### 4/5 — Nice game bro

*2016-11-26, version 3.4*

Hey, nice game bro. It's fun because you can evolve and it's really satisfying because you can see the money bar go up and you can go like 'Yes I'm making progress!!!'

### 3/5 — Fun but...

*2016-06-05, version 3.4*

It keeps crashing while I'm playing and every time it crashes I lose almost all my money

### 4/5 — Just Wonderful

*2016-05-22, version 3.4*

As a big fan of games, I just love how this game puts you in the shoes of an entire game company. The real-time like movement of time really adds pressure in release dates and timing in general. Very challenging, and research points are earned pretty slow, but overall, this is a wonderful game that is more than worth the cost!

### 4/5 — The game works well minus one issue

*2016-04-25, version 3.4*

When you create you own console that's costs upwards of 10 million dollars, the games you make for it never turn a profit no matter how many consoles you sell. I sold 600,000 consoles and the games I make for it have -700,000 profit even though they scored an 8.5/10 or even a 9/10 from critics. Not sure how to fix this bug/issue.

### 3/5 — Game breaking glitch!

*2016-03-11, version 3.4*

I was playing, doing hot, but then it refused to release my games. I hit release and nothing happened. This is game breaking and needs fixed.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2016-02-29, version 3.4*

I had a lot of fun with this game

### 3/5 — Need to be able to reload when making mistakes

*2016-02-24, version 3.4*

What I mean is when you play this game this happened to me when I bought a huge booth 3 mil I used all my money and ended up losing all my things due to not knowing how much it costs when I thought it was 3500 and not 3500000

### 3/5 — Dont Work

*2016-01-23, version 3.4*

I want play but the game does not open.

### 4/5 — Great game wish it were on Steam too

*2016-01-16, version 3.4*

Like the title says I wish it was on Steam even though it's along the lines of Game Dev Tycoon. I do like how much control I have over stuff though. I tried the first game and didn't really care for it, but didn't let that stop me from being interested in the sequel.

While yes it takes ideas from other games like it, I like actually having teams to work on multiple stuff instead of "great you have 16 people but they ALL have to work on the same project". It was nice to work on an MMO while Team 2 were pushing out games to bring in money still. It's especially nice when your having one team work on an MMO update and still have some people making games.

Consoles are a little pointless outside of them being locked on the market for 10yrs so you could have multiple consoles selling at once. But designing games for your own consoles is pointless cuz they make literally nothing in revenue. It's nice though having my NG 2000 in its last couple of years and releasing the NG 3000 console and having both bring in around $750,000 combined each month while my employee payments are around $600,000 a month. That's really the only reason I create consoles, I have the extra cash and they make their cost back within that 10yrs plus cover employee cost each month.

In the end, I give it 4 out of 5 for being a solid game but could use some updates to fix a couple things. I also wish it were on Steam cuz I fly through my iPhone's battery lol. I'd like to see the developer make a 3rd game, they have some of the same features as other games like it but also it does stand out from the rest, plus on Steam you'd be on PC and more power, better graphics (nothing against the current ones)

### 5/5 — Great Game

*2016-01-15, version 3.4*

Overall fantastic game. I do t have any real complaints, and if you're a gamer, you'll love this simulation game!

### 5/5 — Better than the last one

*2016-01-07, version 3.4*

This is the best game ever on the App Store

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2016-01-04, version 3.4*

Sorry for the past review i was new to the game and did not know were the profit comes

### 4/5 — Almost There

*2015-12-23, version 3.4*

There's a few things I want to see on this game but you probably won't be able to put some of those things on there, so, the main I would like this game to have is more genres and themes. I don't think we want to use want to use the same stuff. So let us get a little more creative! :)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bugs and Glitches

*2016-05-26, version 3.4*

This has happened to me several times after deleting and reinstalling the game. When I get really far (I've passed the current year and nothing new is able to come out) a glitch prevents me from creating games. I pressed "Release Game" and then the game was gone. It didn't publish, I didn't get any money, so I wasted thousands of the in game money and nothing happened. Now, I have a game that has been made, but there's no option to release it. I have thousands of dollars and t was fun, and now the only thing I'm able to do is sit around and wait for the company to go bankrupt. Because this has happened to me multiple times, I gave the game one star. It does everything it's supposed to and is a good game until this happens, but this game breaking glitch is enough to lower my rating of a 5 star game to a 1 star.

### 1/5 — Waste my money

*2016-04-26, version 3.4*

Want my money back!

### 1/5 — Horribly buggy, almost unplayable

*2016-03-17, version 3.4*

This game is fun but numerous bugs make it unplayable after getting far enough along in the game.

* Games released for your own consoles sell ridiculously abysmally. I released a console which sold about half as well as the "MES" and released a game-of-the-year, perfect 10.0 game that sold so poorly I lost over a million dollars on it. Similar games released on the "MES" or fake Sega consistently made 1-2 million in profit.

* Games developed for your own consoles are listed as being developed for the PC or Atari 2600 in the Game Info screen. Is that why they sell so poorly, because a glitch in the game makes it think they are for a system no longer on the market?

* Games for your own consoles cost way too much to make compared to other consoles: 4-5x as much. Why?

* Using more than one team is next to impossible. To release a game for the second team while the first is developing one, for example, you have to wait for the status bar to manually cycle through options until it shows the second team's game. This can only happen when the game is unpaused, so this means your second team will be sitting idle for 1 month+ waiting for the option to release their game.

* You can spend research points while the game is paused, but the research point meter doesn't update until the game is unpaused, which gets frustrating.

* Doing contract work always defaults to the second team, even if it is empty, meaning I'm constantly having to move people over to the second team to work on a contract I mean to assign to the first

* Hype disappears stupidly fast, which means if your second team is working on a game it will be all gone by the time the status bar finally cycles to the team so you can release the game.

* Maintenance costs for MMO keep going up exponentially, which is not realistic. Did Blizzard have to double what it paid to host its WoW servers each year? It makes MMO games next-to-impossible to make money on.

* longer development cycles seem to have no meaningful effect on game scores.

* In-house games don't affect custom console sales very much. It seems like a game-of-the-year might increase sales of your console by a few thousand at best. Combined with the guaranteed horrible sales mentioned above, there is literally no reason to develop games for your own console, and no reason to develop your own console unless you like throwing away $20 million dollars you spent hours working for.

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2016-03-04, version 3.4*

Good game but Game crashes every time I am trying to create hardware. It's annoying.

### 1/5 — wwwwwwwooooooooooooowwwwwwww

*2016-02-05, version 3.4*

i am a triple a dev by now and i hated the part when i was nearly finished with a game den it crashed and when i got back i was in the low hundreds when i used to be in the thousands 10/10 would rage again over a game in a game

### 1/5 — Not so good

*2016-01-06, version 3.4*

The game brakes every time I try and do something so can I get my money back I'd really appreciate it, thanks.

### 1/5 — Stole kariosofts game

*2015-12-03, version 3.4*

Stole kariosofts game

### 1/5 — Glitched

*2015-10-25, version 3.4*

Had a thriving company making hit games until I moved my employees to a different project before releasing the game they just completed. This made it impossible to release the game and no way to assign that team a different project since it said they were still working on a game. Instantly made it unplayable and caused all the time I spent playing it to be wasted. Fix the problem so I can try and salvage my game and I will change my rating. If you don't fix the glitches then every great aspect of this game is negated since your just building up the frustration you'll feel once it glitches. UI is also in general frustrating, but much more manageable then these other reviewers make it out to be.

### 2/5 — Blatant Ripoff of Game Dev Tycoon

*2016-04-24, version 3.4*

This game blatantly rips off Game Dev Tycoon for the PC. If you enjoyed this game, look up Game Dev Tycoon.

### 2/5 — A bit boring.

*2015-08-16, version 3.4*

Not a lot to do during production cycles. Salaries are tough to keep up with. Lags, even on latest hardware.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 10 out of 10

*2020-03-27, version 4.3*

Would bite again

### 5/5 — Cool

*2017-08-20, version 3.4*

It's a good game if you survive the debts that it throws my recommendation is get 2,000$ and MMO research before getting the 2 studio

### 5/5 — Love

*2017-06-18, version 3.4*

It Is awesome

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2017-06-06, version 3.4*

This was a great game there are only a couple of bugs I have experienced, myself. I think the mmo aspect is very cool and adds another layer of depth to this great game. I recommend this game to everyone, as it is a blast to play!

### 5/5 — So much fun

*2016-09-12, version 3.4*

I absolutely love this game. And the only thing that bugged me is that you start in the 70s. Why do I have a big screen tv and a top notch computer. Shouldn't I start with a computer back then and upgrade it. But I still love it. It's so addictive

### 5/5 — Amazing (And Idea) 💡👌🏻👍🏻

*2016-06-28, version 3.4*

This Game Was Amazing But I Noticed You Released Another One. Maybe do you think you can Make A Game That lets you Pick What You Want To Be e.x: Game developer, Restaurant Owner, Science Lab Owner, Etc The ideas of a game like that are endless. I would develop a game like that but sadly I don't Know how to code. 😞

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2016-06-18, version 3.4*

I really enjoy this game

### 5/5 — Great game I recommend

*2016-05-29, version 3.4*

This game is epic it's fun being able to create games and consoles and game engines getting a whole company and becoming famous enough and win awards! Get it it's worth the money!

### 5/5 — Can't Stop

*2016-05-26, version 3.4*

Really smart, fun strategy game. Lots of little details to manage and room for creativity, I've hardly stopped playing since I got it and I'm not one for mobile games. Hoping for future updates and content, but as is this game is really, really good.

### 5/5 — Best Game I've Ever Played

*2016-05-05, version 3.4*

Game Studio Tycoon 2 is one of the best games I've ever played. While I've never been able to play Game Studio Tycoon 1, I feel it would have been good but nothing compared to this game. When I first opened the game I fell in absolute love with it. I knew it was worth the money. The first time I played I failed but it only made me want to succeed and play the game more. All in all Game Studio Tycoon 2 is a remake of Game Dev Tycoon but it's better in every which way!
