## What is Gander Live?

See what’s happening anywhere, without being there.

Gander connects you with nearby people who can serve as your eyes and ears at a location. Send a Gander to check something in person, then receive live video and real-time updates directly from your phone.

USE GANDER TO:

• Check lines, crowds, and wait times
• View apartments, homes, and neighborhoods remotely
• Confirm whether an item is available at a store
• Preview venues, events, restaurants, and local attractions
• Check the condition of a property or location
• Get real-time visual information before making a trip
• Request other lawful, location-based observation tasks

HOW IT WORKS

Enter the location you want someone to visit.
Describe what you need the Gander to see or verify.
Review available Ganders by distance, estimated arrival time, rating, and language.
Select a Gander and follow their progress to the destination.
Connect through live video, audio, text, or on-screen directional commands.
Receive the information you need and complete payment securely in the app.

EARN AS A GANDER

Turn your free time into earning opportunities by helping people who need a trusted person at a nearby location. Browse available requests, choose the ones that work for you, travel to the destination, and provide the requested live view or update.

You decide which requests to accept and when you are available.

BUILT FOR FLEXIBILITY

Requesters can communicate using video, audio, text, or directional controls. Ganders can choose how they communicate and are not required to show their faces during a session.

Gander should only be used for lawful requests at public locations or places where the requester and Gander have permission to be. Availability and services may vary by location. Gander is not an emergency service.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-17

Sharper live video and a smoother call flow.

• Live video is now 1080p on every connection, Wi-Fi or cellular. If your signal can't keep up, Gander automatically drops to 720p and climbs back to 1080p as soon as it can, so you always get the clearest picture your connection allows.
• Ganders now see their own camera full-screen during a call, so it's easy to frame exactly what the requester is seeing.
• Straight into the call: when your Gander rings, or when a requester picks up, the app takes you right to the session screen. Tapping the notification does the same.
• The live tracking map keeps both your Gander and the destination in view.
• Gander now lets you know when a newer version is required.
• Your app version is shown on the Account screen and included automatically when you contact support.
• Clearer wording across payment status, booking and session messages.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-15

This update makes maps more reliable and fixes several issues reported during testing.

• Maps now load reliably on every device, with a cleaner, faster map style.
• Chat during a live request opens full-screen so it's easier to read and reply. Tap the arrow to tuck it away.
• Ganders can now cancel an assigned or in-progress request without errors. Requesters are never charged when a Gander cancels.
• Cancelled requests no longer linger in your Active list.
• Fixed the front/back camera switch during live video.
• Turning your camera off during a live session no longer freezes your preview.
• General stability improvements.
