We renting a house and we don’t have access to WiFi settings! ### 3/5 — App *2024-03-03, version 1.1.0* The app has worked fine with the lamp for awhile now and we’ve had it for a couple years now but all of a sudden the app is really glitched out for me and I’m not able to turn the laser brightness down. I checked to make sure there wasn’t an update and there wasn’t so I tried deleting and reinstalling. I thought they were supposed to be smart devices that would connect with my Google Home but they do not. The only way they work is through this app or Luminary. Even after linking those apps to Google Home the Galaxy Lamp devices don’t show up in the Google Home app. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work properly *2023-12-24, version 1.1.0* Before the update the app used to work properly now it just shuts down and doesn’t link to device. That one at least came with a remote to change the settings. This whole device is dependent on this stupid app which doesn’t even work. I’ve tried pairing the projector at least 10 different times to no avail and that is straight out of the box. Don’t waste your time or money on this stupid company. They don’t care about you or whether their product even does what it’s supposed to do. Trying to submit feedback over and over and the submit button never turns on, yes every field was filled out, it’s such a bad functioning app and the device is annoying because you have to use the app to turn it on or off. The app stays stuck on one screen and one screen only. When attempting to switch between “Laser”, “Colour” and “Scene”, there is no change between the three and this did not happen when I first downloaded the app, so I don’t understand why it’s happening out of nowhere. I also no longer have control over how fast I want to stars to rotate. That option completely disappeared. The “on/off” button now only works for turning *off* the device, but I can’t turn it back on. I have to do that manually. Also, the tab on the top right corner no longer works so I can’t switch between the stars and colour anymore. I have to do that manually as well. It actually doesn’t even move back and forth anymore. It’s just stuck to the right. I will happily give a better review if these bugs are fixed somehow. But until then, I’m sorry, this app is not doing it for me. ### 1/5 — PLEASE READ! Won’t connect at all! *2023-08-04, version 1.0.4* Developers please fix this. I am very glad to have received my galaxy projector and it works off of it’s default settings but I was also looking forward to customizing it’s colors with my phone. No matter which option of connection I choose, it always times out and simply won’t connect. I’ve retried many times and even though it’s detectable through pairing, it just refuses to connect. The lamp is always out of sync with it as well. They should have made a remote for it. Also this app isn’t even made for android phone owners. Great lamp. The app is completely messed up and I am unable to even see the slider for rotation. The color and laser tabs do not even change the UI or function. The little toggle switch that is unlabeled bricks the device and requires a hard reset to reconnect with the app again. It never did this before. Not sure who approved this update but you basically ruined the product. ### 1/5 — love apps for products that don’t work *2024-10-02, version 1.1.0* paid sooo much money for 4 of these lamps (2x projectors and 2x moons) and they were really great for about 1 year. now the app is so dysfunctional that they’re essentially worthless (despite the lamps themselves being in basically new condition). i had my moon lamps set to flash in the morning as an “alarm”, which was great until something changed and suddenly it was going off in the middle of the night. unfortunately the app is so broken that it’s now stuck like that forever (the tabs for the timers, colors, and scenes are simply not operable) and they are just unplugged dusty plastic spheres in my house. the galaxy projector fortunately still looks ok on the default settings (controllable with the button on the side of the projector itself), but i wish i could have it on a timer so i don’t have to turn it on/off every day… since that’s one of the features i thought i was paying for when i bought it for $100+. they were incredibly cool while they lasted. wish that had been a little longer, but it seems like nobody has bothered updating the app in a while despite the costly price of the associated products (that are still for sale)!!! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Galaxy Lamp projector *2023-09-26, version 1.0.4* Very nice! Seems to be good quality and it’s easy to use. I ordered 2 more as gifts after using mine. BONUS if you have old school popcorn ceilings as it makes the “stars” twinkle. I’m really impressed and satisfied with this projector ### 5/5 — Great lights but…. *2023-08-04, version 1.0.4* These are great lights that work with Ole Girl Alexa but it’s just so shocking that after all these years and so so very many other brands of these “space”or “galaxy” lamps, that absolutely!NO ONE! can seem to get them right! It’s hilarious bc even the really expensive “planetarium” (supposed) style ones aren’t what they are priced up to be! Like the stars or laser on these you cannot set it to be completely off for whatever reason from the slider (inside this app)that brightens and dims the stars or laser, so therefore I keep it turned off bc it’s just too bright and too many overpowering “patterned”stars (looks like those Xmas ones shining on the front of houses or trailers in the trailer park!otherwise it’s TACKY! Stop it! Also why not update these with new functions or affects? That’s why I say all these brands out there and they’re all the SAME tacky galaxy lamp lol. The two smaller Moon Lamps have worked PERFECTLY with G.A.
