### 3/5 — steep learning curve, needs better lessons

*2026-08-23*

i am really enjoying the poker and have learned a lot but the learning curve gets very sharp once i got to the intermediate lessons. all the lessons are very short and its difficult to retain all the knowledge they give, like all the calculations of pot odds and expected value and such. lessons are very short and should be longer, with multiple practice hands with no help from the coach. if each lesson went slower and i could play hands designed to teach whatever was being taught in the lesson, this could easily be five stars

### 3/5 — Avis français

*2026-08-22*

### 4/5 — Great great great

*2026-07-30*

This is such a nice new app, it will definitely help a lot of people get better. People do not tend to push all in in every hand like other free apps, as the whlole beauty of this app is after game review, and most people play to avoid blunders. I’m not a pro but I have played a lot of poker, I think the review is not as accurate as can be.

e.g after 29Q rainbow flop 4 players checked, on the turn there was another 9, and I bet half pot from middle position with a garbage hand, took it down. Gave blunder. Maybe bet was not the best option but under no means is it blunder. If turn had been A K J or T then ok, but since board paired after no action, bluff attempt kinda legit, inaccuracy at best.

Overall I still love it.

### 3/5 — Lots to work on here but not bad except for the ranking system

*2026-07-27*

I would say the overall vibes of this app especially the player base is overall very positive though the ranking system needs an overhaul especially with the tolerances and especially since it’s based on how many chips you lose because it doesn’t really make sense as you could start with 500 go down to 100 then get back up to 500 then go all in and lose and yet it makes you lose around ~100 rating because you somehow lost more than 500 chips which you didn’t. Also for ranked why is there tiered difficulty aka hands change at certain ratings (just look at the rating system for reference)

### 2/5 — Issue for tutorial

*2026-07-12*

1. Tutorial progress button (next and prev) layout mismatch, prev button holds the full space.
2. Tutorial context did not show fully.

### 3/5 — Lots to work on here but not bad accept for the ranking system

### 3/5 — Cool idea, app not production ready

*2026-06-20*

Starting as a someone experienced player who wanted to learn more. Literally no way to skip lessons (I don’t need to be taught, but I’d love some strategy advice). How did this make it past QA?

Idea is wonderful. Execution of the actual strategy and learning layer leaves much to be desired.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Just so unbeleivably dreadful

*2026-08-19*

The game play is ridiculously fast, for a website where the whole point is to learn you really don’t have any time to think about interesting lines. The coaching is completely useless (they don’t, for example, understand the concept of a double gutshot draw and will claim you have four outs where you have 8) there is no dedicated support for the website and god forbid you sign up for a week of the premium service (which they have no right to be offering for such a terrible site) you won’t be able to cancel it as you have to go through chess.com and face zero responses even after pestering “chessica” . take my advice and play on gto wizard if you want to learn this site is a blot on the history of a fantastic chess service.

### 1/5 — How?

*2026-06-28*

It said “no healthy upstream” “non-json response” when I tried to sign up with apple.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-06-24*

They didn’t bother to invest much money into it - it’s incredibly laggy and the bots give you terrible advice. Very limited features and functionality as well. Very clear this was a side project lol.

### 1/5 — The game doesn’t work/lags a lot

*2026-06-09*

Downloaded this to learn, no matter what i do at some point in the game it just returns back and thats it

### 1/5 — Terrible poker advice

*2026-06-04*

All of the bots play terribly, and the advice that the coach gives is not good. Here’s a bad for example: QT suited. UTG raises, and it says that calling is a blunder? Maybe aggressive, but calling is certainly within some ranges. Then, the flop comes J96. UTG bets 1/4 pot, and I called, and it said that I should fold my open ended with an overcard to the board? Several things wrong with this, but it is genuinely just bad advice. I need 14.3% to call, and I have at least 30% with my open ender and probably at least 35% with my over card. The UI looks good, but whatever solver they are using to validate decisions and the bot programming is completely off.

### 2/5 — Super laggy especially in tournament play

*2026-08-28*

Hard to play when it lags so much and you miss your turn as the action buttons even when you click them don’t function

### 2/5 — terrible performance

*2026-08-03*

i like that this is a fun and engaging way to play holdem against bots. and that there are online lightning tournaments to practice against real ppl. however the app performs so poorly that buttons won’t work when you are trying to call or raise etc, and you just get to watch your avatar ruin a hand with the terrible lag. only reason for 2 star instead of 1 is that i appreciate the attention to the UX. but the performance is amazing. given i am not on a brick phone and playing on my home wifi.

also the phone doubles as a hand warmer during that time. yikes! what are you doing with the GPU???

### 2/5 — Text and interface elements cut off on 12 mini

*2026-08-01*

It’s just sad to see, but I suppose it’s just a matter of time before this sweet little phone is completely left behind.

### 2/5 — Super Fun; Needs work

*2026-07-31*

You can exploit the bots with a trick to get them to always call if you bet preflop your entire stack minus one. I know somebody from the top 10 elo list who was able to climb the ladder just by doing this. Probably might want to fix that if you want bot games to provide elo

Also, app still freezes and sound keeps cutting out

Pretty shameful but not unexpected for something adjacent to chess.com to monetize an app so clearly early in its dev cycle that hardly functions, but that’s neo-20s Internet now dawg it’s lit

### 2/5 — Trop de bug

*2026-07-20*

### 5/5 — Super cool concept , lots of potential

*2026-07-12*

Poker is fun but the financial investment is a lot - so not having to spend money is a big plus.
Nice graphics , UI .
Could have lots of potential can (and needs) to have lots more features like chess.com.

Nice concept , nice to have a chess.com but for poker .

### 5/5 — Tradução:

*2026-07-08*

Muito bom aplicativo, só falta ter tradução para outros idiomas.

### 5/5 — I love gamble

*2026-06-28*

You make me love gamble again thx chess.com

### 5/5 — Great to be able to play poker without fear.

*2026-06-10*

Most other sites are really into taking your money as a beginner: great to see a site that does not do that
