It is play to win and the spenders are not separated to compete amongst themselves, so people who just want to have fun have no chance. Mods do nothing about bullying, either. Story is also very boring, the plot makes little sense, and the character development is terrible. ### 2/5 — Exploitative, buggy, slop *2026-08-11, version 1.050.013* This game is full of exploitative dark patterns; you get drawn in and constantly hope it gets better. It does not. The more they add to the game, the buggier it gets, crashing constantly. For several days now, I have saved up my bats all day because I’m unable to continue battling because my wardens cannot defeat the boss in one go. Over the past few days or so I’ve noticed that as soon as the clock strikes midnight all of the bats that I had accumulated disappear and I can’t do anything about it. Everything else is untouched but it’s very frustrating because you HAVE to have bats to progress in the game and I don’t understand why mine keep disappearing. ### 3/5 — Play only if you are a bleeding heart liberal *2026-07-27, version 1.050.009* If you play by the game rules, you will be bullied out. There is a fairness doctrine that is forced on players, which totally defeats the games existence. Only recently hit elder lord but it was well worth it lol. I really like the main game and the side events that they do. They update the game pretty often which is a big relief since most games don’t care to adjust or fix anything. My only con would be the lack of attention when it comes to in-game bullying. They only take into account “conversations” or words that may have been offensive. Which doesn’t help when people find other ways to belittle you. People will kick you from tables and take titles you were going for just to be mean to you. However when reporting these things, the game does not see this as bullying but as the person playing the game as intended. I think there should be more awareness on how certain people are playing when they are reported for bullying. And when you realize that servers die quickly now because you can only win if you are willing to pay… AND THEN you switch servers hoping for better gameplay and realize that 70% of the players are being paid to play in the new server for a month and that new server you just spent time and money establishing a character in is probably gonna die too because there aren’t a lot of real players in it… great business model, but not so great for people who actually want to play the game. I used to love it but now it’s just a money dump. Then the 12.5M not paid but I was promised this would be rectified by freya Gupta at adgate and it’s been a month of daily proving my case. Albeit I’m over 17M I do enjoy the game, these platforms basically track everything you do. There’s clearly hacking and fraud and I actually can connect this to a fraud and corruption ring and violent crimes and worse so I hope they just pay up because by making a big deal when I’m killed for life insurance money etc by these fraudsters I’ve left a bread crumb. Get more bees with honey than vinegar. It would be sweet if they stopped acting so Machiavellian or Caesarian dictatorship patronizing peasants and simply just pay. If it was a tracking issue they can’t say it exists anymore because they could track enough to take payments under an account they can track enough to give a payment as well. In that time, I spent thousands of dollars on side events, RoW, anniversary events and the new money grabber called SIN. In the past 2 years I’ve only ever submitted a handful of tickets, the most recent for a redemption issue that was cause by the Discord Rep Julie posting the incorrect information on discord. Instead of alerting players of the incorrect information they glossed over it stating it was players fault for not redeeming. They rejected any form of compensation stating it wouldn’t be fair to other players not experiencing the issue when I’ve seen screenshots of other players receiving compensation for tickets on in-game glitches that they’ve never given as a widespread compensation despite knowing it was effecting all players. I’ve seen ss where they tell players that they acknowledge the in-game issues but since they fixed the problem, the player won’t receive compensation. The devs only prioritize those that they see as their big spenders. Don’t waste your time playing a game being developed by people who can care less about f2p players or those they don’t deem important. Just ask the high spenders, they can verify that there is even preference in treatment by their personal experts Lydia and Lexi from player to player. That said, if you want to keep up with the events and timelines without putting money in, you’d basically have to be active almost 24/7. The game definitely rewards consistency (and spending), but free-to-play is still very doable if you’re patient. Overall I really love it.
