Missing point combos on 2 + 1 groups, very large hit boxes for enemies, and that’s just to begin. Does have a new nice things though, including good controls/player movement, and challenging enemy movement to track the player. 3 out of 5 is deserved, fun to play, but def not the original. ### 2/5 — Hard to play *2025-03-27, version 2.1* Control button needs to be wider or more responsive. It’s really hard to move properly. Such a shame as the graphics and sounds are great ### 4/5 — Faithful but controls are hard *2022-12-04, version 2.1* This is almost a perfect port of the original in terms of graphics and sound. The movement is not quite authentic esp. for the motherships and henchmen when they come down together. Also there is no bonus (I.e. 800 for getting all three). The worst part is that the left/right control is hard to be precise with which adds difficulty. Wish they could fix that. ### 4/5 — Point system *2021-12-12, version 2.1* In the arcade machine the flagship with two escorts were worth 800 points once the escorts were destroyed, in the app version, you can destroy the escorts and the flagship is worth the convoy points. It is only worth 800 if it leaves without a convoy. This should be corrected ### 3/5 — Played and then died *2021-09-16, version 2.1* I’m playing this thing. Me da pena escribir esta review porque de verdad que me gustan las emulaciones que has hecho pero no ofrecen una experiencia de juego placentera. He pedido un reembolso. ### 4/5 — Casi casi... *2020-10-22, version 2.1* Muy buena adaptación, el juego en iPad con mando es increíble, lo “malo” es cuando juegas en el móvil, el juego no está adaptado para pantallas con “notch” y se podría separar la zona de los mandos de la del juego en si, hay espacio de sobra abajo pues las naves enemigas se ven muy arriba con respecto a cómo se ve en el iPad. Une option de tir en mode continu serait le bienvenue ... ### 4/5 — To the developer ..... *2020-07-06, version 2.1* You are so close to nailing this but two issues that need addressing which are the scoring anomaly that has been well documented in the previous reviews but for me the most important one is the collision detection is way too forgiving. If you play the arcade rom your missiles quite often fly between the Galaxians but on her you’re guaranteed a hit if you’re close enough. However, kudos for including controller compatibility, it’s fantastic. Like I say, you are so close to nailing this port 👍🏻 ### 3/5 — OK, but .... *2020-06-30, version 2.1* ... it doesn’t support the ion iCade. :-/ ### 1/5 — Poor Version *2020-06-01, version 2.1* Don’t waste your money - it looks like the making of a great game but after two games their is no ability to have a shipped picked up and all aliens dive for you - unrealistic ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2020-05-30, version 2.1* **Update May 2020** I think there’s a scoring bug that needs fixing. The score for the little yellow guy is inconsistent. If you hit him when he is charging with his wingmen, you only score 60 (his convoy score) for him, even if you hit him last. If you hit him when he is charging on his own, you score 800. This should be the other way round. Like the original, you should be rewarded 80p for hitting him last after destroying his protection. Not a bad conversion at all for the price. Looks and sounds authentic. Struggle a bit with the virtual joystick but the fire button is very responsive. I think the speed issue raised in other reviews has been addressed in later releases. Seems fine to me. Would like to see the scores appear above ships when you hit a combination and the screen which shows the score for each ship. ### 4/5 — Classic *2020-05-05, version 2.1* Back in the day this was my favourite arcade game, and in later years I even had a Galaxian arcade machine at home. So to find a game that faithful replicated this classic is very satisfying. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is because the scores 800 by shooting two reds and the a yellow doesn’t appear to be part of this port. But a lifetime of playing means I can’t help but run that gauntlet every time it’s presented to me. Level one is more difficult the joystick is slack in its movement I do like the rapidfire of the shooter but it needs more control over the game my demo of this game proved to have no sound either which is part of the effect. But for two bucks it’ll keep you from getting bored but if you really like this game the arcade style that is stay away from this one you will be disappointing for sure. ### 1/5 — Disappointment *2021-01-17, version 2.1* Not worth it. A classic game ruined with poor controls. Don’t waste your money. Make the controls far more responsive and get rid of the feint image of the handle as well and you have yourselves a winner. Otherwise- not not good. This applies to galaxia and scramble. Por ejemplo en el juego original las naves amarillas te las podías guardar para el nivel siguiente. En esta versión no es posible. Y es un poco más difícil esquivar las moscas. I used a playstation 4 controller and works the same as the arcade machine. Didnt try to use the virtual joystick as I had bad experience in another IOS galaxian game I bought using virtual joystick. Highly recommended !! ### 5/5 — To the developer *2021-01-09, version 2.1* This is very close to the original, however I’ve noticed 2 things. When 2 reds and a yellow fly down, killing the 2 reds followed by the yellow would give you 800 points for the yellow one alone and it would display this where the yellow alien was. But if there’s one game I think you should consider uploading, it’s Galaga. If you ever can, please try to upload the game. Galaga is my favorite game in the Galaxian series (I say the Galaxian series because Galaga is the sequel to Galaxian). Please give us Galaga. Now for the Galaxia app, I love it! I played it all day as soon as I bought it. Please take Galaga into consideration. ### 5/5 — Now has the external game controller support it needed *2020-02-01, version 2.1* Update to my earlier review and now I love it. It was already a nice rendition of the classic game but play was marred by clumsy and unresponsive touch controls. The developer has just added game controller support, and now it is a joy to play (with my controller). I loved this game in the arcades in my younger years, and it still has a wonderful charm about it. Thanks again to the developer for adding MFi game controller support to this and a number of other games. ### 5/5 — Fantastico!! *2020-02-01, version 2.1* Da grande nostalgico, ho cercato molto, ma questo è l’unico gioco fedele al vecchio galaxian!! Ora i controlli sono molto più efficaci!!
