### 1/5 — Didn’t load game guide on app.

*2020-12-25, version 1.1.1*

Didn’t check if the website would be any different but purchased a game guide and nothing loaded after I “downloaded” the guide. Tried with other free guides and the same issue. Unless that gets fixed, I don’t recommend purchasing guides in-app or using this app in general.

### 1/5 — I paid for a guide and received nothing.

*2020-12-13*

Downloaded the app and then paid for a guide. Guide did not have any content. Surprised this got a pass by Apple as an application.

**Developer response:** Dear Darylblk,

we are sorry to hear that and - we believe - that's a minor bug we will try to find and fix as soon as possible. To get the guide from us, please leave us a message: support@gamepressure.com.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
GGG Team

### 1/5 — Free game guides?

*2020-10-19*

Went to look up blueprint locations in dying light and it’s $4 a pop when I can just spend a little extra time on YouTube looking around.

### 1/5 — No game guides just books

*2020-05-10, version 1.0.3*

Don’t get

### 1/5 — Deceiving Company

*2020-02-18*

Their guides may, or may not, be good. I don’t know because the name of this says FREE Game Guides. The basic app is free, but if you want a guide, it’s not. The guides will cost you money. For each one. I refuse to do business with any company that has to use deception to try trick me into buying their product. I might have considered it if they’d been honest up front.

### 1/5 — FREE ?

*2019-12-11, version 1.0.3*

WHY SAY IT’S FREE,THEN ASK FOR MONEY ?

### 1/5 — Wolf in sheep’s clothing

*2019-11-16*

I was hoping to find some tips and info to help me start a new character in D&D Neverwinter. I went online to search for some helpful tips and found their website. I saw there was an app, and even after reading a few recently posted reviews, I still decided to get the app-just trying to be the skeptic. The few reviews I did read were spot on. There was no true first-time player tips for Neverwinter, and on top of that, the few guides I did find we’re going to charge me to get them. What kind of FREE app is that???? The developers of this app really need to go back to the drawing board and fix it, if they want more than 2 star rating. Seriously, I am a noob on my XBOX and would really like to know what I am doing and play online w/ my son-who has special needs and is sad I don’t know how to play.

### 1/5 — Only 10 guides they select each week is free

*2019-07-19*

Read a decent game guide off of gamepressure.com and decided to try the app recommended on the page. Turns out you have to pay for all the guides and only 10 guides selected by the developers weekly are free. I searched for recent games that’ve been released within the last year and did not find any new game either. Why would the app be called free game guides when the majority you have to pay for?

### 1/5 — No free guides

*2019-06-09, version 1.0.3*

Called free game guides have to pay

### 1/5 — $5-6 for incomplete guides

*2019-02-18, version 1.0.3*

Travelling in China at the moment, where so many websites are
blocked that I haven’t been able to access some of the better free FAQs and guides out there. So I decided to buy what I needed using this app.

At $6 for a guide, I was expecting something really thorough.

*Not even close*.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2018-10-05*

I downloaded this app for a specific game guide I was looking at online. Turns out there’s no choice in which guides you can get unless you purchase them. Very misleading

### 1/5 — It’s a lie .

*2018-03-22*

You can 10 new guides daily that you don”t get to choose but they cost real money

### 1/5 — Every Page is Blank

*2017-08-14*

There are headings but zero game guides, all the pages are completely blank. The search function does not work, it simply gives you a blank white page. The website is helpful so I decided to download their app but it does not work. If the developer updates to fix this I'd give a better rating!

### 1/5 — Why would anyone pay for guides that you can get for free anywhere else on the internet?

*2017-01-29, version 1.0.3*

Seriously...

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2016-11-01, version 1.0.2*

Won't download any of the "free" guides. Don't bother downloading.

### 1/5 — What an absolute joke

*2016-08-30, version 1.0.2*

Wow!!! I can't believe I now have all the convenience of an app that'll only charge me six dollars for a guide that these guys have free on their website

Thank god for the prompts begging me to download the app, I never would have known how to throw money in the bin otherwise...

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App seems broken

*2025-10-04, version 1.1.3*

Broken

### 1/5 — This app could have been better!

*2021-11-12*

I don’t mean no disrespect but this app is awful, paying $4 or $5 for a guide and it’s easily better to look up what you need on any website like PSN profiles, PlaystationTrophies, trueachievements etc. but downloading a app then wanting a guide for a game but finding out you have to pay money for it is ridiculous, 2nd thing wrong with this app there ain’t hardly any games you want a guide for and when you expect help with anything on a game you can’t look it up because as I said this app hardly has any games.

This needs a list of all games from PS3 to PS5, Xbox 360 to Xbox Series X but again this app is pretty bad and would NOT recommend…Sorry but if this app was improved A LOT then I would give this app a better rating but it’s not worth downloading!!!

### 1/5 — If you buy this app

*2021-06-07*

You would have to be completely stupid to pay for an app that you can get the information from your web browser for free. People nowadays are that stupid. This app is a complete waste of store space

### 1/5 — Bad

*2021-05-13*

The website is awesome and extremely useful but the app is the complete opposite. Charging $4.99 for a guide that’s free on the site doesn’t make sense. You can’t even find most of the guides on the app!

### 1/5 — Basically a scam

*2021-04-20*

Website is great, but the app is a borderline scam. A fraction of the content on their website, and a single short guide costs $4!!?

### 1/5 — Even preview page is blank

*2021-02-06*

This is not a minor bug, this is incompatible with 4 different OS

### 1/5 — Broken app.

*2021-01-27, version 1.1.1*

The app charges for the guide you want, even though it’s free on the web. To add insult to injury the guide is blank once downloaded. No reply from support after 24hrs.

### 1/5 — Empty game guides

*2021-01-27*

I tried downloading a free guide but all I got was blank pages!

### 1/5 — Really bad

*2021-01-08, version 1.1.1*

Can view free on internet but ask to pay here, would rather just use your website which is FREE. Don’t advertise for free if it’s not really free.

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2020-12-26, version 1.1.1*

Charges money for guide and on top of that they don’t work when you try to view guide or download them. Requesting my money back.

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Cash app

*2023-06-28, version 1.1.3*

Cash app me

### 2/5 — Great guides, terrible app

*2021-10-07, version 1.1.3*

I don’t mind paying for the guides. They are worth it if you are stuck on a game.

The app itself is terrible though. The UI is straight from 2007. Nothing seems to get remembered, table of contents doesn’t work. Ultimately it’s easier to just use the website.
