Would love to see a complication added for watch faces. ### 5/5 — Simple, just works... *2020-06-28* Nicely done package on watch. Paired as second device after the iPhone. Pairing was trivial. And so far it just works. Easy to go on walks with nothing but the watch and using garage as exit/entry. ### 5/5 — You need the GarageMate receiver *2020-06-17* You need the GarageMate Bluetooth receiver for this to work. If you have trouble pairing make sure you aren’t already paired in your Watch’s Bluetooth Settings. If you are, unpair (forget this device) and try again and it will work perfectly. If you have multiple garages, just turn the crown to switch. For support, send an email to the address on the App’s Support screen which you can find by tapping the gear on the lower right. I follow all the directions and the settings seem to be correct. Please provide a solution. **Developer response:** Hi. Do you own a GarageMate receiver ? Other than that we have no compatibility issues. Can you email us (the address is on the support page our App) if you are still having trouble. If you are not using a GarageMate receiver would you please reconsider your review. We try our best to let people know this is meant for current GarageMate users. We aren't sure what to do. We want to make it for free for our users but at the same time anyone can just post a 1 star review without having read the description. Worked fine before that. ### 4/5 — Was excited *2020-08-31* I was really excited when I saw this. Downloaded it and the install was easy. It works great to open the garage if I am inside the garage or to put the garage door down. It will not, however, open the garage door from outside. The signal is not strong enough. I have a newer house with a lightweight metal garage door. Sometimes I have to move my iPhone around to get garage mate to open my door from outside so the problem may be unique to me. It would be nice to go walking without my phone but that didn’t happen. Thank you Developer for your prompt response. That is great customer service. I have an Apple Watch series 5 so I don’t think the watch is the issue. My garage mate is 4 years old. Would that matter? Thanks so much **Developer response:** Thank you for your review and sorry for the trouble. Could you let us know which Apple Watch model you have. Our company only field tested Series 3 and later. Perhaps the Series 1 and 2 watch have a lower signal strength. But we were definitely impressed by the Series 3 Watch so we didn't we didn't anticipate any range issues. Also most of our customers have a metal door so that shouldn't be the issue. One possible consideration that might help is the angle you hold your arm. With a watch, unlike a phone, there is a much greater chance your body tissue is what is blocking the signal. Thank you and we hope this message helped. ### 4/5 — Works! Very handy for when it’s difficult to take out phone. *2020-06-21* It did crash a couple times when trying to sync but I believe I was not doing it correctly. It also crashes when using but after a couple more tries it will work. Once I got the watch synced I took the dogs for a walk and it worked when I returned home. Then I sat about 40 ft away and it crashed a few times but It worked eventually. Needs a fix for that but still love it! **Developer response:** Hi Dirk. Thanks for the review. We are releasing a new version (4.0.3) later today that should fix this random crash problem. Could you please email us or update your review then to let us know if it solved the problems you encountered. Our internal testing hasn't shown this issue so it is difficult to be sure on our end. I really appreciate the addition of Apple Watch functionality. ### 5/5 — Love the convenience! *2023-07-30, version 8* I use this app on my phone as well as my watch and love the convenience of it. It’s simple and easy to use. I enjoy walking and quite often leave my phone behind. As I approach my driveway, I use my watch to open my garage door and walk right in. The developers were so helpful and attentive to the issue. EDIT TO ADD: I am using an SE Watch and the developers have been incredibly responsive about the issue via email. Updating my star rating from 1 to 4 based on excellent customer service alone. As soon as the issue is resolved, I’ll be updating to 5 stars. Thank you, GarageMate! This app is not working on Apple Watch version 7.4. My husband’s watch is still on 7.3.3 and his app is working. I’ve emailed the developer to report the issue. **Developer response:** Hi.
