## What is Garage Door Controller GDC App?

This is the free companion app for our retrofit kit to add IOT (Internet of Things) functionalities to your garage door opener. For the price of a garage door keypad or a remote control, you can have this retrofit kit to provide control of your garage door to every member of your family. By installing this app, each member can enjoy the following features:
- Open or close your garage door from anywhere
- Check the status of the door
- Get notified if door was left open
- Have the door open automatically when coming home (GPS required)
- Check door activities (open/close) with time stamps

### 2.2.1 — 2021-11-10

This version supports 2 garage doors. Three Siri shortcuts (commands) also implemented: Door status, Open door and Close door.

### 2.2.0 — 2021-09-21

The verbiage for setup instruction has been updated in this version. Everything else remains the same. It is a fully functional companion app for Home IOT Products' Garage Door Controller (GDC).

### 2.1.9 — 2021-07-13

Multi-language support is added in this release. Languages supported are English, French, Spanish and Chinese. Everything else works the same. ### 2.1.7 — 2021-06-13

Garage Door Controller (GDC) Firmware Update function is added in this version. Everything else works the same. It is a fully functional companion app for GDC which is available from Amazon by searching for Smart Garage Door Retrofit Kit.

### 2.1.6 — 2021-05-25

This is a fully functional GDC companion app. In this version, door open-close notification option is available. During device pairing with the app, Bonjour Service is used. In IOS14, Bonjour Service needs to be declared in info.plist together with Privacy - Local Network Usage Description. These requirements are implemented in this release. These changes do not affect users running IOS13 or older. Everything else is the same as in previous release.
