your own alarm sounds. After downloading and spending time scheduling alarms, I searched in the app for how to add my own sounds and eventually found out in the help page that this feature is only available for Android devices. Why say this is a feature when it isn’t? That was disappointing, but not enough for me to delete the app. My next issue is much more frustrating and makes me want to delete the app every time an alarm goes off. The alarms do not stop snoozing 3-5x, no matter what method I use to mark them as done. The banner notification feature that has a “done, skip, snooze” menu snoozes the alarm no matter what. The home screen notifications snooze no matter what I select. Opening the app from a notification and selecting “done” only snoozes- and that is only IF the alarm page actually opens. 80% of the time opening the app doesn’t open the active alarm. The app will show that the alarm is “missed” but even after marking it done or skipped in the missed section, it will continue to go off. I have all my alarms set to the minimum number of snoozes, but they all go off 3-5x no matter what I do and the alarm sounds available in the app are startling, not calm and gentle. It creates so much frustration, stress, and annoyance - I’m dealing with a minimum of 21 alarms going off each day when I’ve only set 7. And this is the paid version of the app. The bugs are awful for something I’m paying for.

### 3/5 — Great app until ads started

*2026-07-23, version 11.2.1*

The free version is great. They started bombarding with ads every time you want to add/delete/modify alarms. That’d be ok if after watching the ads they could be closed. But nope. So the app is now useless.

### 2/5 — Used to work great

*2026-07-18*

This app was just what my husband and I needed when we brought home our newborn. We were struggling to get up with just our phone alarm being set for one another, so we got this to force both of us to turn off an alarm. It was very difficult to get right at first though. I had to adjust many phone settings and discovered the app had to always be running to go off. I wish that was explicitly stated somewhere but it wasn’t. After much trial and error, the app worked great. Recently all of that has changed. Our alarms are not going off at all. Sometimes they are being marked as acknowledged before they even go off. Sometimes they just simply don’t go off at all and show up as missed. Sometimes we set the alarm, it shows how long until it’ll go off, my husbands phone will get the notification that the alarm is set, and then come time for the alarm it doesn’t go off and the app shows no record of the alarm ever existing. I messaged support and they told me to follow the online steps, which I had done many times. They then said I need to just create a recurring alarm, but that isn’t conducive to feeding a baby. She’s not on a complete schedule yet so the times switch all the time. This app was amazing but it just isn’t working anymore and I need something reliable to ensure I’m waking up to feed my child. I’m open to talking more with support if we can find a resolution, but the support emails are also not user friendly and confusing. If all else fails I’m going to be looking for a new app unfortunately. I wish this one would’ve stayed consistent because it was great when it worked.

**Developer response:** Thanks for writing. We're truly sorry to hear your experience, especially knowing how important Galarm has been in helping you care for your newborn. We can imagine how frustrating, and concerning, this experience must be.

What you're describing is NOT expected behavior, and we'd really like to investigate it with you. Rather than continuing over email, would you be willing to join us for a brief Zoom call? We'd be happy to work around your schedule (we know life with a newborn isn't predictable) and troubleshoot this together in real time. If we can reproduce the issue, we'll do everything we can to get it resolved.

Please contact us through Settings → Feedback and let us know a few times that work for you, along with your time zone. We genuinely appreciate that you've taken the time to share such detailed feedback, and we'd love the opportunity to make Galarm reliable for your family again.

### 5/5 — Cannot stay on track …

*2026-07-18, version 11.2.1*

…without daily & hourly alarms for ongoing EVERYTHING including meds, appointments, ordering meals

### 2/5 — Ads Crash App

*2026-07-13, version 11.2.1*

I honestly wouldn’t mind the ads in a free app, but they crash the whole app every single time. The premium isn’t expensive ($9.99 p/year), but I don’t need most of the features so will just un-install if the ads don’t get better.

### 5/5 — Was such a good app until the advert started

*2026-07-13, version 11.2.1*

It’s a really good app if you have Apple phone as it’s loud and we play on silent however after while you can’t set an alarm without watching an advert which is really annoying

### 4/5 — Ad is too long

*2026-07-10, version 11.2.1*

Totally enjoyed it when no ads. Now, ad display at the start seems to be too long

### 2/5 — Free now has Ads

*2026-07-07, version 11.2.1*

I’ve been using this app for years, and recently they’ve had Ads appear in the middle of typing in the app setting up the alarm, and it sucks now.

I like the app and would probably love the other features but I’m not sure it’s worth paying for.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — “Invitees”?! Just want an Alarm app!

*2026-08-29, version 11.3.1*

Don’t like “Categories” that Cannot be Edited, or added without UPGRADING. “Upgrade to Premium”?! Every Category does not Apply to my events. I will not invite an Attorney to join “Galarm”!! Very disappointed in the FEW FREE FEATURES. Will be D.E.L.E.T.I.N.G. !!

### 1/5 — Too slow and too many ads

*2026-08-19, version 11.3.1*

This app is the worst app I have ever used. Very slow to open. Now forcing me to watch very long ads. With Apple reminder’s update, i can finally put Galarm in the trash.

### 1/5 — The ads

*2026-08-06, version 11.3.1*

I don't mind a short ad to use an app but two 30 second ads isn't worth it to me. I'll use something else from now on.

### 1/5 — Ads problem

*2026-08-01, version 11.3.1*

Too many ads

### 1/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-07-19*

for a long time, the app works great, especially for a free version. Then I got a notification that to keep the app free I would have to watch ads. The first ad I watched was this highly inappropriate adult site advertisement, I mean, what if younger kids and teens are using this?

Then, the ads started getting longer and longer. They’re all over 30 seconds plus while I’m sitting there trying to just set an alarm. when they end sometimes there’s no visible way to exit out of them without being sent directly to the website so you have to close out the entire app and load it up again. If Apple wasn’t prehistoric and would let you set a future alarm, this wouldn’t be necessary in the first place but here we are.

**Developer response:** Sorry for any inappropriate ads you saw. It should NEVER happen based on our logic. We've explained our approach here: https://faqs.galarmapp.com/ad-strategy-to-keep-galarm-free

We sincerely thank you for taking the time to write. As development, cloud hosting, notification delivery, and support costs have grown, we've introduced a very limited advertising model for non-Premium users to help keep Galarm sustainable while preserving a generous free experience. We never sell or share your personal data, and we've carefully designed our approach to minimize any disruption.

Our goal has always been to help people stay on top of life's important moments and collaborate with family and friends. We've personally invested years of work, and our own resources, into building and continually improving Galarm while keeping its core experience free for everyone.

### 1/5 — Alarm used to be great…

*2026-07-13, version 11.2.1*

After finding out that IPhones don’t have an alarm feature for weeks in advance I downloaded this app. It worked wonderfully……until the “targeted ads” started. I am not forced to watch ads for at least 30 seconds before I can set an alarm.
I am currently looking for a new alarm.

### 1/5 — Contact

*2026-07-06, version 11.2.1*

App doesn’t let me allow me to add contacts when I’m trying to create a new appointment or alarm… it keeps sending me a link to send to somebody else to register and they’ve already registered, but then there’s no part that says link contacts

### 1/5 — Pop-ups!

*2026-07-03, version 11.2.1*

The app worked well for a long time, and then a lot of pop-up ads began appearing. Sadly, I had to remove the app.

### 1/5 — Sometimes No Sound

*2026-06-30, version 11.2.0*

I can’t fully depend of just this alarm because sometimes it doesn’t go off or it does but there’s no sound - I just happen to see my phone screen on with the alarm on the page but no sound.

### 1/5 — Ads have ruined it

*2026-06-27, version 11.2.0*

This was a great app until the ads came. I don’t mind an ad every now and then but these ads you can not click out of or close. Literally renders the app useless sometimes. Such a shame.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Phenomenal

*2026-08-28, version 11.3.1*

This app truly is amazing. Saves me so much time and gives me peace of mind. I don’t mind paying a dime.

### 5/5 — Galarm

*2026-08-22, version 11.3.1*

It’s the best reminder App I’ve ever used

### 5/5 — really useful

*2026-08-21, version 11.3.1*

transcended the game for me—i’ve been so on top of things. super customizable and tons of stuff for even non-subscribers!!

### 5/5 — I LOVE Galarm

*2026-08-17, version 11.3.1*

I use thi s app constantly. It has the flexibility to schedule almost any set of alarms you can think of (duration, frequency) over time into the distant future, such as a concert in 4 months. Why Apple cannot do that I don’t know, but the genius is with these guys here, not Apple.

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2026-08-16, version 11.3.1*

Really helps me remember things when I have a busy schedule.

### 5/5 — So helpful!

*2026-08-13, version 11.3.1*

I play Kingshot & have multiple accounts which have multiple events to schedule, both single occurrence & repeating. Galarm has been a godsend coz I can set alarms days/weeks/months in advance. And I can set them to UTC/Reykjavik time to match the in-game clock. No more pesky time math! No more mistakes! It's perfect. I pay the subscription too, which allows me to set more alarms.
The only thing I'd add is a second reminder of an upcoming alarm.

### 5/5 — App is Great, But..

*2026-08-05, version 11.3.1*

The app is great however, the Reminder tones are very limited and sounds some of them unprofessional. I am a worker and when I hear sounds during my work some of them doesn’t sound too good.

To developers - please add more professional tones.

### 5/5 — So Helpful

*2026-07-27, version 11.2.1*

This app is exactly what I needed to manage my life as I am so forgetful with my ADHD.

### 5/5 — Galarm review

*2026-07-22, version 11.2.1*

Very handy app. Works well

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-21, version 11.2.1*

I love the simplicity of creating reminders with an alarm days or weeks in advanced
