Die Integration in Garmin Connect sowie die Auswertung der Tauchgänge sind gut umgesetzt und hilfreich. Verbesserungspotenzial gibt es jedoch bei der Bedienung: Änderungen an Parametern überschreiben sich teilweise zwischen App und Webversion, und Tauchbuddys lassen sich nicht verwalten oder löschen. Zusätzlich können nach dem Wechsel von einem anderen Tauchcomputer die Tauchgangsnummern auf dem Descent X50i nicht automatisch angepasst werden, sodass jeder Tauchgang manuell korrigiert werden muss. Mit gezielten Verbesserungen in diesen Bereichen wäre die App nahezu perfekt. ### 2/5 — Améliorez l’analyse des courbes de remontées *2025-12-20* Cela fait 5 ans que l’application est sortie, et 5 ans que vous continuez à ignorer la simple demande concernant la vitesse de remontée. Garmin se veut un esprit d’évolution, en amenant les utilisateurs à s’améliorer en permanence. Garmin vient de sortir des giga monstre pour la plongée technique, comme la MK3i et la X50i et surtout, la Balise S1 qui est une avancée totalement astronomique, délirante, bluffante tant l’utilisation est variée et unique (suivre ses plongeurs avec un sonar, mais dans quel monde on vit ??? C’est une dinguerie, une poule aux œufs d’or) Et à coté de ces innovations incroyable pour la plongée engagée, il y a « Garmin Dive », une application tout juste loisir et absolument pas dans l’âme de Garmin qui pousse ses utilisateurs à s’améliorer. Pourtant cela fait des années qu’on vous demande d’améliorer cette application pour les moniteurs. Lors de mon N2, j’ai pu comparer avec Shearwater, et c’est fort dommage de voir que les ordinateurs Descents sont super efficace, mais que l’application ne propose même pas de quoi lire les données des Descents. Pour aller droit au but : Améliorer les fonctions de suivi des plongées en permettant d’ajouter bien plus d’option sur le graphique de plongée, comme par exemple : La vitesse de remontée (et s’il y a d’autres données à ajouter, profitez en). Vos ordinateurs sont ultra performant, la MK3i vient taper la bise aux Teric, et elle se permet même le luxe d’avoir SubWave, du jamais vu dans le monde de la plongée, innovation tout droit sorti d’un film de science fiction. Et pourtant, Garmin dive est ridicule à coté. On a absolument rien sur le graphique de remontée pour s’entrainer, pour chercher à s’améliorer. Une IA qui analyse notre vitesse de remontée pour nous donner des conseils serait un plus, et très sincèrement… avoir au moins la courbe de vitesse de remontée serait un luxe, tout le monde le fait sauf Garmin, qui est pourtant l’entreprise la plus avancée aujourd’hui dans la plongée Loisir/Tec. Pourtant ça fait des années que dans les Avis, ce soucis là est remonté, et pourtant rien est fait (depuis des années). C’est à se demander si Garmin Dive sera mis à jour un jour, ou si une autre application sera créée pour réellement répondre aux besoins des utilisateurs. N’oubliez pas que vos ordinateurs sont tellement performant qu’énormément de moniteur et plongeur Tec les utilise, et avec l’arrivée de la Balise S1, Garmin risque de devenir un leader mondial et détrôner Shearwater, mais ça ne se fera jamais dans un effort sur l’application Garmin Dive ### 4/5 — Log map view *2025-10-22* Since the last update, the log doesn’t download the entire dive log at once. Because of this the map only shows the last few dives. ### 2/5 — Nothing more than digital paper. *2025-09-21* Although the basics are covered by this app it still uses the ‘digital version of paper’ model rather than showing much digital innovation. For example, every field without information from your computer needs to be completed every time. There’s no learning or assumption made. It could be so much better for standard equipment sets. Templates, educated assumptions, ability to copy from previous dives would all be methods that work. Never mind though, please continue to individually tick every item every time. Make a dive with a single transmitter recording air consumption? Nice but please manually set the tank material every time and the transmitter source data from a list of precisely one item. And so on. The closest thing to a good idea was preselecting a dive site based on location. Sadly Garmin seem to be missing most dive sites so the guesses are annoying because they need to be deleted nearly every time. But why not have your own dive sites saved I hear you ask! Ha ha, no. GO ON GARMIN. Inzwischen empfinde ich da anderst. Die App will Jedes Mal alle Daten aus der cloud runterladen, was im Ausland bei schlechtem Netz echt mühsam ist. Beim synchronisieren mit meinem Descent x50i wird die Tauchgangs Nummer nicht mehr richtig hochgezählt seit dem Wechsel von mk3i. Auch ist kein Export in das Logbuch von SSI möglich. Fragen im Garmin Support Forum werden auch nur von Bots beantwortet. ### 4/5 — Gut aber verbesserungsbedürftig *2025-07-14* Edit: Großartig! Der Fehler, dass selten dive logs nicht übertragen wurden, ist behoben! (Zumindest bei mir!) Bleiben einige Features, die das Leben einfacher machen würden beim loggen: Allgemein finde ich die App gut. Es ist einfach und bequem die TG zu loggen und darauf zuzugreifen. dennoch möchte ich einige Verbesserungen vorschlagen: Feature Gear Setup: die meisten von uns tauchen dasselbe Equipment. Bin ich nun im Urlaub und mache meine 10 Tauchgänge oder auf einer Safari mit 4 TG am Tag, so muss ich jedes Mal meine 7-8 Gegenstände loggen (sofern ich Bock drauf habe). Schöner wäre es, wenn man neben der manuellen Auswahl der einzelnen Gegenstände auch mehrere setups definieren könnte, zum beispiel mein typisches Urlaubs-Equipment und mein Kaltwasser Equipment, das man dann mit einer Auswahl übernehmen kann. Feature von letztem TG Übernehmen: wenn man mehrere Tauchgänge innerhalb eines „engen“ Zeitraums macht, dann wäre eine Option gewisse Eingaben vom letzten TG übernehmen zu können. ZB Ort, tauchplatz, Buddy, Equipment. Auch hier Beispiel tauchurlaub: alle 20 TG denselben Buddy und als Ort Ägypten eingeben ist etwas nervig. Feature customized view: eine einfache Option, welche der ganzen Zeilen man nicht sehen möchte und auch die Möglichkeit die Zeilen neu anzuordnen. Beispiel: mich interessiert die Anzeige des Bühlmann Algorithmus gar nicht (erst recht ohne die Faktoren), würde ich mir am liebsten direkt ausblenden. Und beispielsweise den Buddy weiter nach oben setzen, warum ist das Gewicht nicht beim gear? Customized eben. Und wieso ist die Reihenfolge der Einträge unterschiedlich zwischen Anzeige und Editor? Verwirrend! Ein paar Einstellmöglichkeiten wären super. Feature gear overview: ich persönlich finde es nett eine Übersicht zu haben, welches Equipment ich mit welchem Gewicht und Flasche und natürlich auch bei welcher Wassertemperatur hatte. Dafür möchte ich nicht die entsprechenden Logs suchen sondern nur die entsprechenden Konfigurationen sehen. Bisher schreibe ich mir manuell eine Tabelle damit ich weiß welches Gewicht ich bei welcher Flasche brauche. Oder welcher Neopren der ist, den ich bei 26grad warmen Wasser sonst genommen habe. ### 3/5 — Good dive log, several bugs *2025-07-01* A good app for logging dives automatically from the MK3 watch. Several bugs exist like not being able to add dive sites to a logged dive (search function is broken and doesn’t find sites 60% of the time, despite them being in explore) and logged dives will randomly go missing but the app still increments your dive count as if they exist. Wenn zb der ein in Thailand taucht und der andere gerade in Mexiko ### 3/5 — Nice layout with a great view of your dive, but still has sync issues *2025-05-07, version 2.22* This is a solid and probably necessary addition if you own any of the dive series of Garmin devices. The mapping feature is fabulous! My rating would be 5 stars based on the beauty of the dive logging interface. However, as an owner of a MkIIi device, I still experience sync issues on multi dive days. On a 4 dive day, it is rare that my watch will sync more than 2 dives to my phone and the app. This can hold true where there are any multi dive days whatever the count, it simply won’t synchronize all the dives. I have tried the PC connect software and always ensure that watch, iPhone and App software are up to date. Considering the cost of these devices we should expect more consistency from the sync software. Thankfully the dive log remains intact on the watch and there is a way to enter dives manually into the Garmin Dive app. Check on-line forums before you buy as I am certainly not alone with this issue! ### 2/5 — Missing dive equipment *2025-04-22* Dear Diving App Team, unfortunately , the options for pressure gauges, snorkels, and octopuses are missing from the equipment selection. Furthermore, the weight cannot be entered in grams or with a decimal point. When can you add this? So kann man eine gute App einfach schlecht machen. They are fantastic tools for dive computer and logging dives. They were easy and intuitive to use. Even on my smaller 43 mm watch I could see all the data fine during the dive.
