First poor experience is discovering which sessions have a replay and the slides available. A filter would have fixed this. Then there are sessions I didn’t have access to - remove them (add a filter option set by default to not show sessions n/a). Lastly, trying to open 2-3 session PDFs resulted in the application becoming unresponsive. Very annoying. Lastly, the replays must be downloadable (likely policy not app issue). I travel a lot and I want to watch sessions I missed during the long flights ### 3/5 — Good, could be better *2026-03-18, version 19.0.59* Needs to be available for Mac downloads. How is this still not available? As noted this doesn’t let you pick the calendar to sync to so I had to turn that off. I would like to see this released for Mac so I don’t need to bring both an iPad and Mac to a conference. Currently I use my iPad, bout would prefer the Mac to take notes, download the slides, etc. ### 2/5 — A Recent Update Broke Agenda Navigation *2026-03-10, version 19.0.59* Clicking on anything other than the session at the current time is impossible. I’m in an active conference and the iPad version of this app doesn’t let you navigate to sessions other than the one the app picks for you. This is an issue if you want to read about other sessions, or look at the livestream on the app, or look at the PDF session PPT to see if that is the session to go to. The current bug renders the agenda portion of the app useless during the conference. The good news: the iPhone app works flawlessly, so I can work around the issue by using the iPhone in conjunction with the iPad. ### 2/5 — Login Gets Out of Sync *2024-05-15, version 19.0.39* If you have trouble logging in, just use the website! I was able to login ONCE after changing my password. The next time I tried to use it it says user id and password don’t match… even though I use the exact same credentials on the website, worked fine on the website, still couldn’t get in the app even after trying changing my password again. Fortunately the website gives me enough of what I need. ### 4/5 — Good, could be better *2024-03-23* As noted this doesn’t let you pick the calendar to sync to so I had to turn that off. I would like to see this released for Mac so I don’t need to bring both an iPad and Mac to a conference. Currently I use my iPad, bout would prefer the Mac to take notes, download the slides, etc. ### 4/5 — Good conference tool - a suggestion *2022-11-26, version 19.0.22* The app allows me to see everything important and to work with it as well. A suggestion: Synchronization with the calendar is a good idea, however, my device is my own and my company allows me to use it (BYOD). The app, however syncs with the default calendar. In my case, my default calendar is the shared family calendar with my wife and now, her week is full of every 30 minute session, etc… that I’m attending. You should be able to set the calendar it will sync with (and in my case, My Outlook calendar would be the best, but short of that, I should be able to designate a different calendar without changing my default. ### 4/5 — Lost 2021 Orlando Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo? *2021-08-02, version 19.0.7* After the last update, no longer shows up as either “My Conferences” (I’m registered.) or in “All Conferences”. ### 3/5 — Pluses and Negatives *2019-10-23, version 18.6.3* Pluses - Easy to book events, meetups, breaks and review your agenda on the fly. - Lots of useful features Negatives - Application crashes on a regular basis - Messages arrive, but the application gives me NO help in finding the messages and taking action. ### 3/5 — Too many crashes *2019-10-16, version 18.6.3* As I am reviewing the conference agenda and selecting sessions that I want to attend, the app will randomly crash. However, the app should allow to select specific calendars in Outlook. Events would add to my personal Google calendar instead of work calendar. Even though,work calendar is the default. The app doesn’t handle increased text size for accessibility. One example, the filters screen only shows the first letter of any item in a list if text size has been increased. Navigation is difficult. Took me a while to find the WiFi information. Filters cannot be easily turned off temporarily, you have to reset the filters and start over to reapply them. There is not a way to bookmark pages in presentation slides, nor “open in” another application. ### 2/5 — Sorting information is impossible *2018-11-08, version 18.4.0* The app should help facilitate networking between people and firms. But often, I am planning for later in the day or the following day. Ironic coming from an analyst firm that touts their role in digital transformation. ### 3/5 — Great functionality, inconsistent performance *2018-06-07, version 18.3.0* A must-have for attending a Gartner event, no doubt. Performance and UI complaints: - it just freezes sometimes. My other apps don’t do this. I’m guessing that it’s during a sync or information retrieval. When it freezes I can’t scroll, select, etc. - it tries to be too smart on some screens, such as auto-scrolling to “now”, etc. Problem is that it doesn’t always do so promptly, resulting in missed or inaccurate selections. - the ease of de-selecting agenda items also means that it’s easy to miss and hit the wrong one. When looking at “my agenda” it would be preferable to either require confirmation or entering edit mode to remove. Since there are no alternative apps I know that I’m shouting down a well. I had no events during the first 3 launches, two of which resulted in crashes. There are docs linked to sessions, which result in an "additional access required" dialog. And this is still stuck in the iOS 6 aesthetic - it's been 2 years. ### 1/5 — No "open in..." *2012-11-05, version 3.1* Last year you could download a PDF and "open in " an annotation app of your choice... This is no longer possible... If you email, the .pdf file extension is not on the attachment and so the iPad does not know what to do with it... So you can't use "open in..." From the mail app either... Fail... Pease put the "open in..." function back...
