So I tried resetting my password and when I click on the link I get the same message saying “address is invalid”. I wanted to login to delete my profile. Anyone searching for my name on Google would be able to find my acc on garden tags which isn’t what I want and not being able to delete my personal data I believe goes right against GDRP. Please contact me asap ### 2/5 — It’s really buggy *2022-05-17, version 5.3* Adding plants is really buggy and throws an error. It sometimes works and sometimes results in a ‘content not found’ error. Editing plants that don’t work to try and add the “missing” photos brings up a blank screen. Considering I only installed this last night I doubt I’ll keep it. It also seems like a lot of the features are subscription only which seems rude considering this is a community database and we are providing most of the information that makes the app what it is. Sorry to say I wouldn’t dream of paying for the premium service for such a buggy app and skewed business model. ### 5/5 — Everything you need in one place! *2021-07-23* I love it! The tasks work very well, but unfortunately the app has a defect and does not provide full plant encyclopedia access. After multiple emails to the developers, I finally got a reply indicating it was a defect that would be fixed soon. Sadly, no fix has been forthcoming (it’s been about 3 weeks since I rather defect was confirmed) and the developer isn’t responding. I feel like I’ve only gotten half the functionality I paid for and am really disappointed because the app seemed to be exactly what I was looking for to track plant maintenance. ### 2/5 — Encyclopedia *2020-03-12, version 5.2.5* That was before the ads and the hidden encyclopedia:=> Really good application and the encyclopedia updates easily and fast. I am so pleased with this application. It's a useful social media. Now it’s not interesting. ### 1/5 — Latest update ruined the app *2019-12-22, version 5.2.3* Used to be my favourite gardening app but the most recent update has made many of the features premium only, which requires payment. I normally don’t mind paying for a good app with decent functions but unfortunately it’s also so full of bugs and crashes that it’s not worth paying for in its current state. For a free app, I didn’t mind putting up with the bugs but a paid app needs to have a smoother, mostly bug free interface to get my money. There would have to be a lot of fixes before I would consider paying for premium and the free features that exist now, can be replaced with some literal plant tags and a photo cloud. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not for plant care *2025-05-11* Reading the description, you’d think this app would help you with notifications to remember to water your particular garden plants and other basic care. But apparently you can’t set up any of that without taking photos of your plants and posting them like a braindead child instagrammer. Pass. In my case, I tried taking the photos needed to add my plants. But no plants were recognized and I couldn’t find any of my plants by searching their names. I’m probably the only person trying to grow carrots, pumpkins, peppers, and asparagus. Exotic, rare plants that probably don’t exist in this app’s database. ### 1/5 — App stopped working! *2025-04-23* It is spring, so I’m back in the app. Nothing works like it used to. There is a post from 18 weeks ago that they changed their hosting scheme, but no posts in my feed since then. Something is seriously wrong. An app shouldn’t be able to charge if no longer supported. ### 1/5 — Can’t get into the app *2025-03-21* I have had GardenTags for years. Helps me keep track of my plants and their progress. However, I got a new iPhone 16 max pro replacing my iPhone 11max pro. Ever since I have not been about to get into the app. I have changed my password etc, and still cannot get into the app. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. Still can’t get into the app. Now I ant get access to all my plants and photos. I don’t understand what the issue is. But needs fix asap. Or the app needs to get me all my photos and plant list to me so I can add it to another app that actually works. Been two months trying to get back in the app, and the spring flower season has started. What is going on? Why is this not fixed yet? Will change my rating when I have access to my account again. ### 1/5 — Extortionate nonsense *2025-01-04, version 5.3* I had this app for years. It was great. I got to see peoples plants and interact. The true meaning of social. Now it’s locked behind a pay wall, and worst of all it’s subscription based! Not even a one off purchase! Sorry, but that’s nonsense and it’s taken the social aspect out of this once great app. ### 1/5 — Don’t purchase *2024-10-07* I just got this app and you can’t get a refund it gives no information on plants you take a picture of UNLESS someone “happens to see your picture! Disappointed with this one as it keeps freezing and I have to close it then try to start again.
