Galileo works great as a stand-alone musical instruments and it also works very well with music apps that require MIDI note input. I have turned to Galileo many times because it’s reliable and sounds great. Always wanted to play organ? You’ll have a lot of fun with Galileo. I use my Yamaha P-125’s built-in MIDI controller to play organ on Galileo and it’s a blast. Want to learn about drawbars and how they work? Experiment on Galileo to see what the drawbars do to the sound. If you want to get even more serious, do some research on how drawbar organs work and you too can become a bona fide organist. Yonac has produced a really nice organ product with Galileo. Galileo provides lots of control if you want or need it, or, just go through the presets and you’re sure to find some you really like. You can mark them as Favorites and Galileo will create a Favorite presets list you can pick to quickly get back to them at any time. Galileo is definitely one of my favorite music apps to create music on or just have fun with and relax. Thanks, Yonac! Job well done!! ### 3/5 — Please restore the old Gallileo Organ App *2023-02-28* Dear developer(s). Please restore the old Gallileo Oregon., the app that preceded this one. I have it on my iPad and it will run on iOS 16, but must be hooked up to an external audio source through USB MID control or otherwise it will make a squealing noise and not function. It sounds much better with what I want to do with it . The Rotary Cabinet Drum rotor on this new app is not nearly pronounced enough like it was on the older version. It fails me as to why developers will create a new app, and it not be as good as the older one. Located in EXPERT -> Page 2, the UP CV BYPASS and LO CV BYPASS toggles now let percussion signal from the respective manuals bypass the organ Chorus/Vibrato (bypass is off by default), so as to get a Jimmy Smith-like effect. • Addressed the issue where MIDI Sustain (CC 64) wasn’t mappable to parameters. (Don’t forget to enable Sustain filters by going to EXPERT -> MIDI if using the sustain pedal for things other than note sustain…also remember that you should select the "momentary" option under a Galileo 2 parameter's MIDI learn prefs, if that parameter is binary (you know, a switch...) and you're using something like a sustain pedal to toggle it (sustain pedals are "momentary").) • Addressed the issue where external MIDI In on/off settings (found in PREFS -> ADVANCED MIDI) weren’t persistent in AUv3 version. Now they are remembered in the state of each separate plugin instance. ALSO (this is important), the external MIDI IN will now be OFF by default when using Galileo 2 as an AUv3.
