They have a great selection of plants, shrubs, and trees. They allow you to upload a photo of your garden and add plants, the app creates a list of the plants you used (common names or latin), and you can see the design through the seasons. Now, please add the ability to turn that design into a plantable plan - or from a plan into a 3-D view - either would be 💓 ### 2/5 — Keeps crashing *2024-09-21* This app keeps crashing on me. Sometimes I’ll add my additions to an image and it freezes and I can’t continue, sometimes it just reverts back to the original image. I also found it doesn’t always save my project. It says “saved” but then I hit open and there isn’t anything there. A couple other items of note: 1. Textures need more options. There isn’t even mulch. (But they do have meadow, odd since mulch would probably get more use) 2. I don’t feel like there is enough options under structures. I wish they had more colors to choose from in the few structures they have. 3. I wan’t to be able to add a hedge and what they have just doesn’t work right. 4. There isn’t enough plants and varieties of plants to choose from. I really wanted this app to work well. I like that it’s not a subscription. I’m so sick of every app wanting a monthly subscription… ridiculous! I hope they fix the bugs and start adding more options. ### 3/5 — Not enough plant species *2023-10-01* Great app in concept. But there are not enough plants to make it worth the expense. Not even close. ### 2/5 — Can’t import an image *2023-05-24* There isn’t a way to import your own image to start creating your design. Kind of defeats the whole point of the app. ### 1/5 — Do not buy! *2022-04-20, version 2.9.1* This app does not function properly. It’s a huge waste of your money. I just barely purchased and now I want a refund. ### 1/5 — Worthless *2022-02-20* Basically stole $8 from me. You have to pay to use your own picture as a background, and then even after paying to unlock more plants the selection is still extremely narrow. It’s impossible to resize plants so they are realistic and the “horizon line” isn’t helpful at all. ### 3/5 — Has Potential, Lacks Content *2022-01-13* The app is great but the free options aren’t enough to design anything you could actually use in your own yard. Unfortunately if you purchase all 4 packs for $16 you only get the locked items you see in the free version. I would definitely purchase in the future, if the content was enough to cover the basics here in Northeastern United States. The content seems vague and is severely limited at this time. I will be on the lookout in the future for enough content to make purchase worthwhile. Unfortunately there just isn’t anything in the app store for designing or planning a garden that’s affordable. These apps are strictly marketed towards the upper middle class and the wealthy. ### 1/5 — Run *2021-10-04* I spend more money than I ever thought I would on this app. You had to pay money to upload a picture of your own house. It would have been worth it to me if it functioned. It is not well-made. I have not been able to successfully use it sense I purchased it. Incredibly frustrating. To do anything other than plant a tree in some random front yard not much else you can do without paying 4 bucks each for just about Everything else LOL! This app doesn’t have my plants in their database (Coleus (different types) and Cannas (different types)). ### 1/5 — Horrible *2020-08-18* The app was very spotty and slow running. Sizing and placing was made difficult and the scrolling part didnt work at least 90% of the time, I couldnt even work on a design most of the time. There’s also very few options for landscape templates imo, plus you have to pay to unlock anything beyond regular plants. ### 1/5 — Not functioning as it should *2020-05-18, version 1.4* The back and delete function do not work and I have to keep deleting what I have done and start afresh if I want to remove an item or change something. I have asked for a full refund for the packs bought as this app is of no use to me in its current format. The total was more than what it says it is. ### 1/5 — Mobile is terrible *2025-06-05* I paid 30 bucks for this and the mobile version is awful. Read a review that said desktop is much better. In the days of phones, we should be able to use a better app, but I’ll give the desktop a try ### 1/5 — Paid for subscription that I can’t access on my iPad *2025-03-30* I paid for a subscription on my phone ($30 I believe) and it’s not being recognized through my app on my iPad. It didn’t require me to create a login to pay so I assumed it would automatically update through my Apple ID. Apparently not and I refuse to pay twice. I was excited to use this app for my garden designs but I’m not going to be confined to only doing it on my phone. Waste of money and time **Developer response:** I am really sorry you experienced such a problem with access. It’s unusable now though and a complete waste of money. ### 1/5 — Great for visualizing but for all the in app purchases it’s not worth it *2023-06-06* You’ll end up spending like $20 to get all the plants. Hire a graphics designer to make the plants. I don’t think this app is ready to be released yet. Bye! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Difficult to Use/ JK *2025-02-05* I’m going to keep my bad review below because I should be punished for such a bad take on such a great app. I will say that I was having a very hard time on my phone but once I realized I can use it on my desktop it was a game changer. I do landscaping for a living and this saves me so much time and effort. I can upload a clients house and lay out my entire plan in minutes to send with my estimate. This really is a great idea and it should have a much higher rating. I just started to “use” this and I already hate it. It’s difficult to adjust where I want things to go. I can’t get straight lines for when I change the ground type. There is no mulch. I tried to make do with the black gravel but I’m all over the place when filling it in and I get a green dotted line that I can’t seem to adjust so half of my flower bed has the old mulch color. Really disappointed, and I’ll be canceling this today. ### 5/5 — Love it! *2024-05-25* Wonderful wonderful app!!! They have come a long way with their app features and function. AMAZING customer support. If you have a question they get back to you right away! There is a wide selection of plants and the graphics are perfect for the application. Using your own image as the background helps to create ideas on the fly that I can show to my clients. As a future landscape architect, this app really allows me to explore garden design and share that exploration with others. ### 5/5 — Great for visualizing garden design using own photos *2024-05-18* I love this app! Have spent hours on it, varying the sizes and colors of different plants to visualize my garden design with tons of my own landscape pictures. It was so successful I added shrubs in the back of my house as well. I have gotten so many compliments on my gardens since then, and everything looks beautiful now that it’s growing in! ### 5/5 — Great app *2022-09-05* The developers describe it as simple and powerful and that’s true. It allows you to use your own existing photos of your backgrounds, or take new photos, and then position plants and landscaping on these to visualise and create garden designs. Thanks also to the developer for the great communication and quick fix when I encountered a prob. I’ve been really happy with this app. ### 5/5 — The only app that helps me visualize my yard! *2017-04-18, version 1.4* I am a beginner gardener who have always wanted to liven up my yard but never quite knew where to start. This app makes it incredibly easy to plan my project, with a great database that can filter plants specific to your climate, light and watering needs. Plants are also placed to scale when you are designing.
