It’s ruins my rhythm plus I need to play the game for a while before I can accurately rate a game. When you start asking after 15 minutes of playing and every few minutes after that you can’t rate it with any accuracy and you upset the player. I thought I would be sent to the next level through the hole itself, but it just let me know that was it I completed the one level. You should be able to go through the worm hole to a whole new level if you get that far. Also. I feel there should be more to do. Maybe a side game to continue playing. This game is lacking in graphic battles. The cards should have more action to them like if the characters jumped out of there card to attack the opposite card. It’s addicting, simple & if you’re like me & love GPK characters then you’ll love this game as well! I was born, grew up, & still am in the sports/non sports card hobby traveling around to shows, selling online, etc. My first set I ever built on my own was a GPK set in 1991 when I was 5yrs old. But lots of bugs... *2021-03-02, version 1.4.156* I really want to like this game. But like many others, I have had a ton of issues. After sounding like $100 for upgrades and coins, ect., I have had the game completely delete my account. Which took many emails and days to fix. Then had the game charge me 1,000 jewels for an upgrade and then freeze. Didn’t give me the upgrade but charged me. Then I spent about 3 1/2 million coins. And got a message saying that the rewards were having “issues” and expected to be repaired within a few days. Did I ever receive my rewards? Nope. This is absolutely unacceptable for a game charging you money. Small dev team or not, if they can’t get their act together, Topps needs to revoke the license. Because this damages their brand. ### 3/5 — Login issue *2021-02-26, version 1.4.156* Not sure if it’s an issue with the game but I have been playing for almost a week now and finally started unlocking other characters then the base ones they give you which is hard because they barely give you any resources from arena unless your in the top 100 and you cant get any packs for gems you have to spend money but when I logged in today my account is gone it started the whole thing over with the story and I’m logged into my Game Center so i don’t know what’s going on ### 5/5 — Great game! *2021-02-25, version 1.4.156* I really enjoy playing this game! The animations are great, and it’s really fun to get to collect all of the GPK characters. When I ran into a bug, I contacted customer service, and they were very responsive, and fixed the issue quickly. It really brings me back to my days of card trading. I totally wish I had money so that I can purchase things but since COVID-19 I lost my job, my apartment, and my vehicle to a drunk driver. The more I play the more I realize this might be another game where one Hass to spend money to get to a certain point. I collected all of these cards as a kid and kick myself for not keeping them. I love the old characters of the many GPKs I have in my collection. Only real drawback is a lot of waiting, but the actual gameplay is fun. Definitely recommend to give it a try. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Last ditch effort to recover account-no response from support *2023-06-13* After numerous attempts to reach GPK game support, I am writing a one star review to detail my terribly disappointing experience with Garbage Pail Kids after being a loyal and active player for nearly 3 years. Recently, my account was completely wiped out when an update was pushed out. I had most cards, maxed out at that time and a vast surplus of currency in Worm Wars. I’ve always been logged into game center, so I don’t know what happened. What I do know happened is I got ghosted when making numerous attempts to retrieve my account. This is not an isolated issue. Numerous others have reported similar issues, but were able to get their account restored after multiple frustrating attempts at customer care. If you’re planning on downloading the game, I would highly advise you to not spend any money because it could be lost at the next upgrade with little to no recourse. Just so disappointed after spending so much time in this app, plus being a longtime fan of GPK digital and physical cards. ### 1/5 — Nostalgia activated *2023-01-26, version 1.28.116* Updated review: NO WAY TO CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVIce. The game is not listed as an option to use on the form. Also, the Ally Card packs are gone.. (packs you can buy from ally coins earned) ——————————————— Love the simple gameplay and graphics.. And it definitely brings on the nostalgia factor being an 80’s kid.. But this games biggest problem is the same as ever other game of this genre, perhaps even worse, the PAYWALL!!! The amount of time it takes for energy to reboot is insane.. It’s hard to get hooked on a game when you can’t play it, but during a certain window of time.. Sure you can pay money, but with drop rates in the bad to really stupid bad percentages, no thank you.. I was eagerly awaiting this game for over a year. It’s fun at first. You level quickly. But after a point there is a huge gold bottleneck. I play several times daily, do all the missions etc but after a week or so and after buying gold with gems I have enough to make one character max starred or power up a few. So as it stands I’ve got about 7 toons I can’t level and no one beyond 60 power even though I’m level 70. The thing is: it doesn’t matter either. The game is soooo basic nothing is going on. No teams. No guilds. No need for maxed out toons. With minimal stars and power I crushed the whole game and collected every toon. So what now? I guess spend more time on one of the many other games just like this one that have so much more going on. Edit December- The developer has stopped supporting this game and has no plans for future development. It was a quick money grab and nothing more. The app sells items in its store that you need gems (in game currency) to purchase. Those items are not a set amount but are chance purchases. Where they are failing to adhere to the policies is that they provide none whatsoever odds and percentages of what you may acquire when purchasing. It has even been brought to jagos attention by the community of players on their forum. Without any response if they will fix that violation. This app is a complete rip off from another app. Jago studios constantly complains that they’re a small team as an excuse for not fixing simple things that have been broken or missing since the start. Jago has made it plainly clear they can not handle the GPK app. So I suggest that Topps and GPK company move in and remove Jago studios from the GPK brand name all together. **Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback and understand the frustrations that come with bugs. Even through all the bugs and fixes, it’s a great game but be careful of buying gems. I bought the $9.99 & the gems were never added to my account. When I emailed them about them, it’s been 1 & a 1/2 month run around and they have charged my account twice without my permission At $5.99 each & no gems were added either time! I just happen to get a email receipt for them. It’s a shame that u have people that are willing to support the game and you take advantage of them! The game will freeze up in the middle of matches and support center I go to for help tells me it my IPhone XS Max FUALT that’s making the game freeze/crash-bug.. I spent a go amount of money on this app game cuz I love garbage pail kids and I wanted to do go in the arena matches for a great rank!! Well,,,,, everyday I go to play in the arena(which you only get 5 matches a day to play) and for the last 3days now it will freeze up and not give any chance to pick anything and cuz a loss in arena and mess up the rank!!!😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 This is why this game is trash and will end up being a waste!!!! It really is unfortunate that it takes the game developers quite awhile for game updates. I ended up deleting the game, after glitches in the arena would cause you to not be able to finish your game. Because there isn’t a best player win scenario, you lose the game and lose your entry as well. I contacted the developer but they have yet to fix the issues. It’s fun for nostalgia. But it lacks the development for a great game! ### 2/5 — So many others do it better *2019-05-24, version 1.0.1* This game is the epitome of “meh.” There’s nothing terribly inspired about the gameplay or combat system and the character animations are minimalistic. My biggest gripe is that this is a game based on a product that was available through the purchase of card packs. You know what you get when you buy a card pack in this game? TOKENS that equal the fraction of a single card that you can eventually trade in for said card once you’ve amassed enough tokens. MADNESS.
