### 2/5 — Text Too Small

*2025-02-22, version 4.1.0*

It looks like a fun game, and I have the largest iPhone, but the text is just way too small. I can’t believe Apple Arcade allowed this port to be put on their platform without actually looking at it.

### 3/5 — Fun game but has technical problems

*2024-11-10, version 4.1.0*

Game doesn’t save properly or will make choices on situations that I didn’t even encounter. Sometimes I’ll get a notification but when I click there is nothing for me to do.

### 4/5 — A fun game, okay app

*2024-08-21*

I like this game a lot. It’s different than most and it’s very slow, but it’s an interesting ongoing story to check in with throughout the day. If that sort of game is for you and you love GoT then this is for you.

My only complaint is the UI needs some polishing, mainly the scale. It’s great on my iPad and Mac, but the text is so small on my iPhone I can barely read it. I’ve just stopped using the iOS version altogether. If they fix that it’s an easy five stars!

### 2/5 — Good game so far but requires phone update

*2023-12-25*

The Dynamic Island blocks important content. That’s infuriating. The text is extremely small and doesn’t have to be, give a size option if you want. The view where you can move around and click the eyeballs for different messages is hectic, spins insanely, and uncontrollable and needs Ux fixed. All on 15pro. I’m sure it’s similar on any newer phone. Otherwise the game could be good if they put a few quality of life improvements in place.

### 4/5 — Love this game—potential for more

*2023-12-10, version 4.1.0*

Game is a great addition in ASOIAF universe. Hope there are more updates to the game and more customization—edit names of characters would be great as there are not lore friendly names

### 4/5 — Engaging and artfully designed. Desperately needs a hurry-up mode.

*2023-11-04, version 4.1.0*

Engaging time-waster that’s artfully designed and engagingly written, but deperatley needs a hurry-up mode.
Players aplay mobile games to fill their time when their time is free — the game should wait on the player, not the otehr way around.

Also, story pivot points are often vaguely and imprecisely worded so that the player doesn’t know what the authors intend or mean.
This deprives the player of feeling that they have agency in decisions.
Also, often, none of the decision choices are near what any intelligent person would do.

So, overall, could use significantly better story management.

Still, it’s engaging and worth a try.

### 4/5 — Interesting - Very slow pace

*2023-10-18, version 4.1.0*

This game wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought I would be building something, but soon realized that this is a lot more of an interactive story, where you get a 'few' choices of dialogue.
It 'may' be that your choices affect future generations but I didn't play long enough to find out perhaps. But I kept expecting a consequence for my choices that never happened.
That isn’t to say that this game wasn’t interesting. It managed to keep me curious for a long time, and even now I wonder what might have happened if I kept playing.
The art is cute, and the wolf of GOT is one I love.
BUT. The pace is really really slow.
I found myself staring at my screen, waiting…. Waiting… for the next event. I found the pauses a bit senseless. I ended up pick up a book to read in between the wait times.
Maybe players can overlook this. But I can’t play a game that makes me walk away for 5 minutes, click a single button, then wait another few minutes.

### 4/5 — Well designed, under developed

*2023-09-04, version 4.1.0*

Honestly this is a type of game I've been waiting a long time for. It is lacking in some areas though. I wish that your decisions had a bigger impact on the story, and that the missions weren't so repetitive. On the plus side, the art style, the descriptive story telling and the (admittedly low impact) character traits are all aspects of the game that make it worth playing.

In all fairness, it could be my play style that makes it repetitive, I have only had this game for a week so that could be the issue.

If nothing else this game is a good way to kill time while flying or out of service/wifi range.

### 2/5 — Repetitive, Disjointed, and Depressing

*2023-08-22*

I agree that there is a lot of potential here. Sadly the game is flawed. Play is not unending in that the story will come to the same end no matter what you choose so it has a feeling of helplessness. No matter what you do - it wont matter. Choices are repetitive and at times make no sense. You don't have autonomy as at times there is only one decison to choose. The action in the area around the wall is awful as the same exact scenarios come up every time, and the maps cannot be navigated properly. Springback and spinning if you to move round. Battle/exploraton and castle scenes can't be zoomed in on either. After a while it's just boring as you wont get anywere or accomplish anything no matter what.

### 4/5 — Absorbing concept.

*2023-07-09, version 4.1.0*

I find myself captivated by the situations which unfold. The music and UI is great, but I wish the game had more dialogue options. Oftentimes the choices felt a bit limited, but for a “free” game I admire the effort and creativity the developers put into this thing. I’d recommend this to others.

### 1/5 — Don’t is too small to read

*2023-04-23, version 4.1.0*

This is not a accessibility friendly game. The text is very small and there is no way to increase it.

### 1/5 — Micro Tiny Text

*2023-04-17, version 4.1.0*

I can only rate this a 1 star because without a magnifying glass I can’t play. The bad part is there is a lot of screen leftover. Why did you make the text so small?

### 2/5 — Not accessible

*2023-04-03, version 3.0.0*

The font size is far too small to read and there are no options to enlarge it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — so bad

*2025-02-28, version 4.1.0*

the text is made for ants. glaring incompetence the first thing that stands out. get a dayjob

### 1/5 — Can’t read anything

*2025-01-25, version 4.1.0*

I really want to play this game but I can’t read anything due to the small font size. Kind of important since it’s a text based game.

### 1/5 — Snorefest

*2024-12-16, version 4.1.0*

Firstly, what's with the itty bitty fonts? secondly this should be called an idle game given that you have to wait a damn lifetime for anything to happen.

### 1/5 — Font

*2024-10-16, version 4.1.0*

The font size in this game is extremely tiny for literally no reason. It’s not playable if you have even slightly bad vision.

### 1/5 — Slow and Poorly Designed

*2024-05-26*

This is typically the kind of game I enjoy, but the execution here is way off. First, there are a ton of decisions, but most are of limited variation and there is no clear consequence for choosing one over the other. Second, there is a pause between each choice, often for no reason.

The overall effect is like reading a Choose You Own Adventure book where the pages are 15 words, you are forced to wait 30-60 seconds after each choice, and the choices to you to the same page.

It’s like reading a bad book but slower and crappier.

### 1/5 — Played for 5 minutes and now it’s stuck

*2023-11-27, version 4.1.0*

I have a team digging in the ice and a team on an expedition and now nothing is happening. 5 minutes of game play seems a bit short…

Also, why is the font so small? I’m surprised Apple allowed this app with such poor accessibility into the Arcade.

### 1/5 — Needs updating

*2023-11-17, version 4.1.0*

As the title says, this needs updating for larger phones. The text is WAY too small on an iPhone 15 Pro Max and the Dynamic Island is where the game’s notifications go.

### 1/5 — It doesn’t get any better after the first 5 minutes.

*2023-10-11, version 4.1.0*

The game goes nowhere really. It could if some effort was put into it. I played for about a month hoping it would develop into something. Unfortunately it doesn’t. Play it for 1 day and you will have seen everything.

### 1/5 — Nothing happens

*2023-09-04, version 4.1.0*

You get new events every now and then, but I keep getting “clear forest”, “scout north of the wall” stuff and it does nothing for the story. There seems to be no way to progress to another lord commander, just sitting here for a week irl doing the same quests 400 times. Very boring and uninteresting.

### 1/5 — Text is way to small

*2023-05-03, version 4.1.0*

Is there a way to make the game text readable?

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good game but needs some other roles for night watch

*2025-02-23, version 4.1.0*

Like it so far but I would add you should have the option to elect a master at arms a maester and 1st builder that adds to the story.

### 5/5 — An Extraordinary Achievement

*2024-11-01, version 4.1.0*

One of the most innovative and exciting games I’ve ever played. Simply a work of art, and unbelievably beautiful at every level. I wish this genre had been popularised further after this game!

### 5/5 — Masterpiece

*2024-07-06*

Captures the storytelling and world of GoT but in easy to digest mobile game. Like seriously, this game design is leagues above others in the mobile space. An instant 5/5 for me and Im really hoping this team gets to make more GoT content (like maybe some King’s Landing centric tales?????)

On top of great storytelling- this is paced so well as a mobile game. I can pop on and off and because of it’s immersion thru good music, clean UI, and mobile game quest design I don’t lose my spot in the story or feel like I’ve lost what I did while away from the game.

### 5/5 — Relaxing Game, Beautiful Unique Graphics

*2023-10-27*

I've only been playing this for a week, but I love it so much. It's perfect when you need a break from work, because of the idling feature you have to close it periodically anyways. It's also nice music to have on in the background if you leave it open. I which I could interact more with the maps, zoom in more, rotate around. In the wide view, it kind of jumps around a bit and it seems kinda buggy. I'd also think it'd be cool to be able to watch and zoom in more on the NPC's on their expeditions, even if it is just them slowly walking somewhere lol. It's just a relaxing game and I think they could lean into that. I'm not far in so I'm not sure how deep the decision making goes, but it's my favorite thing to play right now :)

### 5/5 — Absolutely stunning scenery

*2023-10-26, version 4.1.0*

The scenery in this game is one of the best I’ve seen in a while (for a mobile game). The game’s journey through time, and the stories to where you could choose your own path is amazing. I would recommend this game to anyone looking for an adventure.

### 5/5 — Lots of potential

*2023-10-08*

I pray that this game gets the love it deserves and the developers care about it like their own child because the amount of outcomes and possibilities that could be implemented in the future are amazing. If there was anyway to encourage the developers to keep working hard on this game I’d take it in a heartbeat. My only personal request/recommendation is to add some difficulty so that commanding the watch truly is a hardship for the rugged commanders, to bring out your true grit and determination. My recommendation is that they add a tracker for supplies, manpower, and moral/loyalty. Of course it shouldn’t be to hard to maintain, in consideration of those that want an easy experience but their could be a difficulty setting to help remedy that. But to actually have to maintain your resources while also focusing on important tasks at hand would be an extraordinary addition to the game and help put you in the lord commander shoes even better.

### 5/5 — I like but can be improved

*2023-03-14, version 3.0.0*

I really enjoy this it just needs more to do.

### 5/5 — Love it so much!

*2022-11-22, version 3.0.0*

This game is amazing! It has a great story with a lot of mythology! If you like reading books for a long time, then if you have patience you will love this game!

### 5/5 — Great game with some bugs

*2022-10-20, version 3.0.0*

The story is so fresh and rich but one of brothers group is bugged and stuck outside.

It wasn’t bug, sry.

### 5/5 — Good game

*2022-09-02*

This game is story drive and events play out depending on your decisions. I’m not far into the game so I don’t know the kind of weight each decision has. I enjoy it because it’s a brief reprieve from my day to read a little bit about the men of the Nightwatch.

My only gripe is I can’t zoom in on the map and the font sometimes is too tiny. If there was a way to adjust the font size or zoom the map that would be cool.
