When it works. *2024-05-01, version 3.0.7* Getting it to work with my iPad was a chore and required several messages from the responsive tech support- have to be holding the iPad on its side when installing it otherwise it won’t work. Most of the time, it just stops working, requiring one to uninstall and reinstall it. I like it when it’s working but it’s really more like a weekend science project alpha build. If I had it to do over, I wouldn’t spend any money on it until all the bugs are worked out of it. **Update** Gave this another try in Elite Dangerous. Obviously they have not made much headway. Many of the bindings don’t work at all. Emphasis seems to be on getting users to subscribe, not in offering a quality product. ### 3/5 — Could Be Better *2022-01-16, version 3.0.7* I have been crashing and much less stable with my otherwise incredibly stable 9700k, 32g Corsair, 2080 build at stock clocks, in both Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen using my iPad Pro for buttons. I mainly use my iPad for navigation while playing Elite but that isn’t really possible with this app. If you shrink it down to navigate with Road to Riches this app then makes you sign in with your complete email and password when returning. Ugh. Input lag was out of control on the non-official shards I tried, while the official ones were instant. The official shards for Elite looked very dated and none were very easy to read from distance or at a glance with muted colors and small writing. They advertise “Thousands of games”. Yes you can makes shards yourself, if you have tons of time, for lots of games, but there’s only pre-made shards for very few at best and many say they’re alphas. The app has potential, I subbed for the year and I’m kind of sorry I did because right now, I feel it’s a bare bones experience at best. ### 2/5 — Overhyped *2022-01-05, version 3.0.7* Okay when it works, but more often - it does not. Lags, not loading PREMIUM shards, buttons on Avionics shard for Star Citizen has some buttons WITHOUT actions bounded to them. Utterly disappointed. Mapped all needed buttons to my HOSAS and ditched this garbage ### 5/5 — Game Changer! *2021-08-21, version 3.0.6* I’ve been using GameGlass with Star Citizen for a few months and play with it on an iPad in between a pair of t16000 sticks. I love the setup. I have started experimenting with the Forge which is pretty cool and useful as well. Support is very good. Anytime I have reached out, I have gotten a quick reply. This is definitely worth the try, especially if you play any sim games. ### 3/5 — Ehh *2021-05-17, version 3.0.4* Worked just fine no issue, just kind of pointless when you already have all the key bindings memorized. It’s faster to use they keyboard then take your eyes off, find the button on the smooth touch screen then use the app. ### 4/5 — Amazing Concept, okay execution *2020-10-24, version 0.0.73* I love this. I really do. And if you have an iPad and play Star Citizen it is one of the most fun third party tools beside head tracking and a HOTAS flight stick that i have ever used. Yes there are connection problems but I am just happy someone made this at all. ### 2/5 — Great concept, sadly not robust *2020-06-24, version 0.0.69* Tried this for Elite Dangerous. I like the concept and when it worked I enjoyed the tool but sadly connection was pretty hit and miss. I initially connected fine, then went back and no connection possible. Reboot, connect, sometimes not. It also requires specific keybinds which interferes with VoiceAttack/HOTAS. One can work around this, but it just wasn’t worth it because of the irregular connection issues. There’s not really any ‘new’ keys, it’s an innovative graphical representation of actions you can bind to your keyboard or HOTAS. 5 stars for concept, 2 for execution because of the connection issues. Maybe it’ll improve with time. ### 2/5 — Good. Install both the software on my iPad and PC. The iPad is on WiFi the gaming pc is hard wired to same router. I have a small net gate firewall between my router and gaming pc. Can only assume that is stopping connection. No way to alter the ip to find my pc in their software so it’s no good to me. Removed my net gate firewall and it worked fine. ### 2/5 — Don’t work in ED *2020-03-21, version 0.0.69* iPhone X, iPhone 11, iPad 4, Elite dangerous don’t work at all ! Always Snap error, all the time :( ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Used it Twice *2026-02-21, version 5.1.2* And immediately crashed my PC to black. Not even running other apps. And before the dev chimes in with “ChECk YoUR SySTeM…” Get bent. Runs Star Citizen on max among a variety of other apps without a hiccup. Ran this garbage twice and it crashed my PC both times. ### 1/5 — Failed at login! *2025-10-23, version 5.0.0* Couldn’t even log in on first use?! As soon as I use one of the account types to log in, infinite spinning wheel. Complete fail! ### 1/5 — Discontinued *2022-12-29, version 3.0.7* This app service has been discontinued. If you install it you will only get a connecting to host sign that ends with a connection error. ### 1/5 — Limited functionality sneaky billing. *2022-11-06, version 3.0.7* At first i thought this was a good product, but to be honest i never use it as it’s quite useless and works with few titles. I use the IPad as a MFD for several sims including MSFS, Elite Dangerous and Star Citizen. The ease of configuring the shards for custom keystrokes and macros has made the complex key maps so much easier to use and immersive. Between my HOTAS setup and GG MFDs I have made, I don’t need the keyboard anymore while in my sims. As someone who not only enjoys the sims themselves, but also “nerding out” on designing shards to function as displays for the sims, I definitely recommend it! ### 5/5 — Useful and improving *2025-05-24, version 4.2.3* There has been regular addition of features since launch, and the ability to create your own interfaces makes this system infinitely customizable and extremely useful. ### 5/5 — It’s the best *2025-04-30, version 4.2.2* I love using this app for Star Citizen. I’ve had several reiterations of it and each time they updated it gets better. I use it with star citizen and I thoroughly enjoy it.
